This is one of our “go to” restaurants. The food is delicious, and the service is always friendly and very professional.

We are never disappointed with the food or service at La Focaccia. Because it's a BYOB restaurant, you can have a fantastic meal and enjoy great wine while keeping the cost down. Ambiance is very attractive, but it can get noisy when the restaurant is full.

We had a wonderful experience (as we always do!). They were very accommodating when storms made part of our party coming in from Long distance over 1.5 hours late. The food was excellent - I split 2 entrees with another person and they came out plated separately which was perfect. I always forget they’re BYOB but fortunately there is a liquor store nearby that can be walked to quickly.

Made a reservation for Saturday night. lot of people, long wait from original time.
During the wait, waiter did not tell, that no wine would be served, you need to bring your own !
Two girlfriends, took a long time to get our food, and service was almost rude (our check was throuwn on the table without any words).
Place was full, so maybe this was one time incident, but we were not happy.

Beautiful room. Very attentive wait staff. Our server, Roger, always checked to see how we were. Can’t wait to go again.

How can a restaurant place damp napkins in front of diners? Repeatedly. Seat a small party right next to a large, loud, noisy table of celebrants when other tables are easily available? Refill the red wine glasses but not the white? Have a halibut special on the menu and then, after it's ordered, come back and announce that the fish is actually red snapper "but prepared the same way"? This restaurant is slipping. The owner/manager needs to have a sit-down with the staff. The food itself was good, not great.

Gnocchi while may be homage lacked flavor and the peas tasted chalky. The tuna tartar was good. The chicken was somewhat burnt and the dessert came out way before the coffee. Won’t be going back. We were celebrating a birthday which we informed them of and they didn’t do anything. Typically we don’t expect this but they did for the table directly next to us so it was awkward.

This is an excellent N. Italian restaurant with consistently fine food. It's an excellent value and they let you relax and linger. It was very crowded so my only reservation was the noise level but that's to be expected on a Friday evening.

Yummy Italian food not far from Short Hills Hilton where our friends were staying. A little pricey for pasta but it's byob which made it ok. The pasta was delicious and a perfect size portion. The chopped salad was really delicious. Peanut butter pie for dessert was YUM. Strawberry pie was disappointing maybe because it was nuked too much and was hot and looked unappealing.
The restaurant was crowded so quite noisy.
Would definitely return if in the area.

When we arrived at opening until about 6:45 the restaurant was quiet and sparsely occupied. However, that changed around 6:45 when diners arrived in larger numbers. the noise level grew so that conversation was difficult.

The waiter was brief and not pleasant or helpful. We felt rushed as we were deciding on what to have. The noise level was loud and the food was nothing special. I do not recommend this place.

I have mixed feelings about whether or not to recommend this restaurant. The server was attentive but never once smiled and was not at all friendly. Food was average: the descriptions on the menu were more appealing than the actual flavor. The restaurant is pretty, contemporary and very clean. This was my first time dining there and I don't know that I would rush back because the food was disappointing.

Very nice restaurant.
Almost everyone in our large group really loved their dinner. One of us found the Tuscan stew too spicy, particularly since it was not indicated as spicy on the menu.
Ambience is elegant. Parking isn't terrific, but there is a small lot diagonally across the street.

Have better meals here in the past. My veal chop parmesan ( a special) tasted liked it had been premade and warmed up before it was served. In fact the pasta it was served with was cold when it arrived and had to sent back.

Always a good meal, always very difficult to carry on a conversation but worth it. Food is generally consistently good and separate and many round tables make it easier for groups of 6 or more.
Expect to wait even with a reservation.

Recently dined here for a birthday party. The service was terrific. We ordered several tasty appetizers for the table to share. Everyone had an entree. Pasta dishes, veal, rack of lamb, and the snapper were delicious. When the short ribs came out over done, the waiter exchanged the entree with a different meal in a timely manner. The night was finished with cakes. Love that the place is BYOB, too.

We met friends for dinner at La Focaccia. Our meal was absolutely delicious. My appetizer was a warm goat cheese salad with arugula, which was fresh and wonderful. My entrée was the branzino with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and it was superb. All of us were members of the "clean plate club" with our entrees. I fed my chocolate craving with a wonderful sundae consisting of a chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, served in a parfait glass. Our friends shared the key lime pie, which they loved. The only negative to the evening was that it was a Saturday night, the place was packed, and it was extremely noisy.

LaFocaccia is the most consistent restaurant I have ever patronized. And I should know...I have been dining there essentially since the day it opened, twenty five years or so ago. There are never any surprises. Many of the wait staff are the same people who served me decades ago. Don't tell me that experience isn't valuable. It's worth is re enforced every time I walk through the door. If you seek an outstanding dining experience each time you show up, become a regular at La Focaccia. It is a uniquely fine restaurant.

Another great BYO with endless options for pasta, seafood, chicken and veal. We tried a grilled antipasto misto that was fabulous, as well as a Caesar salad. We enjoyed the pounded veal chop Parmesan which was a plentiful dish with just enough pasta, as a side, to satisfy. The dish was enough to share and so we did. Our other entree was the sauteed calves liver with onions. Growing up with liver on the menu for dinner, this was a comfort food and it did not disappoint. Always a great meal, with servers who are no nonsense. They are ever present and make sure your dining experience is memorable.

One of our favorite spots, where the food is consistently good, the service is professional and polite, and the dinner specials are great additions to the already very strong menu. We shared two starters: the fired artichokes which were fantastic--light and crispy, not heavy and greasy, and the tuna tartare. My husband ordered a pasta special and I had the grilled shrimp with white bean puree (my standard order!). The staff treats the guests like family and it is always a pleasure to return to La Focaccia.

My daughters and I have been celebrating my wife's birthday at La Foccacia for a number of years.
In addition to the delicious food, we always interact with the wait staff. Even though we don't dine there as often as we'd like, they always remember us. It makes for a very enjoyable dining experience.

This is a great restaurant. This is a restaurant where I frequently dine with my husband and friends. On this particular night, we were three women looking for a relaxing dinner. From the very beginning, I felt very rushed. I felt the staff was hovering to take our plates away the minute they thought we were done with our meal. When asked to see a dessert menu immediately after dinner, I informed the waiter that we wanted to relax for a bit before ordering dessert. The waiter seemed annoyed by my request. This was during the week where the restaurant was not at all busy, therefore, I felt there was no need to rush us through our dinner. All in all, the food is very good.

The food was good and there were a number of items on the menu which I would have been happy to order. Pasta's were fresh and flavorful. Salads were interesting, tasty and not over dressed. Soup was delicious. Waiters were unsmiling and surly. Restaurant was louder than necessary making conversation a bit difficult. Overall I would return due to the paucity of equivalent food quality in the area. Given the prices ($30/entree; $20/pastas; $14 /salad) the if the wait staff was more welcoming, warmer while serving and more helpful I would be running back.
