La Famiglia Ristorante
Lovely night!! Loved our bartender, Katherine! We had a wonderful birhtday celebration! Thank you!!
Outstanding service. Food was excellent. It got louder as the night went on.
Extraordinary dinning experience each and every time”
We love it
Several decades after opening, the restaurant has kept the best of old school fine Italian dining and remained relevant with an updated menu that still pays homage to its roots. If you haven’t been in awhile, go back for a visit.
LaFamiglia should be a synonym for quality and service. Every time I have dined there, each dish has been perfectly prepared and presented. The wine list can not be matched. And the service, puts the dining experience to the highest. If you haven’t been, and are considering going for the first time, listen to me...GO!
Waiter not so good, tried to pull a fast one and gave us a different cheap bottle of wine for the same price as the one we ordered.
Another great Valentine’s dinner at one of Philly’s best.. Thank you again!
Excellent food and phenominal customer service. Definitely going back!!
Very good service and delicious food. Price of food is not cheap but it costs.
Everything was excellent, including the food, service, and atmosphere. My wife and I ate there for Valentine's Day dinner. We both had the arugula salad and the branzino. Both were superb. The service was attentive and fast. This was our first visit, but we plan to return.
1st. time dining at this location. It also came highly recommended. Very relaxed atmosphere and truly a wonderful dining experience. No rush at all from server to order. He let us enjoy our cocktails and then moved on to apps. My wife had the Salmon and I had the Halibut, both excellent choices as noted on the menu. Our party was for 6 people, so the downside is the bar area is limited to seating so my recommendation is order your drinks tableside. I would also recommend to be dropped off to dine. Parking is limited. We will be making it a point to return in the near future
The eggplant dish was simply wonderful!
The Napoleon cake was outstanding.
The veal chop was somewhat different than many I've had, which is not a fault but just an observation. Sections of it were a bit chewy, but overall a well prepared chop.
Service and ambience were excellent.
One of the best old fashioneds I've had. Up to the brim, just the right amount of ice, and, especially, the right balance of sweetness and liquor.
Little prices for wine 30 dollar bottle
It was great! My boyfriend got one of the beef specials, which was veal stuffed with spinach and cheese and it was so delicious. Very good service.
Nice place good ambiance, service dragged out a bit dinner here will take 2 hours min. price was reasonable food was underwhelming. staff incredibly nice all way around. No reason to go back
La Famiglia never disappoints. The food is excellent and the service is THE BEST I’ve ever experienced. Without a doubt our favorite place. They took a Birthday dinner to another level!!
My wife and I went here for restaurant week for our 15th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and the service was great. Waiter was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have a nice meal..
Good meal having not been in 20+ years during restaurant week. Disappointed by little details like having my coffee topped with dessert and being charged for an extra cup at 3.75. On a $150 check, I’m used to nice places letting that go. Seemed cheap.
Have been to La Famiglia many times and have never been disappointed. All servers and manager are extremely nice and the manager is very hands-on. Highly recommend to anyone.
We were seated in the cold and dreary wine cellar. Read many positive reviews but our experience was the complete opposite. Halibut was the driest fish I've ever eaten. Restaurant Week chicken was small, bland and lacking any creativity. Gnocchi appetizer was good.
Service was very friendly and accommodating, food was fabulous! Beautiful place!
We had lunch at La Famiglia on Wednesday, January 23, during Restaurant Week. My three friends and I get together once a month and attempt to try different restaurants in the city each time. We all agreed that La Famiglia rates among the very best. First of all the service was top class. Our waiter and our servers were friendly and attentive. Their menu probably offered the most selections of any Restaurant Week menu of which I've seen. The pastas were delicious-----al dente and not drowning in gravy/sauce. The gravies/sauces on the pastas were sheer perfection and loaded with flavor. My chicken could have been cut with a feather. It was topped with perfectly sautéed spinach, and it was so good. The eggplant was another tasty dish that was thoroughly enjoyed by our group. Our dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful $20 per person meal-----a piece of chocolate cake, a piece of cheesecake, and a piece of banana cake. We all agreed that we spent our money wisely and had a fantastic lunch in a beautiful restaurant.
I went for restaurant week as I do most years. I love their gnocchi, never disappoints, and they are accommodating about making a few changes.
The restaurant has that old world charm and one of the absolute best wine lists.
My only complaint was the amount of time it took to get the check and my coat, I got a parking ticket for being 2 minutes late and that took at least 10.
La Famiglia is Old School Northern Italian. The room is elegant, the service is elegant, and the food is delicious. Don't expect anything faddish - the menu has just classics. The only drawback is that the prices are high, but we went during Restaurant Week and were perfectly happy with the limited menu.
We went to la Famiglia for a special occasion dinner. It was my and my sons birthday. Everything was wonderful. I would recommend this place to everyone
Intimate restaurant, with impeccable service
We had a really good time at La Famiglia during restaurant week! It was the perfect date atmosphere. The food was great, especially how they accommodated dessert for our nut allergy even though the menu was fixed for restaurant week. The service was a tiny bit slow in the beginning, but ended up being perfect!
The waiters at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. I had ordered a cocktail and I didn't like it but he was perceptive that I disliked it and he replaced it with one that I enjoyed. We came for Restaurant Week and it was my best friend's birthday. She was feeling down but it lifted her spirit to be at the restaurant.
Excellent Restaurant Week offerings. We will return.
We ordered from the restaurant week menu. The appetizers were great, especially the gnocchi and the mushrooms. The risotto was very good- a little bland. The beef dinners were outstanding. However, my chicken saltimbocca was not good. They forgot the prosciutto and there was no taste of sage at all, which I love in this dish. The sauce was tasteless. Very disappointed. The saltimbocca was a very very small piece of chicken. People I was with commented on the really small portion I received. At least I had those fantastic gnocchi bc the chicken saltimbocca would not have been enough for dinner. Desserts were a very good sampling, as the menu states, and provided a nice end to our dinner.
My husband and I and another couple went to LaFamilgia for lunch during restaurant week and the food was amazing. We will all definitely go for dinner next time with a few other couples that want to try LaFamigila's awesome food, service and ambiance!
Went for anniversity with friends. Awesome food and service.
What can I say, it's been a long time since I went before and it's just as I remember. "Old School" Italian spot with solid food dishes and good pricing in my opinion. Service is impeccable and location great. Cuisine is not mind blowing but what Italian restaurant is? If your looking for a solid, quiet, enjoyable meal and want to be pampered with your significant other or some friends this is the place.
wine list was extensive and waiter helpful with selection. Food was good but not memorable. We were looking for atmosphere to celebrate new year's eve and our party was seated in a wine cellar away from the crowd and ambiance. Should of told us of we would not be seated in the restauranct when confirming reservation and we would have went to a more lively place.
Family New Years Eve dinner. Love this place. Great food, great service, charming ambiance. Even though there was a mix up with one of our entrees, everything was corrected quickly without issue. Everyone had a great evening.
I started with the burrata and tomato salad (amazing) and then had THE BEST halibut ever, over a bed of polenta. Napoleon for dessert and a cappuccino to finish. It really doesn't matter what you order here, it's going to be great. The same goes for the service.
Great meal, appetizer gnocchi were amazing, veal medallions and verges were delicious. Lemon cake wasn’t that great but the profiterole were. Great overall dining experience but became busy by 730pm...
Celebratory dinner with the family. This is an intimate setting with European-style service and great food. Great wine list. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beware if you go with someone with mobility problems. The restrooms can only be reached by stairs.
