La Ferme never disappoints. We had three courses -- all different and everything was delicious. We asked for a quiet table and we were able to have a quiet conversation although the restaurant was fairly full.
I went twice in a week. Our dinner was superb but our lunch entrees were a big disappointment.
Neighborhood gem, relaxed but professional, great value.
I love Le Ferme regardless, even the private feeling of the outdoor eating space. Restaurant week menu definitely limited my choices-- but it was still a meal of things I loved. They did a lovely job. My companions enjoyed the chocolate souffle as always.
I love La Ferme and always recommend it. This time it wasn't quite up to snuff, but still enjoyable. We enjoyed talking to our waiter, newly arrived from France.
This was a birthday dinner . I didn't know it was Restaurant week so there was a prix-fixe menu, three courses for $40. It was a fantastic value. Delicious mushroom soup, tasty smoked trout to start, followed by pork medallions and salmon en croute. The salmon wasn't quite the best, which is why I'm only giving four stars. The pork was really good. Chocolate mousse was so good I wish I could have had two. The apple almond tart came with a candle in a strawberry for the birthday person, accompanied by "Happy Birthday" from the pianist. Many kudos to our waiter who was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was full, with a couple of large groups, so wasn't as quiet as it might otherwise be outside Restaurant week. The ambiance was cozy and attractive. It was our first visit there and I'm sure we'll be back.
It was my first time eating at La Ferme. French Food is one of my favorite cuisine. I was quite disappointed. The Fricassee d'Escargot Provençale was salty. The entrée Mahi Mahi was overcooked. Couldn't even finished the dish. I had better souffle somewhere else. However the service is good but I do care more for the food.
We visit La Ferme once or twice a year for special occasions and has never failed to deliver. If you are looking for ”traditional” romantic atmosphere, this is a great place, especially mid-week when it is not very busy. I’ve always been impressed with their menu and the way they execute it, and their good selection of wines. The staff are friendly and attentive, but not unduly so.
I met 4 other colleagues to discuss business. It was such a relief to find a place with such good food and service and quiet enough for us to hear each other without shouting. The service was so professional that they brought our food and cleared up without disturbing us.
The service was incredibly slow. It took over half an hour to get our coffee, and over an hour after sitting down before we even received our bread basket! The waiter was unapologetic about the delay. My entree of crepes was covered in gloppy, oily cheese and accompanied by limp, shriveled vegetables. I could not believe how much we were paying for this clearly re-heated, extremely delayed meal.
