From the whimsical craft cocktails, thoughtfully selected wines, and craft beers, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the bar.
Food & Service was perfect. Highly recommend the short ribs and the duck.
The food was really good as well as the service. I would recommend it.
Had a wonderful meal after eating at home for 4 months. The chef is amazing and really hit the mark on every course.
I love this please, nevertheless this meal was my least favorite.
Reservations made at 6:30p on a Saturday. It was pretty busy our waitress was amazing. However we weren’t able to put in a dinner order until an hour later. My date’s plate was warm, however my steak was lukewarm at its best. By the time our food arrived it was super chilly outside HOWEVER they were very accommodating and were able to seat us inside. Cocktails weren’t the greatest either. But beautiful decor (inside and outdoor seating)
Enjoyed entire experience. Great choice.
The team was amazing
Excellent food and service. The steaks were cooked perfectly. We would highly recommend. Nice restaurant.
Delectable dining! My new favorite restaurant. Fun cocktails. Killer duck confit. Warm atmosphere. Can’t wait to return.
Another great 3-course dinner at La Fia This is a great value, why not advertise it.
Food is reaching very sophisticated levels with new chef. Both appetizers and entrees were excellent as well as surprising. We dine out way too frequently and this was the best and most sophisticated meal we have had locally in years.
Wonderful 3-course meal (even if dessert was sold-out). Thank you!
Outstanding food available either indoors or outdoors. The menu is always changing and has something for all tastes. The octopus salad was the best I've had (even in Europe). The cocktails are also fabulous. This place is at the top of our Foodie list.
Great inspired food, nice outdoor seating and service.
I LOVE this place for its ambience and service and especially for the inventive dishes and drinks. The rye gnocchi is one of the most unique and beautifully composed ever. And of course, the octopus (and standard in the menu) is amazing and regularly reimagine just to keep things fresh.
Food was exceptional. My wife seafood risotto and had braised lamb ragout. Fresh ingredients full of flavor.
We will be dining there again soon.
Domain Hudson had been our favorite restaurant, then Chef Duane left for parts West. Now he is back at La Fia, his time away has sharpened his craft. Our meals at LaFia since his return have been superb. We always order the chacuterie, Chef Duane prepares his own smoked and aged meats. Our daughter does not eat liver, but she loves his pate.
Our meal on Tuesday could not have been better. Diego our server and mixologist prepared wonderful drinks. I believe everyone in Wilmington knows LaFia. With the addition of Chef Duane the restaurant has stepped up to a new level.
Always great all around! Our favorite place! Never disappoints!
Amazing 2nd meal at La Fia. We came here almost 2 years ago, and it was just as good then. I’ve traveled across Italy, and had meals there that were not as good as this. Highly recommend - both the service and food are amazing.
One of my favorite restaurants! The menu is small, but every item on it is fantastic. I took my server’s recommendation & tried the zucchini cake for dessert... HIGHLY recommend!
It's tough to want to try and find anything subpar. Online reservation was easy, hostess was friendly, server was informative, prompt and helpful. Food was outstanding. Had seafood risotto, octopus appetizer and masa cavetelli. My girlfriend's Cosmo drink was yummy. Decor is soft, not overpowering and cool looking. If I could find anything, it was the light fixtures are dusty. But in my second trip in two weeks, La Fia is my favorite Delaware eatery. Chef Dwain's dishes are creative and excellent and staff were perfect. Drove from Galena, Maryland so it was about a 50 minutes one way. We can't wait to return.
Food was amazing! Will be back soon!
We came to La Fia from out of town. Our reservation was for 8:15. Due to traffic we didn’t arrive until 8:50. The staff were so accommodating despite the fact that the last seating was at 8:30. They didn’t rush us at all. The food was spectacular AS ALWAYS! Lindsay, our server, was just delightful!! Thank you for a fabulous relaxing evening! Can’t wait to come back!!
Fondly Terry and Tom Cekoric
Great staff and great food. Basically perfect.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had!! It was simply OUTSTANDING!!! Chef Dwain’s food was above & beyond our expectations!! Every course was simply delicious & scrumptious!! The four of us thoroughly enjoyed & marveled every bite we had! We cannot wait to go back and do it all over again!!
The ambience was very soothing & charming as well! Overall I recommend it highly for the food, service and ambience - one of the BEST around!!
Drinks, meal, and service were great, as usual.
Our party of five dined outside. The service was good (our server seemed less experienced than their typical server, but given the recent reopening, it was perfectly fine) and the drinks were excellent. The food was truly spectacular. Their new chef, Dwayne Kalup, showed us his stuff. He is very talented and it shone through in every dish, particularly the charcuterie and the sausage—his specialties. We were fans at Domaine Hudson and will be back to La Fia soon to try more dishes!
Always loved this place and really wanted to support them through what's going on now. Enjoyed sitting outside and everyone sitting around us practiced respecting the other table diners. All the servers showed up with great attitudes and smiles behind their always on masks. And the food is world class.
It would be a real shame if Wilmington were to lose this gem.
Wonderful especially after not being able to dine out for so long. Lindsey was a terrific server and served each course timed perfectly. She made the evening even more special. Simply a perfect evening.
Great sitting outside. Food and service amazing.
Absolutely exquisite and a pleasant surprise. Our first time, but it won’t be our last.
Very quiet THR evening; waiter was very attentive and confirmed our wine selections and dinner selections. Dinners were excellent.
First return to La Fia since stay-at-home directive was issued.
Excellent food! Cheeseboard was great as always. Our entrees were both wonderful. Best meal we’ve had in a long time. We sat inside and were very comfortable. The bartender made a great dirty martini.
Food was delicious, and our server, Linsey, was really attentive, knowledgeable, and personable.
Dinner at La Fia was wonderful. We are outside to socially distance, and everything about the evening was great.
Timely and kind service, incredible Master Board as an appetizer, and creative and delicious entrees (roasted duck for myself and halibut for my dad).
We will definitely be coming back here again!
Really enjoyed our latest meal at La Fia. They made us feel very safe with their social distancing practices and their attention to detail with masks, gloves, etc...
The food was excellent, I had the duck and my wife had the spinach agnolotti with crab. The octopus and tuna crudo apps were delicious. Our server Lauren was perfect. She was attentive, knowledgeable and charming.
We've always loved La Fia. I'm so happy they've survived C19 and are still able to put out excellent food with great service.
La Fia has reopened with a menu that is even better than the spectacular menu they had before.
The grilled octopus is prepared differently, now paired with polenta, and it is even more delicately prepared. Always ranks amongst the best octopus we eat anywhere.
Tonight we had two pastas, the rye gnocchi and the spinach agnolotti. This is not an exaggeration, the rye gnocchi might very well be the greatest pasta dish I’ve ever had. Impossible to prepare the gnocchi better. The perfect light pillow that melts in you mouth. Adding the rye was such a delight. Paired with the bacon and cabbage it was almost like a deconstructed Rueben sandwich. The flavors were spectacular. An absolute 10!
Not to sell short the spinach agnolotti, it too was so delicately prepare. The best Italian restaurant could not do a better job.
Such an impressive welcome back meal.
You have to try again or for the first time if you’ve never been.
Desert was so great, a warm grilled zucchini cake with a sweet corn ice cream.
La Fia is an amazing restaurant, Wilmington is so lucky to have it on Market St.
Let’s all do our part to come back better than before and commit to a great return.
Anniversary dinner covid seating first time there. Mixed board, steak and seafood risotto. Everything was incredibly flavorful, cooked to order and fresh. Looking forward to visiting Crow Bar.
First meal out after being hunkered down for the past 3 months and La Fia didn't disappoint. I had the seafood risotto which was excellent. But my wife's rye gnocchi won the evening. Great food + Great service = Wonderful night out.
