I think this is a cute little Italian restaurant, food was good, very quiet atmosphere, and service was very attentive which is always nice! Not as exceptional as I hoped but still pretty good, wouldn't discard it when seeking Italian food!
Wonderful service and food! Very accommodating with our 6 month old baby. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Food was delicious and our server Remi was so attentive!
The atmosphere is actually not bad but the food is as average as it gets. The waitress was extremely slow.
always a great time at la Fontana!
Went here for the first time on Valentine’s Day and it was a select menu, which we had no idea. The pasta in the second course was undercooked. The waiter was a bit impatient as well and their menu had no prices listed. At the end, a large bill was brought out and we were confused cause we did not enjoy our food and everything was pre-selected. The food for two with no drinks except water and 2 cokes was not worth almost $200, mind you a 20% gratuity was added and the waiter was not great.
Horrible experience for Valentine’s Day. 4 courses were extremely rushed and not to mention extremely small portion sizes, the whole experience was comical until the bill came out and was close to $170 for horrible food and service
I came to dine on Valentine’s Day. The staff was very welcoming and extremely attentive. However, I was not impressed with the ambiance. There were pink balloons tied to each chair which made the dining experience feel a bit tacky. Overall the meal was average. The basket of bread that was brought out was cold and stale. The food did not seem fresh, and the salmon I ordered was over cooked. This experience costed us $65 per head.
I had reservation for inside when we arrived the waitress tried to sit us outside I told her no I wanted inside it was Valentine’s Day we felt rushed and the servers never really came to check on us they just kept nodding their heads at us the food was just ok we had mussels with white wine sauce they ga e us 8 mussels and sauce was real thin and didn’t have to much of taste the other appetizer they picked for us I will will amid that the lobster ravioli was good
Great food on Valentine’s Day. Service outstanding. Don’t forget it’s a BYOB. So bring some fabulous wine to go along with the great dinner
Beautiful restaurant! Perfect for Valentine's Day or anyday for that matter! The pasta is all homemade, excellent food, excellent pricing and service!
Food was incredible. Came out so fast and the service was amazing. Will definitely be back!
Awesome service and delicious food!
Food was amazing! Our waiter tended to forget things but overall it was fantastic
Delicious food. We had the tilapia and risotto with shrimp. Both were done perfectly. Didn’t realize it was a BYOB, but was able to run to get some drinks a few blocks away.
Service wasn't attentive, spent most of the time conjuring inside at the hostess station. Decided not to even order dinner after appetizers took 45 minutes to get
This was our first date location in Philadelphia and it now it has become our favourite whenever we visit the city! The good is amazing and can’t be compared! Authentically Italian!
This restaurant has some of the best Italian food in all of Philadelphia!! The atmosphere is amazing and the service is impeccable.
I have been numerous times and always good food and service
I went with my date at the time. The setting was immaculate and the food was delicious. The service was spectacular and vibrant. I would definitely go back:
Ceasar salad was swimming in dressing, SERVED stale bread, spaghetti was noodles WITH a mixture of ragu and prego
Delicious Italian! Fairly priced and BYOB which made it even better!
The food was just ok. Didn’t taste like homemade pasta. Bland.
Amazing food and service. A must try
Had a nice outdoor dinner at this local Italian place. Heater made it pleasant. Big menu with nice variety. One criticism my husband and I both had was that our meals were under-seasoned. Other than that, pretty good.
Great experience with amazing friends and food!
The food is delicious and the portions are generous! Will definitely be going back again!
It seems this restaurant overbooked tables. My party of 4 waited about 40 minutes past our reservation to be seated and have a server come to our table. We had to hunt someone down to serve us as it seems we were forgotten about. Once they had realized their mistake, the food and overall experience was quite nice.
First time to dine here and had a great experience. We were about 10 minutes late but they still sat us quickly despite the long line outside. We were given one of their cabins for two with our own heater. Nice! Our server was great! He knew the menu pretty well and he was nice. My bf wanted to come back the following night because he liked the place very much. He ordered the special veal with the gnocchi. Perfectly done! The gnocchi was tasty and the veal was done how he ordered, medium. I ordered the vongole and it was good. To be honest, I have had better Vongole but I won’t let that deter me from coming back to this place. The whole experience is just wonderful that i would recommend people to come visit this place. Oh and it BYOB. :)
Great food and ambiance, I would highly recommend it
Fantastic food, very authentic, nice staff
The veal shop with the gorgonzola gnocchi was unbelievably delicious!
They do it right. Not pretentious. Tasty, good portions, byo
Arrived late to reservation and was greeting very nicely and they were able to accommodate without question. Sat outdoors in a street cabin that was well heated. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Attended on NYE and set 4-course menu was served. Everything tasted great and very reasonably portioned.
Went for NYE and the pre-fixe menu was great. the trio of pastas was the best! The gnocchi was the best I've had and the ravioli was perfect! I got the risotto primavera for my 3rd course and it was just ok - just seemed like it was missing something but the flavor was still really good and the quality was great! I love going to restaurants and seeing all of the staff chip in to refill water, refill bread baskets, clear plates, etc. and they did this perfectly here! We never had to wait for anything.
We went for the New Years meal. 75 bucks plus twenty percent automatic gratuity for four courses. My mussels weren’t hot but weren’t cold. My pasta wasn’t hot but wasn’t cold. My salmon was a little overcooked even though I specifically asked for it not to be. The cheesecake for dessert came super cold, almost frozen. In short, I don’t believe the meal was worth the price. However, I had a terrific experience. It was warm for outdoor dining because they had plenty of heaters. Our waiter was from Albanian and phenomenal (can’t remember his name, but he was attentive and accommodating). The setting is beautiful with all the string lights so it was extremely romantic. So, while I have had much better food for the price, I still walked away thinking that I would like to go back. It was a really excellent time with really okay food.
Fontana never disappoints. Food is very authentic with such flavor And heart in the dishes. Always a pleasant time here.
The staff at La Fontana are amazing. Make the dining experience fun. The food is also delicious!
Fantastic setup for outdoor dining dying covid
