Always a pleasure. The food was terrific. Highlight on this particular evening was foie gras tortellini. Great place with a superb wait staff and excellent wines at uninflated prices.

Mother’s Day brunch. Ham and eggs on toast with ramp pesto too salty to eat. Service adequate. Drinks good. Was very disappointed as I’d heard such good things about this restaurant. Probably won’t return.

We always enjoy our meals at La Fia, and this was no exception -- special treats included the scallop carbonara, the roasted beet app, and the fiddlehead ferns! The service, however, was not quite up to our expectations (or experience here). It took a while for our server to come, though drinks appeared promptly, however, once we'd ordered she said she would bring some bread, but it didn't appear until after our appetizers were served, and an extra side order of roasted cauliflower only appeared toward the end of our meal. It won't keep us from going back -- we think this is one of the more interesting menus around, but management should be aware that some slippage may be happening.

Absolutely delicious with excellent service to boot! Highly recommend the scallop carbonara - or really, any of their house-made pasta - and a cocktail. I will most certainly be back!

From their menu one can select items to make a tapas meal with drinks, or create a four course meal of exceptional quality. The wine list had many fine domestic and imported selections by the glass or the bottle. The house made pastas are exceptional. Highly recommended.

So basically the food was disappointing. The dates were good bu ive had way better, the octopus was not firm and lacked flavor although it looked the part. Im assuming it was frozen. Both of our veal parmesians we just ok. no sauce just chunks of tomatoes, the paperdelle pasta was tasteless, the pudding dessert was very good. I would love to go back because the setting is charming but the food was just not worth it to go back. It was a bit pretentiuos. the best part of the meal was the bread.

Simple but clean, farm to table look right on Main St. It’s small but can occomadate an intimate table and a large group. The bar looks like lots of fun. The food is excellent and presented with such flair. Try the octopus appetizer or the beets and goat cheese. Delicious! Excellent service. Definitely worth the drive from West Chester, Pa

La Fia was absolutely wonderful...from our charming table for two in a window alcove to our seasoned and delightful waitress named Amy who made the evening even more memorable...we had a marvelous couple of hours enjoying the menu for Restaurant week...the octopus was among the best we've ever had, the crab cake and serrano ham bites were delicious and the trout and veal were amazing. We started with handcrafted cocktails...spring sling (highly recommended) and a refreshing manhattan...we wish we lived closer...we'd be regulars!

La Fia always excels. Lindsey has been my server several times and she is outstanding. She remembers my favorite drinks and that there is a certain food I do not like. She always answers - or can find the answer - to our most detailed questions. The food is always superb, the drinks are divine, and the service is smooth as silk. Hangar steak is fabulous, as was the gumbo and the scallops carbonara.

La Fia never disappoints. Wonderful menu that makes decision making difficult; so many dishes look very appealing. Never had a bad choice here; the only problem is missing out on the dishes not chosen.

We were not told that we could just order other than the 35/person menu. Our server was not very informative . And a dark haired server / a girl , a bit heavy set was not very friendly to us.

Sorry

Waste of time and money!
We went during restaurant week and maybe that was a mistake, but we will never know because we will never be back. The hostess was really sour and adamantly refused to change the table we had been given (up by the bar). We dined early and there were still several tables free in the room. We could hardly hear ourselves think it was so noisy.
Neither of us recall what we ate. Non memorable totally. Drinks were OK. The bread was the best part of the meal. Really a shame.

La Fia remains the best restaurant in Wilmington. It is like dining in New York or Philadelphia...except you can find a free parking space on the street.

We picked La Fia because we had tickets for a show at The Grand Opera House and wanted to try something new on Market Street. I loved the space, the food was delicious and creative, and the price what I would expect for a special meal. I will most certainly return.

We always think simple food prepared with seasonal and fresh ingredients is the way to go, and La Fia most of time delivers a treat. My husband's risotto with ramps and pocini mushrooms was delicious. He intended to take some home, but it never made it to a take-home container. My trout was beautifully cooked with a crispy skin but was moist, always a feat in cooking trout. We were very pleased with our meals and look forward to going again soon.

Usually the food is fantastic at La Fia but, this past visit, it was totally off. The veal parmigiana was tasteless and the pasta was cold. The trout entree was so-so. You could taste the oil in which is was fried and the farro was runny. Maybe it was just an off night for the kitchen but, for the prices, it should be consistent.

This is a gem of a restaurant. The food is delicious, and beautifully presented. We got the beet salad to split and it was very tasty! The rigatoni was cooked perfectly and also tasted great. The Tiramisu was also wonderful! No complaints here, except that the bread had seeds which I can't eat. I wish places would be more sensitive to people with diverticulitis.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at La Fia the other Saturday night. We now have a new favorite grilled octopus. My wife had a very nice trout dish and I had a great double pork chop. This is our second time at La Fia (we don't get out much) and I can't wait to go back. The service was outstanding and the vibe is laid back and comfortable. It is our favorite Wilmington restaurant.
