La Garrigueは31 Jeffrey Streetに位置するフレンチビストロです。エディバラの有名なロイヤルマイルのすぐ近くに位置し、ウェイバリー駅から数分の場所にあります。レストランではフランスのラングドック地方の名物料理をテーマにし、フランスの素朴な家庭料理にモダンな感覚を加えています。オーナーでシェフのジャン・ミシェル・ゴーフルは、この地方について詳細な知識を持ち合わせており、田園地帯の最高のフランス料理に、南フランスを思わせるアレンジを加えています。2001年の開業以来、La Garrigueは数多くの重要な賞を獲得しています。ほぼ毎日メニューに改良が加えられ、親しい仲間とのランチやディナー、小人数のグループでのイベントにぴったりの場所です。おいしいランチとディナーのレシピとは別に、終日のメニューを提供しています。広範囲におよぶワインリストは、フランス最大の生産地であるラングドック地方を代表するものです。

    The main courses (we agreed) were very tasty and just right for a celebratory lunch, with excellent wine. Desserts lovely too. Very pleasant environment and very friendly and prompt service.

    Delicious food on a balanced menu with good service to compliment an all round excellent product. Good location near the station and Royal Mile. You won’t be disappointed.

    The staff asked what we had planned for the rest of the evening. I really appreciated this. I was able to tell them that I was going on to the theatre, and what time the show started. I noted that the food and end of the meal fitted in well with the timings. Other eating establishments should take note. The food was delicious. My dish with squid stuffed with rice was stunning. When I visit a restaurant, I want to eat something I would not attempt at home.
