Just a fabulous experience. The food was amazing and the service was prompt, pleasant and consistent. Could not think of a thing to make it better. Will be back....often!
Great food the 3 course meal was a little pricey but definitely worth it
excellent food and service every time I go. 100% pleased our table of 7!!
Food was great, as always! We went for restaurant week and will return again.
Wonderful Wednesday dinner. Think I'll make this a habit.
Brilliant menu, outstanding service and lovely atmosphere. Favorite restaurant in Wilmington
I am always worried when we return for the second visit to a restaurant that we loved so much the first time. No such worries at La Fia. Second visit was as good as the first. Other than the fact that they were out of both bottles of wine we wanted, everything was perfect. We went with individuals glasses and it was the perfect choice as none of us was drinking much that night. As expected, the service was superb, the ambiance great - like a rustic retreat but in the middle of a bustling city. And the food - so darn good! The qualms egg pasta was the star of the evening but everything, from the squid to the gnocchi, was simply great. We will return may times, I'm sure.
Incredible food. Just incredible. Delicious, well thought out and well executed.
Enjoyed the variety of small plates that were very tasty. The presentation on the plate was beautiful as well
Really good restaurant. Knowledgable staff, fantastic food and excellent wine. Wife and I sat at the “counter” bay window towards the street, made us feel like the only people there. Great evening. Highly recommend.
Food was fantastic! We shared each plate and really loved the presentation of the Master Board, and the flavors of the pasta dishes and the arancini were outstanding!
Unfortunately, we were a bit challenged by the service.
Loved every aspect of the evening out. The drinks at the bar were well made. The table was available on time. The waitress was fantastic and the food was delicious. Every course was beautifully plated and the perfect portion sizes for sharing. We are definitely going back soon.
Food very good, well presented and imaginative. We ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer which was delicious. Sat outside so the noise level was minimal. Very pricey though. Would go again just for the charcuterie board. Not sure the entrees are worth the price. When I made the reservation I noted that it was our 11th wedding anniversary but it was not acknowledged. Not a big deal at all but a little disappointing.
Fantastic meal from the bread through dessert! Loved the music playing and the energy! Started with a beautiful bottle of sparkling Cremant d’Alsace, cheese board, arancini, mixed salad, and octopus. We had the ricotta gnocchi and scallops, mussels dish for dinner. For dessert, the pistachio cake with sorbet and fudgelike chocolate hazelnut bar. We loved every bite!
We were visiting Wilmington, Delaware for a few days and it was one of the highlights of our trip.
Our waiter, Diego, made our dinner special. He was knowledgeable about the menu and the wines and very friendly. I had the fois gras special and my husband had the quail egg ravioli. Both are excellent but the ravioli stood out. We thought that this dish really highlighted the chefs skill and ability to come up with unique and complex flavor profiles. The Seabass that my husband had also demonstrated the chef skills. It’s worth your time to go to downtown Wilmington for this dining experience.
Love it 💕 will be back for more
La Fia was a great find for us when our daughter started at the UDEL. It has been our go to place. Always delicious! We will definitely make a point to come back even though she graduated!
The food was very good - the octopus was outstanding as were the smoked trout rillettes and seared sea bass. The pavlova was a disappointment - sticky like taffy rather than light and crisp, probably because it had been stored too long. Overall, therefore, I rated La Fia very good, and I would certainly recommend it to a friend.
Had lovely outdoor seating. Noise level was low, great service, amazing food and fabulous drinks. La Fia is one of our favorite local spots!
Very nice place and very good food; second visit, equally pleased than first.
A special pleasure to get back to La Fia. Little has changed, which is what we had hoped. The menu is revised and includes some ambitious non-European directions, like their new moqueca, a Brazilian-inspired seafood stew, which was a real departure and a true delight. Great care goes into each dish. We had delicate starters, rich and nuanced main courses, and a stunning dessert -- pistachio tart topped with a bracingly acidic sorbet. The wine list is shorter and by the glass. The selections are inspired, as before, and the wait staff is well versed in pairings.
Food and service was amazing, my mom complained about the volume of the music coming from the Queen.
These Wednesday prix fixe dinners are tremendous and a great value.
We had a lovely dinner out on the street. The staff was amazing. It was an overall great dining experience.
What a great dinner at La Fia. Literally everything we ordered was great with the rigatoni, the duck confit, and the rillette leading the pack. The service was fantastic and the ambiance just perfect. We can’t wait to return!
Absolutely great food. The service was spot on. All the staff were friendly and helpful really made you feel comfortable. The only minor thing was noise level. Customers and music combined to make the room a bit laud.
We will be going back the Duck and pasta dishes are fantastic!
Service was terrible but the food was great!!!
It was a beautiful night and we overheard lovely music from the bar across the street.
The food was above average.
Really great food, drinks and service. Highly recommend!
Went in a small vaccinated group for the prix fixe special and everything was superb!
The food variety and quality were excellent. Our waitress was accommodating
and we all were pleased.
Reservation was available on time. Table in window area pleasant. Waitress attentive and the entries were unique.
Came for brunch on Mother’s Day. We had a reservation, but had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. The food (pre-fixed menu) was excellent and so were the drinks (cucumber gimlet). We had to take dessert to go, but that was delicious as well. We had never been here before, and my understanding is they only do brunch for Mother’s Day, but it was so good that we will definitely return for their regular menu. Thank you!
Party of six dined on Mother's Day. Seated promptly. Food was excellent; however service was rather slow, especially for the second course. I can only attribute it a possible hiccup in the kitchen, as tables who came in after were served before us.
I won't hold it against them, though, because we always love the food at La Fia!
Excellent food and service!!! Highly recommended
Food and service were excellent.?mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
We tasted thru most of the menu and everything was delicious. Gotta try the Lamb ribs! Chef Dwain never disappoints.
Always a good choice for dinner.
Worth a drive from Philly.
