The food was very good, and excellent service. I ordered crab two bites and they were delicious but super tiny.
We came to Wilmington for the weekend. Tried La Fia and loved the ambiance, the service and especially the delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Mary Ellen and Fred
Dinner before a show...terrific food and superb service.
Excellent! The duck entrée was the best we've ever had!
As always, La Fia was remarkable, outstanding food cooked perfectly, with attentive but not intrusive servers who were a great guide to perfect choices on the menu. The best cheese board, pork chop, and tiramisu I've ever had, hands down. Love this place.
Energetic? No it was just plain noisy! The 2-tops in bar area are too close together. Diego very helpful. Toast points with ceviche and ceviche excellent. Grilled octopus best we’ve ever had.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal as usual! All staff were cheerful, friendly and attentive, but didn't "hover".
Amy was an excellent waitress, the food was wonderful, the tiramisu was exceptional, the house salad was beautifully dressed and fresh, and the house made pasta was worth every bite, carb and calorie. My only issue was it was a little pricy. Definitely a repeat for us.
La Fia is an outstanding date night restaurant. The service was great as was the food. I highly recommend it for a night out or before a show at one of the nearby theaters/opera houses.
Absolutely delicious, as always! Wait staff was attentive and friendly. House-made pasta is always a winner. Only comment is that it can be LOUD. Is there some kind of soundproofing that can be done to mute it? Acoustic tiles on the ceiling, maybe? Regardless, it's worth it to enjoy a yummy dinner!
It’s always a great experience
Went for lunch. My lamb gyro and fries were not hot, in fact room temperature would be more accurate. Took a long time before the food arrived as well. Disappointing compared to previous dinner experience.
We really enjoyed it! First time going there... service...food... everything was wonderful
Always a pleasure. The food was terrific. Highlight on this particular evening was foie gras tortellini. Great place with a superb wait staff and excellent wines at uninflated prices.
Always a fantastic experience - love the food and artisan cocktails.....great vibe.
Mother’s Day brunch. Ham and eggs on toast with ramp pesto too salty to eat. Service adequate. Drinks good. Was very disappointed as I’d heard such good things about this restaurant. Probably won’t return.
Wonderful, food was great. Waitress was attentive to my entire party, including my daughter.
We always enjoy our meals at La Fia, and this was no exception -- special treats included the scallop carbonara, the roasted beet app, and the fiddlehead ferns! The service, however, was not quite up to our expectations (or experience here). It took a while for our server to come, though drinks appeared promptly, however, once we'd ordered she said she would bring some bread, but it didn't appear until after our appetizers were served, and an extra side order of roasted cauliflower only appeared toward the end of our meal. It won't keep us from going back -- we think this is one of the more interesting menus around, but management should be aware that some slippage may be happening.
Our experience is most always enjoyable and, best of all, interesting.
Great as always! Have never been disappointed here!
Absolutely delicious with excellent service to boot! Highly recommend the scallop carbonara - or really, any of their house-made pasta - and a cocktail. I will most certainly be back!
A friend and I visited for a late lunch, and everything was great.
I had a great time dining here. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet date night location!
From their menu one can select items to make a tapas meal with drinks, or create a four course meal of exceptional quality. The wine list had many fine domestic and imported selections by the glass or the bottle. The house made pastas are exceptional. Highly recommended.
As always a great experience, great food, great service! A hidden Wilmington gem!
Best restaurant in Wilmington. We always enjoy the whole experience. The food is consistently great, service is attentive and drinks are exceptional. We always return for another dinner.
So basically the food was disappointing. The dates were good bu ive had way better, the octopus was not firm and lacked flavor although it looked the part. Im assuming it was frozen. Both of our veal parmesians we just ok. no sauce just chunks of tomatoes, the paperdelle pasta was tasteless, the pudding dessert was very good. I would love to go back because the setting is charming but the food was just not worth it to go back. It was a bit pretentiuos. the best part of the meal was the bread.
Awesome visiting town for the night had lunch and dinner here. Pasta were insanely good. Muscles awesome and petite steak frites next day for lunch so good. You can always tell a good place by their bread. You love the bread too
La Fia is one of our favorite restaurants. We took out of town guests who as we loved the food
Few but good healthy choices...
small interior space
High quality dishes and outstandingly presented
Good size portions
Great for lunch!
Simple but clean, farm to table look right on Main St. It’s small but can occomadate an intimate table and a large group. The bar looks like lots of fun. The food is excellent and presented with such flair. Try the octopus appetizer or the beets and goat cheese. Delicious! Excellent service. Definitely worth the drive from West Chester, Pa
Friends and I went for restaurant week, food was delicious...wish the portions were bigger! Will definitely be back to try more dishes :)
La Fia was absolutely wonderful...from our charming table for two in a window alcove to our seasoned and delightful waitress named Amy who made the evening even more memorable...we had a marvelous couple of hours enjoying the menu for Restaurant week...the octopus was among the best we've ever had, the crab cake and serrano ham bites were delicious and the trout and veal were amazing. We started with handcrafted cocktails...spring sling (highly recommended) and a refreshing manhattan...we wish we lived closer...we'd be regulars!
The food at La Fia is consistently fabulous, and the restaurant week menu had plenty of wonderfully unusual options. La Fia never disappoints.
Delicious!!! Really nice atmosphere. I will be back😊
Great food as always!
Hands down the best menu for restaurant week, tons of great choices.
La Fia always excels. Lindsey has been my server several times and she is outstanding. She remembers my favorite drinks and that there is a certain food I do not like. She always answers - or can find the answer - to our most detailed questions. The food is always superb, the drinks are divine, and the service is smooth as silk. Hangar steak is fabulous, as was the gumbo and the scallops carbonara.
