La Fia simply does not disappoint - this was my fifth or sixth time in the last couple of months. Each time I have tried something different and each time I have been pleasantly surprised. Great food, excellent ambiance and the staff is welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable. Hope to see y'all soon.
La Fia was a great overall dining experience. The service could not have been better and the food was outstanding. The young woman who waited on us was the only waitress for all 12 tables and she executed her job flawlessly. We had two salads and 3 different entrees which we all enjoyed thoroughly. Highly recommend making a trip downtown to for good vibes and even better food.
3-Course dinner for $35! An incredible value. Fine dining with unmatched service. Go now!
Top 5 meals I’ve had in DE
A wonderful meal and excellent service! We both had the short rib with black eyed peas and a cheese board and it was delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
Could be my favorite restaurant in the area. Food is always delicious as are the drinks.
Outstanding as always. We dined outdoors on a chilly Halloween night, but the overhead heat lamps kept us toasty! We also were treated to a free concert (coming from the open windows of the Queen across the street)! Service was great, and the food was as good as ever.
La Fia remains one of Wilmington’s best restaurants. I can’t wait to return!
La Fia never disappoints. Food is delicious. Service is awesome. Just a fun night out!
My husband and I have had La Fia on our radar for about a year. Circumstances beyond our control foiled plans twice to dine there but we finally made it for an Anniversary celebration. It was worth the wait ! The menu was very interesting, our choices were fabulous. The mixologist knew her craft, service was attentive but not overbearing. The space itself was basic - clean and neat, good music at a comfortable volume. Can't wait to return.....
We very much enjoyed our meal at La Fia. It was Restaurant Week, so there was a special pri fixe menu to choose from. The duck leg and pork belly were great. The cod and steak specials were also cooked perfectly and very tasty. We will have to come back again to try their regular menu!
EVERYTHING on this menu is outstanding. The worst part is choosing. The restaurant week deal was amazing ($35 fir two courses plus wine), but I’d pay full price any day for the seasonal pasta (sugar pumpkin cavatelli) and the Finger Lake Riesling pairing.
Awesome food and a thoughtful setup during these particularly tough times. Only feedback I'd give is to block the outside tables from walking traffic better. Service was great, let us change from outside to inside so we could finish our meals without having to deal with the water main fixes happening near our table. All the food was delicious.
Food and service amazing, very special menu for Brandywine Restaurant week prepared by chef Dwayne AWESOME!
The food was delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. We felt very Covid safe.
We've been here before and it was just as good as prior visits. Excellent food. Great service. Will be back again.
Delightful and delicious.
We had a cozy corner table and a great meal at La Fia! Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic meal on Tuesday for Restaurant Week! The food was out of this world good, my husband even said “I don’t deserve to eat this good” - we actually ordered 3 of the pre-fix menus for restaurant week and weren’t disappointed. The duck confit and polenta stood out as first courses and the pork ravioli and shortrib were perfection! Our server Lindsey was super attentive and offered great recommendations. We were never left looking for anything! Don’t miss out- go to La Fia today! The best meal you’ll get in Wilmington, hands down
The food was great, the service was very good, the restaurant had a nice charm to it. Will definitely go back again.
The only concern I had was that even though paper menus are used because of Covid-19 , one of our menus had a stain on it, meaning that it had been previously used, so I felt the need to wash my hands after ordering.
From the moment we walked in the door, until we left, the whole experience was wonderful. We started with a glass of wine and the cheese board. We were also given a basket of toasted bread. Every cheese was wonderful. I don't normally appreciate lavender in food, but the lavender in the nuts was so subtle, they were delicious. My husband and I both had the cod, and highly recommend it.
We would often recommend La Fia to our friends. It is a little bit out of the way for us, but we always feel like we had a special dinner at La Fia.
This is our favorite restaurant in Wilmington. Inventive dishes, solid wine list, fun drinks and the BEST grilled octopus on the planet.
They rotate dishes and add new things seasonally. For Fall the pork ravioli and kale salad with figs are divine. We’re already planning our next outing.
The food was spicy and delicious. Very different cod fish-too salty- the seafood risotto was wonderful- in a chili broth and spicy.the pasta masa cavatelli-the taste of jalapeño pesto without too much heat-
The waitress was a real foodie and enhanced our meal with her descriptions of what to order and of our food
And how it was made.
We will definitely go back
We ate outside and the weather was better than expected. Clear night and the wind was blcked by the surrounding buildings. The food was great with an abundance of different flavors. Service was also great and very attentive.
My wife and I love this restaurant. My wife is very particular with food quality. La Fia has some excellent dishes. The Duck leg is outstanding, as well as the Beef Tartare, Albacore Tuna Crudo. The Pork Ravioli is also very tasty. The cuisine has many new French-American dishes, as well as Italian and even Scandinavian elements. Some dishes are slightly sweet for us, but other people may like that. The cocktails and service are both excellent. Their Market Manhattan is wonderful. Really nice place overall.
I absolutely LaFia, everything is always perfect! Even during a pandemic, LaFia never disappoints!!
We were happily surprised by everything. Our waitress's name was Natasha and she was extremely polite and helpful with helping us to choose our app, entrée and desserts.
always excellent, so happy they have survived the virus and doing better culinary than ever
Food & Service was perfect. Highly recommend the short ribs and the duck.
The food was really good as well as the service. I would recommend it.
Had a wonderful meal after eating at home for 4 months. The chef is amazing and really hit the mark on every course.
I love this please, nevertheless this meal was my least favorite.
Reservations made at 6:30p on a Saturday. It was pretty busy our waitress was amazing. However we weren’t able to put in a dinner order until an hour later. My date’s plate was warm, however my steak was lukewarm at its best. By the time our food arrived it was super chilly outside HOWEVER they were very accommodating and were able to seat us inside. Cocktails weren’t the greatest either. But beautiful decor (inside and outdoor seating)
Enjoyed entire experience. Great choice.
The team was amazing
Excellent food and service. The steaks were cooked perfectly. We would highly recommend. Nice restaurant.
Delectable dining! My new favorite restaurant. Fun cocktails. Killer duck confit. Warm atmosphere. Can’t wait to return.
Another great 3-course dinner at La Fia This is a great value, why not advertise it.
Food is reaching very sophisticated levels with new chef. Both appetizers and entrees were excellent as well as surprising. We dine out way too frequently and this was the best and most sophisticated meal we have had locally in years.
Wonderful 3-course meal (even if dessert was sold-out). Thank you!
Outstanding food available either indoors or outdoors. The menu is always changing and has something for all tastes. The octopus salad was the best I've had (even in Europe). The cocktails are also fabulous. This place is at the top of our Foodie list.
