We had come here for restaurant week and the group enjoyed the onion soup and trout almondine but fish was cited as slightly dry and the Mahi Mahi with root vegetables was excellent the steak frites was good and the three sorbets was excellent . Again the pastry was slightly dry. The waitser also corrected us on the incorrect placement OFthe bread and selection thereof . We also enjoyed the house salad.
Wine was good but waiter had it remotely placed acrosss the rooom so when depleted glasses were not refilled quickly
Overall we will definitely come back bit like any good thing you have to be vigilant of any slippage but we enjoyed it

I don’t know why There are such long gaps between my La Ferme visits. I always have wonderful meals there—most recently, pecan-crusted trout and, since it was a friend’s birthday, a fantastic Grand Marniere soufflé. With a roaring fire in the lovely dining room, it just right for a winter lunch.

The minute we walked through the door everything was fabulous. The host was perfect and took polite control and made us so welcomed. Everything that followed was perfect.

La Ferme never disappoints. We had three courses -- all different and everything was delicious. We asked for a quiet table and we were able to have a quiet conversation although the restaurant was fairly full.

I love Le Ferme regardless, even the private feeling of the outdoor eating space. Restaurant week menu definitely limited my choices-- but it was still a meal of things I loved. They did a lovely job. My companions enjoyed the chocolate souffle as always.

I love La Ferme and always recommend it. This time it wasn't quite up to snuff, but still enjoyable. We enjoyed talking to our waiter, newly arrived from France.

This was a birthday dinner . I didn't know it was Restaurant week so there was a prix-fixe menu, three courses for $40. It was a fantastic value. Delicious mushroom soup, tasty smoked trout to start, followed by pork medallions and salmon en croute. The salmon wasn't quite the best, which is why I'm only giving four stars. The pork was really good. Chocolate mousse was so good I wish I could have had two. The apple almond tart came with a candle in a strawberry for the birthday person, accompanied by "Happy Birthday" from the pianist. Many kudos to our waiter who was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was full, with a couple of large groups, so wasn't as quiet as it might otherwise be outside Restaurant week. The ambiance was cozy and attractive. It was our first visit there and I'm sure we'll be back.

It was my first time eating at La Ferme. French Food is one of my favorite cuisine. I was quite disappointed. The Fricassee d'Escargot Provençale was salty. The entrée Mahi Mahi was overcooked. Couldn't even finished the dish. I had better souffle somewhere else. However the service is good but I do care more for the food.

We visit La Ferme once or twice a year for special occasions and has never failed to deliver. If you are looking for ”traditional” romantic atmosphere, this is a great place, especially mid-week when it is not very busy. I’ve always been impressed with their menu and the way they execute it, and their good selection of wines. The staff are friendly and attentive, but not unduly so.

I met 4 other colleagues to discuss business. It was such a relief to find a place with such good food and service and quiet enough for us to hear each other without shouting. The service was so professional that they brought our food and cleared up without disturbing us.

The service was incredibly slow. It took over half an hour to get our coffee, and over an hour after sitting down before we even received our bread basket! The waiter was unapologetic about the delay. My entree of crepes was covered in gloppy, oily cheese and accompanied by limp, shriveled vegetables. I could not believe how much we were paying for this clearly re-heated, extremely delayed meal.

A well-served table near the fireplace in this homey French restaurant is the perfect place to dine on a bitterly cold January evening. The food was excellent and authentic, from French onion soup to venison chops, and it was accompanied by something that is increasingly rare -- a conversation in which you could hear your table-mates speaking in their normal voices, notwithstanding an accomplished live pianist nearby. When the server brought our birthday celebrant a delicious fruit and cream treat with a lit candle -- despite the fact that we had explained we had dessert waiting at home -- I was persuaded to award the fifth star.

This is my local favorite for years when it comes to French food, but I’d been disappointed on previous visit. This time, for a business luncheon, they were back up to top performance. My French onion soup was perfect as could be with lots of grilled cheese on top. Tenderloin of beef slices in a peppercorn mushroom cream sauce was also beautifully prepared and tender. The accompanying French fries were worth the calories. No room for dessert this time. My companions similarly enjoyed their meals.

The service left much to be desired, particularly for the price point. the first thing the waiter said was "what do you want to drink". no hello or welcome. no smile. this continued for the rest of the dinner. we were made to feel like at best that he was bored and at worst that we were inconveniencing him. While some dishes were good - the stuffed salmon. Others like the Caesar salad and sweetbreads were not well executed. It was a very noisy restaurant.

Lovely quiet atmosphere with piano player, attentive service. I often get the calves liver, which I don't make myself, and it was done perfectly a la francaise. A pleasant way to celebrate my birthday.-+

Older crowd here. Everything on the service and food side was great, however there was a rancid oil smell emanating from their oil burning candles that made the experience a little sour, especially for the prices we paid.

We were four friends celebrating the holidays with lunch. We have been to La Ferme before, and have always enjoyed our meals. This time, however, the service was not very good, with long waits to order, receive our food and clean up the plates, order dessert and get the final checks. We were surprised, given that the restaurant was not full. The food, however, was outstanding.

We have been here multiple times and unfortunately this was not as good of an experience as usual. We normally go during the week and this being a Saturday they were very busy and our usual excellent experience was not in the cards for us this time.
We will go back but not on a busy night. Service was mediocre as well as the filets normally both are great . One bad night does not ruin a restaurant. I hope next time will be up to their normal standard.

Occasion was a holiday luncheon for five former high school classmates. We could not have chosen a better venue. The service and wait staff were impeccable....easily available but not hovering. The menu and specials were varied, and each menu item we ordered was prepared perfectly and the food portions appropriate. The holiday décor was a nice added touch, and the quiet efficiency and atmosphere made it easy to converse. In fact, we enjoyed recounting past "special family occasions" that each of us has attended at La Ferme.
