Love everything we had! Just a bit tight with a large party in the center of the room made it a bit uncomfortable.
Food was good, but they had way overbooked for the night. We finally got to our table 30 minutes after our reservation and it took a good hour after that to actually get our food.
Food is consistently good here. Noise levels can get very high, service is typically good but can be inconsistent. Specials are priced much higher than the menu, so you may want to ask.
Great service The watress was new and so sweet. She will be a assess to the restaurant
Love coming here evenings... early, or late. Off season, (at the beach) you can always grab a table most times throughout the night. Fresh, never heavy food with authentic Mediterranean taste. Every grade of cheese, meat, is higher quality than you'd fine in other restaurants. Don't mistake this for an "everyday" Italian restaurant - it's superior! Scallops on special in basil sauce are yummy, the shrimp risotto, and bolonese, salads...all fab. Great friendly & attentive wait staff. Notice that it's a BYOB. You might score a little limoncello house made, if the day & mood is right and it's available:) Thanks for another wonderful visit!
Great experience for Easter dinner with our family.
Easter Eve family dinner. La Fontana has excellent food, inviting atmosphere and accommodating staff.
Todd greeted us and sat us us immediately. The service was very attentive, the food was delicious and Todd continually check to see that everything was the way we wanted it. Another great experience. Thank you.
We have been to this restaurant before unfortunately it was an off night for the staff.
Best Italian food in SEa isle city NJ. The dishes are made to order fresh and are fantastic. Waiters always polite and accomodating.
everything was GREAT - the food, the decor, and the service!!!
should inform customers of costs of specials. It came at quite a surprise. Other than that overall, it was a good meal, but, not get a special. Stick to the menu, you can't go wrong
we have been several times before and in the peak summer always feel like they are rushing us out. I get it - small place and you need the table. So we stopped going in the summer and were going in the off season. Visits were better. went last weekend with a last minute open table reservation - walked in and was seated right away and given menu's - then we did not see the waiter for quite some time - did not know about specials etc. There was a large table set up in the back so once that group started arriving, the rest of the place seemed to be ignored. We finally got the waiter to tell us the specials and we promptly ordered our meal before he walked away. the bus people were fine - water and bread etc. got the food - he dropped it off and turned away - did not bring cheese or a bowl for my shells etc. I had to flag him down. done the meal - waiter never came over to check on us. we finally asked the bus person to get us two coffee's and to tell the waiter we needed our check. IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT! there were only 2 waiters in the whole place trying to service a full room - after our arrival, the rest of the tables filled up and he had all of them and the other waiter was doing the group with two bus people for the rest. That is the fault of management to realize that you have too many guests and not enough staff. the food was great - such a shame that the service always sucks.
Server spot on
A little pricey
Lobster ravioli was delicious
All in all a nice evening
One of our favorite restaurants and always a great dining experience
We went to LaFontana for New Year's Eve. Our meal was delicious, as usual. It was a little disappointing that the restaurant was somewhat overbooked, as our table was literally right up against the parties next to us on both sides. Luckily the people were very nice and friendly. But we won't let this deter us from returning. The food is always a treat! We have never had a bad meal here.
Once again I really enjoyed the food at La Fontana in Sea Isle. I like that it is a BYOB. Although it was New Years Eve I was pleasantly surprised the food was outstanding as usual.
The only complaints I had is people were packed in like sardines. I know they are trying to make everyone happy but it was crowded and loud. Due to the volume too the service was spotty.
The desserts were exceptional!
First time for us all (14). It seemed that everyone really liked their meal. A little pricey but special. Liked how they seated our large group in a “square” of tables so we all could see each other, rather than one long line of tables. Service was excellent, especially given the size of the group.
My wife & I were there this past Sunday & took advantage of the price fixed menu.
Service & food were both great ...Mussels, eggplant voltini, veal la fontana & the pasta with seafood were all terrific. Meal was well paced & service was excellent. Good value for $35 also
included salad & desert.
The food and services was great however it was way to noisy almost to the point where we could not hear ourselves. Also my friend and I split the bill and we gave the waitress two credit cards, but unfortunately both were charged to my account. She was very nice but I don't think she understood that we wanted to split the bill.
Great meal and service
Food was good and staff was informative and friendly. However they seemed very busy and the wait was longer that it should be. Do not know if someone called out or since it is out of season they didn't expect to be so busy.
The Service and Food were nothing special. Thought the entrees were a little pricey with no salad or soup to accompany them. Would go somewhere else next time.
Great place for family or date. The food is always great. The staff is very friendly and make your time there great.
My wife and I have dined at La Fontana on numerous occasions. They serve up some of the best Italian food in the world - and we should know, having been in Italy and around the US. Always consistently good. Great service and staff. I highly recommend.
The best restaurant down the shore. The gnocchi Gorgonzola was great.Even the service was warm and friendly.Cant wait to go back
The food was outstanding-OMG- I had Lobster Ravioli with the sea food and it was to die.Service was excellent and we don't rushed and we had a great time. Can not wait to go back
After being elated to find a nice restaurant open in the off season, I was disappointed to discover that their website claim for an ocean view must have referred to one of the paintings inside of the restaurant. There was no hope of glimpsing the ocean from their location. The waiter brushed off my question about the website claim. Not a great start to experiencing the restaurant for the first time.
The specials sounded appealing. I ordered the veal one and my friend ordered a chicken dish from the standard menu. Service was attentive and not rushed allowing us to order and eat at our own pace.
The bread was cool. With so few people in the establishment, why won't management take the extra appreciated step of warming the bread? It is such a small thing to accomplish that is so appreciated by diners.
The food was just OK. To our surprise, both dishes seemed to be swimming in the same, unremarkable brown sauce. It completely overwhelmed the taste of the veal in my dish.
I have eaten at one of their other restaurants, in Avalon, and felt the food served there was far superior to my meal at their Sea Isle City location.
Our Dinner at La Fontana Coast was unfortunately a little disappointing.
The restaurant was completely overbooked, so we had to wait with 15 other people for about 25 minutes until we got seated. They didn't clean any of the tables, so eventually every table around us was full with used dishes and dirty, even though the customers had left a while ago. The food was good, but also not worth the price. The ambiance was very nice, we met some nice people at the tables around us, what saved this evening! In general: good food, nice ambiance but very disappointing, chaotic organization!
Great Restaurant! Great service and food. Never disappoints!
Great restaurant with excellent menu and warm atmosphere. It is a go-to for our family in Sea Isle city.
Food cooked and served to perfection.
Tasty variety and wide selection.
Best restaurant at the Jersey Shore bar none.
Food was absolutely delicious! We started with the Caprese and Spinich Salad. Both were delicious. The salad was perfectly dressed. The Pollo Alla Franchese was amazing, so light and tender! The Vitello Milanese was very good but a bit tough. Topped off dinner with lemon sorbet with limoncello, perfect ending to a great meal. It was very crowded and very noisy. It wasn't the best place to celebrate our wedding anniversary but you could beat the terrific meal.
This is our 5th and 6th visit I guess. Always a great meal with great service.
I would definitely recommend this place.
One of our favorite restaurants at the shore. If you have not gone yet, you must put it in the list
Service was excellent and food was prepared perfectly
This restaurant never disappoints. We are very fortunate to have this neighborhood gem within walking distance.
You are greeted at the door like a friend and service is amazing. Ledian is the best!
Excellent food!! Never ever had s bad meal. Can get very crowded.
Great restaurant, food never disappoints. This one, and sister restaurant in Avalon, are 2 of our favorites. Veal Francaise in a delicious sauce this time.
This was my first time at La Fontanna and I was not disappointed! I had read and heard good reviews about this restaurant but getting a reservation during the summer season is difficult. But my wife and I happened to be vacationing in Sea Isle in September so we thought we'd make a reservation to judge for ourselves. The service was very good, the waitress was attentive and the quality/quantity of food was very good. I would recommend La Fontanna to family and friends especially in the off-season.
