No charge, no valet.
We went there to celebrate our 24 wedding Anniversary, and was so surprise that when we order dessert they brought it in a plate with a candle and Happy Anniversary. everything was delicious from the Salmon, Foi to the dessert, they really put attention to details. Other times I had written a note on Open Table if we are celebrating something but nothing especial had been done, till this time. I love the setting and the place where it is located, ample parking space.
We had reservations for 3 people for a Saturday night. We got there on time but there were a lot of other people waiting too. It was a hot day and it was stuffy in the waiting area. We suspected we would not get seated soon, until they told us we were welcome to sit outside on the patio. Which we accepted. There were several tables available and we chose one by the outside wall. From here on it was a delightful experience. The ceiling fans kept area comfortable and very little noise, unlike the indoor dining area. The food and service was great. We would go again.
Saturday night was loud but piano was deafening and piano player not very talented.
Food generally good but my ravioli dish was lukewarm and not properly put together.
We were impressed during our 1st visit. We typical girls to DC to Georgetown for French food. The fo I'll s and atmosphere was very nice. Our attendant was waiting tables as well as tending bar. She would be gone for long bits of time and then I realized she was mixing drinks. All things considered she did very well with out seeming to get flustered. I would come again..if we were a small group the long gaps in wait staff arrival may be more noticeable.
Overall it was delightful, food fabulous, staff attentive when available. Thanks a fun evening !
Has always been a wonderful place for fine dining for special and non special occasions. Easy to have converstion without raining one's voice even with the background piano music. Always a favorite for decades.
We were delighted. We thought the restaurant would be good but it surpassed expectation. Lovely live music, great food, attentive service and really warm and elegant ambiance. Just perfect.
Food, service and ambiance were excellent. We were celebrating a birthday and an engagement, and it was perfect!
I brought three old friends there who had never heard of your restaurant.
They were all very favorably impressed and will probably return, but perhaps
only for special events. Because two of them live in far off Virginia and the
third does not own a car (nor do I) -- all a bit of a handicap, alas.
They all were pleased with the choice of your lovely restaurant for our quarterly lunch
and we (and I, separately) will definitely return for an encore in the next quarter.
I have dined there at least five times (but always with male friends and thus never
under my own name) and it has become my favorite local restaurant.
Beautiful restaurant with great service and food. My favorite part of my meal were the truffle fries and d’escargots.
Would go back in a heartbeat to ingest the wonderful culinary delights.
This French restaurant is simply lovely. The staff is wonderful - attentive but accommodating if you want to take your time. The food (soft-shell crabs) was absolutely delicious, wonderfully presented and fairly priced. I saw the steak and it looked so fabulous I'll return for that! Lovely ambiance and you can actually have a conversation without screaming, which is a rare thing these days. The piano player added a sense of "special" to the evening. The place is a true gem.
Wonderful food. Excellent wine. Great place for an anniversary dinner.
My last visit here was really disappointing. Even though the restaurant was basically empty, I was escorted to a table immediately next to a wait station with the clinking of silverware, etc.
While I could have endured that, the Dover sole was significantly less than fresh. Dover sole should always be served 100% fresh and this had a fishy taste. Too many other stellar restaurants to visit to return here. It is an OLD favorite, but I guess it is just that....
We came here from Fairfax VA for a going away dinner. The food, service, and location made this dinner both special and memorable.
Wonderful meal... and the soufflé out of this world!!!
We had Château Briand for two and the meet had no taste at all. My shrimp cocktail was good and our dessert was great. The service was great. But the meat just no flavor
Another special evening at La Ferme. We were seated near the pianist who played all our requests for jazz standards. We shared chateaubriand for two and hazelnut soufflé for dessert. Everything was delicious. The plate border spelled out Happy Anniversary in chocolate. It was a lovely evening.
My daughter and I took my husband here for Father's Day. I was surprised at how relatively inexpensive it was compared to other restaurants that gouge on special occasions. We were pleased at the price of the brunch but even more pleased at the quality of food and service, which we had, after all, expected. We were not disappointed. I usually do not get desserts but did this time I did, and my chocolate Grand Marnier cake was divine. My daughter loved her chocolate crepes. The other food was notable, but especially the quality of the smoked salmon we ordered. Le Ferme is definitely at the top of my list of go to restaurants. We'll return soon.
If you want To stay in business don't be loosie goosie with credit cards!
Also on Father's Day get some really professional servers. Some were good. we shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes for everyone to get a glass of wine. Luckily there was a great young man who I asked to help us and he made magic!
Also, Why should we wait like idiots if we come early and the table isn't ready? It's Fathers Day so direct us to the bar! Offer us a drink!!!Duh!!!
We enjoyed La Ferme, the staff was so friendly and courteous. It was was my son's 15th birthday and they sang for him, and the guests joined in. Wonderful experience.
As always, Le Ferme, delivered on all levels: good food, good service, charming and elegant and quiet enough to have good conversation. I’ve come here for years and I’m never disappointed. Thank you!
Wonderful place for dinner. The food, service, and ambience are all outstanding.
Everything about La Ferme was just right--classic French food, excellent service and, wonder of wonders, a sound level that permitted conversation.
I loved everything however we got a hazelnut soufflé instead of the chocolate one we ordered and I was very disappointed. Otherwise would have given it 5 stars also depending on the chocolate soufflé.
The building is quaint and nice. The food and service were just okay. I would not go back. One can get better food, service, and ambiance at other restaurants. The entrees were overpriced in my opinion.
The sodas and coffee were more than the buffet— two should have been included with the buffet and not extra since mimosas and bloody Mary’s were not included
This is good restaurant -we were there for BD
The food, service and ambience are outstanding. We had a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back soon.
The food and service were outstanding -- the ambience very, very poor.
Our table adjoined another table, so close that my wife and I couldn't have a private conversation. Moreover, our table was in front of an alcove in the restaurant with a table for 12. That party arrived while we there and decided to stand next to our table for almost 15 minutes. My wife had to endure looking at men's bottoms for the full time.
Further, I had to inform the maitre d' that there was a nail protruding from my chair that I snagged my hand on.
We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and had indicated this on our Open Table reservation. However, no acknowledgement or recognition was made to us.
My wife and I have come to this restaurant many, many times over the years for family celebrations and private dinners. We now have to reassess our choice.
It was my dates Birthday and we had a very romantic, enjoyable meal with great service
When I arrived i was greeted by the host and led to the table where my colleague was already nursing a drink. After a perfect kir, we moved to the first plate, for me the exquisite lobster bisque, my colleague the caesar salad. We agreed that both were well done. For the main plate, we both tried the pork special. Well prepared accompanied with appropriate sides. Delightful. We shared a bottle of Bordeaux with the meal. We both decided no dessert. The service was impeccable, the ambiance full of the energy of diners enjoying themselves. A good evening!
La Ferme has been a neighborhood treasure for years. Daily specials are wonderful, suberp service and an assortment of fresh soufflé, baked while you dine.
Very noisy. Service seemed a little disorganized, and a little slow. Overall, however, a very good experience
We felt like the waiter only wanted to get us out of there. It was a family get together and we had been seated for only a few minutes when the waiter came over and wanted to take our order. Nobody even had a chance to look at the menu.
Excellent food. Extremely poor service.
This was our second time here. The first time was on Valentine’s Day years ago and I was less than impressed.
This time was the same...I ordered the lobster bisque and they tried to pass shrimp off as lobster...trying to pull a fast one but I can tell the difference. They Kindly removed it from the bill.
The service was slow but kind. We won’t be going back again. If you want awesome France food go to Requin Wharf!!
Overall very pleasant and special experience. There is a pianist who plays throughout the evening and the servers are attentive without being over bearing.
The mussels and french onion soup were great appetizers and the scallops and salmon as entrees were delicious. We also enjoyed a decadent creme brûlée to end the evening. Wine was an added plus!
Authentic French cuisine and French style served at the French pace. Beautiful, simple, classic: lighting, decor, ambience.
Great place for dining out with friends and other associates.
We always love a meal at Le Ferme. The service is lovely - exactly what you expect at a fine restaurant. The price is a little less than you expect at a fine restaurant. And the food is exceptional. Definitely a go to place.
The staff are fabulous. We have loved this restaurant for 18 years.
