We had always had impeccable service and food at La Fia, but this $150 visit was disappointing. My entree was overly salty and I should have sent it back and ordered something else. The rest of the food was very good. We had mentioned when confirmed the reservation, and also to the hostess seating us, that we were there to celebrate both my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. That was apparently never communicated to the server, so I mentioned it myself. When I did, she removed my husband’s half-eaten dessert and returned it with a candle. It was not quite the evening I had planned.

We drove from Maryland to try out La Fia and couldn’t be happier with our decision to do so. Our server, Lindsey, was kind and attentive. Having mentioned it being our wedding anniversary, we were given complimentary glasses of champagne to toast our celebration. We ended up getting three appetizers, one main, and two desserts. Our favorite was the duck leg confit- if we weren’t so full we would have ordered another! Albeit a bit small, the restaurant itself was quaint and cozy. We would be likely return and to suggest this restaurant to friends/family! Thank you, La Fia, for making our anniversary memorable.

Fantastic meal all the way around! Would give La Fia more than 5 stars if I could. The cocktails were really interesting and delicious. The wine list was great. The food was outstanding!! Very creative and executed to perfection. From the focaccia to the semifreddo and chocolate cake, everything was amazing and on point. The service was wonderful, and all the employees were very informative and friendly. We really enjoyed our experience and if we are back in Wilmington would absolutely go again.

Interesting and very good food. Nicely presented and wonderful, attentive server. Prices ate moderately high, but fair for the quality and presentation.The wine list is interesting and expensive. I would recommend ordering wine by the glass. The crowd was diverse in all respects and many seemed to be regulars.

Important for us is wheelchair accessibility. La Fia is easily accessible! We went for the Wednesday price fixe menu, all the options we ordered were fantastic, it looked like other diners were ending theirs, too. Outstanding include the scallop appetizer and yuzu semifredo dessert. Our waitress was busy and attentive, but food was slow to come out of the kitchen, so don’t arrive really hungry like we did. The food was worth the wait though. We found street parking around the corner at 5:45 pm.

We had another amazing experience at La Fia last Wednesday, with their incredible prix fixe menu. One friend was completely new to La Fia, another had only been a couple of times, and the other three of us are long-standing big fans. As always, the food was outstanding: the duck leg confit, the octopus, and the zucchini-halloumi fritters were standouts among the dishes we ordered as appetizers, as was the Master Board--an incredibly thoughtfully curated cheese and charcuterie board. I actually tried something I hadn't tried before for the main dish--an amazing burrata and mushroom risotto that was *perfectly* cooked. I really think you can't go wrong with any of their options, but I was grateful, as always, for the excellent guidance from our server, both for me as a regular trying something new and for my friends who hadn't been there often. And among us we had nearly every dessert on the menu and every single one was phenomenal. As always, the cocktails were the best anywhere. La Fia has the perfect feel that makes even a Wednesday night dinner feel like a special occasion; the best, most on point service; and each dish is exactly what you hope it will be--worthy of continued conversation about how amazing it is for the 35 minute drive home!

I have been a patron of La Fia since it opened. The place occasionally will go through ebbs and flows but overall, you will never get a bad meal. The menu has been re-organized and new items are available, the wine list (which was always a weak spot) has been upgraded and allows much better selection. The food was excellent last night ! We had 3 apps, 3 entree's and 2 desserts. The flavors were superb and while the portions are not overwhelming, they were satisfactory. I highly recommend La Fia, you will never be disappointed !

Had a very nice dinner for my wife’s birthday. We were seated promptly and decided on the prix fixe menu. Our food was excellent and the service was good. The dining room is small and the tables are a bit close to each other, which does make it hard to have conversations. It also would have been nice if my wife’s birthday was acknowledged- I put it in the.reservation but there was no mention.

Another superb meal at La Fia! We tried some things I hadn't had before from the new menu, thanks to Diego's terrific suggestions--the zucchini fritters and the octopus starter--and they were superb. I would order both again, for sure. I also had a return favorite entree in the form of the wagyu bavette steak, which was, as is typical, outstanding. As always, Amy makes the best cocktails anywhere in Wilmington, and the desserts were terrific, too--the chocolate cake has evolved from the last time I had it and was particularly fabulous. We were discussing that La Fia always feels worth the drive to Wilmington, even from south of the canal--and that the value for the exceptional food you get is the best anywhere. Thanks for continuing to be my favorite restaurant in Delaware!

I’m always impressed by La Fia. The food and drinks are always top notch and consistently so. My only complaint is that it gets so loud in there it’s difficult to have a conversation with people at your table. Otherwise all is good.

Diego was an attentive and patient server, yet did not rush us in the least. The food was unusually creative (eg, quail with black pepper shallot jam) and nicely presented. The wine list was strong too, with lots of good choices available by the glass.

Wow the food was amazing. We had the fig toast, cape may scallops, and roasted mushroom dishes. They were all very good The scallops were cooked perfectly with a strawberry slice on top. Great combination our waiter was also very good Thanks J&K

La Fia has become our go to place for consistently great food and service. This past visit was spot on in those departments however they had issues with their a/c ( it was 90 degrees and humid out)and we were not notified beforehand nor was anyhng done round of drinks or dessert on the house or a discount off the bill, to try to offset the uncomfortable temperatures inside I would have been more proactive in the customer appreciation department and absolutely become more of a fan .

As always, La Fia was amazing. I was there for the Wednesday Prix Fixe which has to be the best value in all of Delaware--the most incredible food at a brilliant special price. I had the duck leg confit (the preparation at La Fia is phenomenal: crispy skin, terrific flavors in the accompaniments), the short rib (perfectly cooked, and with delicious, fresh flavors in the vegetables accompanying), and the yuzu semifreddo (which has been on the menu for some time but is a new-ish discovery for me at a server's recommendation in June, and is the perfect summer dessert: light, tangy, and a great combination of textures). And, of course, I had a red samurai cocktail--probably my favorite cocktail I've had anywhere. La Fia continues to be one of my favorite restaurants anywhere.

Took my in-laws who were visiting from out of town and everything was prepared to perfection. It was not too noisy you can't have a conversation. My in-laws kept raving about it throughout the weekend.

We came here for a special birthday dinner. The service was spectacular, cocktails delicious, wine selection excellent, and THE FOOD! WOW I think we ordered nearly everything on the menu and some items I would have ordered twice. Everything was incredible but you must try the duck! We had an early dinner at 5pm so was quiet but I could see the space getting quite loud later in the evening. Very attentive staff (though not interruptive) and a super charming atmosphere

We visited on a Wednesday when the restaurant offers a fixed price menu--at $40 per person the night we were there. We were skeptical, because of the low price. However, we enjoyed an extraordinary dinner. Each offering was superb, made even better by cheerful, attentive staff. The overall ambiance was of a friendly, neighborhood-oriented establishment, where everyone was enjoying fine food and a fun evening.

La Fia rarely disappoints. The menu has been updated and the new items are excellent. Cocktails are high quality and fairly priced. The wine list, while small covers all the bases and is mostly very fair in pricing. This is a go to place for my wife and I.
