La Fontana Della Citta
Fantastic dinner. Outside table on very seasonal October night.
Been going there for years. My favorite and my friends.
Really not worth the visit in a city full of choices.
It was excellent!
I love La Fontana Dell Citta. I have been here multiple times and we absolutely love it. The food is great and the dessert is great too. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends
Food was bland and overpriced will not be recommending this restaurant
We had an excellent dinner at this wonderful Center City BYOB restaurant near Rittenhouse Square. The dishes are very creative and authentic, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The Branzino and Lobster Ravioli were so good that we forgot to share! A nice bottle of Italian wine compliments the meal well.
My gnocchi tasted like little pillows of joy
When we got there they did not have our reservation. They converted a two top for three people! Very uncomfortable and the room was packed I had a conversation with the people next to me practically on my lap. Food was good after my husband returned his dinner because it was the wrong dish. Dessert never came so she wrapped it up to take out!
This BYOB place blew away my expectations! Everything was perfect, from the food to the service. I will definitely be coming back soon. And eventually I would like to host my rehearsal dinner because they have private rooms which are amazing.
DELICIOUS! great, wonderful, kind service. BYOB. Will definitely go again.
Amazing Italian for a reasonable price! Definitely will be coming back!
I come here occasionally, and I always have a good experience. I LOVE that it is BYOB. I find the service to be courteous and competent. The Restaurant Week menu was really quite a good value!
Fantastic BYOB restaurant and fantastic staff
The food was excellent and I want to thank the manager Ari. Rem and Ola served me and offered a very high quality service.
Definitely going again
I went here with my friend for Restaurant Week. I had done my research before and saw that past reviews were mixed. However, I'm a sucker for hearty Italian cuisine, so I took a shot. The food was pretty good, nothing special though; portions were good for a 4-course RW dinner. Service was very polite and professional, however, this one waitress seemed to keep rushing me asking if I was finished with each course, even though I clearly wasn't. I wasn't sure if she was trying to quickly turn over the table because we already had a late reservation, and the restaurant had been emptying out by then. I did like that the place was BYO because that saved us money on drinks. Over all, I enjoyed the experience, and I would possibly return with a larger group of friends or family. The restaurant seemed more so equipped for that.
A lovely place with a great staff and delicious food! What impressed me the most was the hospitality of people in this restaurant and the willingness of the lady in front desk to sit and welcome people without letting them wait! Honestly enjoyed the food and Ervis one of the waiters was really friendly and didn’t hesitate to offer me what I needed.Definitely going there again.
Last night I had the best time at dinner I ever had. Ola waited on us. And I can’t thank her enough for making everything go so well. Our reservation was for 1 accidentally and they had no problem sitting 2 of us. She was knowledgeable, entertaining and very hardworking. Food portions were big enough that we took half home with us. I highly recommend this place. If you like to feel appreciated for your spending go to la Fontana Della citta.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and my family and friends loved it. This time the service was slow and not experienced and the restaurant was not busy. I heard the owners sold out. No one was trained and they should also be told that a thank you would be nice.
Love love love this place ! Me and my family went there to try it out for restaurant week and to be honest it was the best experience ever, everything was just perfect we were treated soo nicely and Ola was amazing. They were able to accommodate us with no problem even though it was busy and we didn’t have a reservation, don’t even get me started on the food which was amazing and the portions were just perfect! I recommend this restaurant to everyone and i will be definitely going back really soon.
The manager and his waiters were all arguing and yelling at the front desk. I️ was Waiting in the men’s line for over 20 min to find out it was locked and no one was inside of the bathroom me and my girlfriend had to use opposite sex bathrooms because they were either locked or being occupied by the wrong gender for each bathroom
Fantastic staff and amazing pasta & gravy.
The place was cute . The service was top notch . Just felt the food was average at best .
The wait staff stood over our shoulders while we ate and didn’t bring our drinks until after the last course
The restaurant was very nice. The ladies room needed attention there was no soap and the toilet didn’t flush. I let the manager know and he addresses the issue right away. Myself and my husband went to try this restaurant during restaurant week and was pleasantly impressed. The food was delicious. My only issue was the portion size was very small I guess because of restaurant week. I left still a little hungry. I will definitely go again during regular hours LOL
The food was just okay. Their Alfredo was probably the best of everything. The place was dirty. Waiters kept bumping our chairs to get through. And the bathroom was filthy.
The food just was not good. Many other options to choose from in the city, I don’t believe we’ll dine here again. The pasta quality was comparable to hospital/high school cafeteria food. The sauce marinara was also flavorless. I guess I know now why there were reservations available on a Friday evening during restaurant week.
The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 starts for service is because when my son and I entered the establishment, the young lady at the front desk didn't even bother to look up to greet us. The young man had to come from the other end to do so. Other than, everything was good.....we enjoyed restaurant week.
Restaurant Week food quality was NOT good.
Food was about average for a traditional Italian restaurant. Service was sub par. Did not advertise BYOB so we arrived unprepared.
The food and service were good, except for the risotto, which the person who had it thought was disappointing.
Stale bread to begin and then the
cheese in the antipasti though was horrible. It was like eating wax. My girlfriends steak was not filet mignon but some kind of flat, one. Her side of spaghettis sauce was something out of a jar and my risotto dish was not risotto but rice. I would've rather thrown a $100 bill out of my car window. People who "don't know" may think this food is good but it pales in comparison to many an Italian restaurant. I would have rather went to Olive Garden which is sad to say since I'm Italian.
Good for everyday dining. Food/value is good. Good neighborhood spot for family/casual.
Amazing food and service! We have celebrated many different occasions here and also just come for no reason. We always have great service and love their food. Definitely recommend!
The service was amazing! Such great attention to detail. The calamari was amazing. The best calamari we have ever had. Dinner was amazing. I can not wait to go back!!!!! Thank you to Ari and staff for such an amazing experience!!
There’s good service, and then there’s La Fontana Della Citta service. They made my girlfriend and I feel incredibly taken care of. Very polite and helpful staff with great knowledge of their restaurant and went above and beyond to make sure it was the best experience possible. I’d argue it was the best service I’ve ever had. The food was also incredibly good. I would highly recommend!
Soooooo so so so delicious. It’s BYOB!!
The food was excellent. We were able to sit outside on a nice summer evening. The service was great as well. Everyone enjoyed their meal
This elegant restaurant in the Rittenhouse neighborhood of Philadelphia serves authentic, unpretentious Italian food. Quality is high, portions are generous and the wait staff are courteous, swift and Italian. There is a lot of value for the prices here which are moderate. BYOB but if you forget it’s likely you will be offered one glass of a nice house wine.
This restuarant is a hidden gem! The food is always good. The atmosphere is friendly!
Unfortunately I'm disappointed to say that there is nothing to distinguish this restaurant. Service was average except for the lack of appropriate response to the insect on our table when we were seated! Traditional Italian fare did not present freshly. Too many other great options in Philadelphia that will prevent us from returning.
