We arrived and they were CLOSED for renovation
I would not recommend Open Table.!
We had reservations for 4 people at 8pm on a Friday. But, when we arrived, there was a note on the door that stated they were not open and were undergoing renovation. Why couldn't they have contacted me via OpenTable or the phone number I left, so that I could have made other dinner arrangements? It took us another 1.5hrs to find a table at a nearby restaurant, since it was a busy Friday in Coconut Grove. Unprofessional, to say the least.
Muy buena la comida, buena ubicación. El servicio bueno.
Excellent food at a reasonable price topped off with really great service. Will definitely eat here again.
Terrific tapas and wonderful seafood paella. Food and service were exceptional
Food did not stand up to the previous reviews. Our lobster was mushy and the paella was tasteless.
We had reservations and were told there was a private event inside the restaurant but we could be seated outside. We arrived and they were startled that we came. Hesitated to seat us. Then left us sitting for a half hour. We left and walked back to our hotel and ate there 😕
Everything was excellent from the greeting to desert. Fantastic server
Very courteous and prompt service. Nice clean fresh table settings and friendly staff anxious to please . Very small but nice clean and neat. All had tapas, seafood entrees , wine dessert and coffee. If you like Spanish food from the Catalan area, you will like this place. Would definitely return for comfortable, nonrushed Saturday night dinner.
Perfect meals bit slow on service though. Maybe the server was having a thought night.
Great food, friendly service. A little crowded but adds to the experience!
Truly outstanding food and very friendly service. La Gamba had a "neighborhood" kind of feel. We truly enjoyed our dinner at LA Gamba.
Ordered paella, opened the mussel and a dead crab rolled out of it. Really put me off. The appetizers we ordered were average at best. Menu was expensive for what you get. Would not return.
Both chefs I have experienced at this restaurant (one from Catalunia, the other from San Sebastian) are excellent
Pleasant ambience, good service, but that's about it. The appetizers were boring at best and the entrées lacked imagination and flavor. Would not go back or recommend.
Excellent Spanish Menu, specially from Barcelona service is excellent and attentive
The food was authentic Spanish and excellent.
The service was very good with a cozy atmosphere.
Great meal with service to match.
We have been to La Gamba in the past to sit alfresco while having tapas which were very tasty. This time we ate inside with friends. Our waiter was very attentive, and great because he answered all of our questions, and gave us his true opinion on his recommendations based on our questions. The food was delicious. We had the grilled artichokes which we would recommend, and was enough to share between four people as an appetizer. We also had the smoked octopus appetizer, smokey with a garlic alioli very delicate and unique. My friend and I had the branzino which was cooked to perfection, and our husbands had the lamb chops and lamb shank. Both of their dishes were dripping with savory flavor and satisfying portions. At the end of the meal we had desert because it began to rain. The two deserts were chocolate mousse which was like a usual mousse, but the manchego cheesecake with raspberry reduction was very different and yummy. As it was still raining, the waiter invited us to cortadito coffees complementary. We would definitely recommend this restaurant, and return in the future.
Delicious Spanish food!
Un lugar acogedor,diferente
Calamari was too oil , the main course was bad I didn't like it
Hidden gem-- the food is beyond description and priced so reasonably!
Ventured over to this small, quaint restaurant in Coconut Grove for dinner one night and had a fantastic time. Food was excellent, the staff was great, and price was very reasonable for the amount of food we received. Definitely will be going back. had a great time. Thnak you
Excellent service.
I had my in-laws visiting town and decided to take them to La Gamba based on friend's recommendations and on their OT reviews. Very, very, VERY happy I took them here! The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered a bunch of plates to share, most notable ones where the angus ribs, the Spanish Seafood rice (incredible flavor!!!) the 5 jotas ham, grilled prawns with a brandy sauce, a grilled vegetable platter and a strawberry gazpacho which was incredible. The place is small but it make it feel authentic and warm. The servers and the owner where all super friendly and did a great job at making us feel at home. I am definitely coming back asap and will recommend to anyone looking for authentic Spanish cuisine that will leave a mark on you!
I invited very important persons based in my experience sometime ago.I think the owner is differ ent.The Cava was warm .Just one person to take care.Service slow.Food so so
and when I suggested a change in a Cava offer that they had,one young fellow who said
was the owner teached a lesson of how not to attend a customer.
I will not return.I will not reccomend the place.I will reccomend not to go there.
The place has very limited sitting and parking.
We arrived, were greeted immediately and sat down since we had reservations. The oxtail croquettes were amazing, but other than that everything was very blah. Thankfully the servers were nice, very attentive. The meals were tiny. Not a lot of flavor. We ordered the chorizo and chicken paella and it didn't taste that great. The chorizo was hard and portions were really small. Would not recommend this place and we will not be returning.
The food is excellent, and the menu varied. The only reason I gave 4 stars not 5 as value is we ordered what we thought was an octopus salad and actually was a green salad with a few, very few, thin slices of octopus. We enjoyed it, but it was not what we expected. Or thout we were paying for. The special rice of the evening was with seafood and was amazing! Advice, ask your server for a description of the dish you are thinking of ordering.....then enjoy it!
Gambas excelentes
great service and unique, delicious food. nice local place in the grove
Great spot for lunch highly recommend you seeking out this venue
Food horrible, too small portions, too spencil , i went there last february 14th night, they tould me by phone that live music is part of the reservation, but no music , i'm no happy .
An enjoyable tasting menu. a bit pricey considering small portions and limited menu, but well prepared and artfully served. Great for a light dinner and drinks, enjoyable street-side in the Grove. Excellent service and preparation.
Excellent food for those than really appreciate simple perfection. The way the rice is cooked with seafood is an unique experience in Miami area.
The ratings we found were pretty good and the restaurant was close by, so we gave it a try. My wife's salad was very good as was my shrimp appetizer. However, the paella was disappointing in that it needed a lot more flavor. Even adding their house sauce didn't improve it much. it is a small place; not more than 30 seats.
The food, service & the place are great .
It looks like the schedule of the live music has changed, and the night we went there wasn't any. Highly suggest, if possible to time a visit when the there is music. Specially the duo playing Cuban music.
Some of the best Spanish food in Miami! Always love to go back. Servers are friendly and helpful, recognized and greeted us even though we hadn't been there in awhile. Highly recommend!
Small place (not much elbow room) with sidewalk seating available. Enjoyed the artichokes with ham and the seafood paella (great texture to the rice) on this, our first time visit. Service was very pleasant and accommodating. Worth trying again. The Grove seems to be making a comeback.
La Gamba has the best spaniard food in Miami. The staff is fantastic and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food served.
