La Dolce Vita believes in bringing this passion for Dolce Vita, translates to mean the sweet life, into every dish that leaves our kitchen. It is our goal to make every customer feel like part of our very own family. We at La Dolce Vita believe in family and invite you and your family in to our Restaurant to experience a variety of fantastic tastes to please every palate.

Homemade Meatball Sliders

Our first time in all the decades we lived in the area. The food was delicious and a beautiful location along the beach side. We were very happy with our experience! We’ll be back for sure!
Great food, great service & the view is pretty nice too !
I absolutely love dolce vita and gave had many great meals there this summer.
My meal Friday night was mediocre and not the usual - hoping it was just an odd night - this is one of my favorite restaurantss and I usually get excellent meals
Nice ocean front dining. They have outdoor as well as in door seating. There have a number of different items on the menus than most Italian restaurants. There is a full bar also. Great location food and service.
We had the mussels and the Fettuccine Dolce Vita. And they were fantastic!
The server was very nice and very attentive. The table was a bit small for a party of 4 and we were practically knocking things over but the food was good..not 5 stars but good but again....lovely servers!
chicken parm was burnt, chicken saltimbocca had no taste.
second time i was disappointed with food......
Very loud . The hostess did not know what she was doing . Had pages and pages of reservation … Crazy… food great …
Food was fantastic - get the shrimp scampi over risotto! John the waiter provided spectacular service throughout the nice.
Always great food. The best at the shore
Large portions. Prefer small portions with better quality
DO NOT GO HERE! Grossly understaffed, extremely long wait for drinks and food. Food was bland and underwhelming. Very loud. Too many far better places to go to along the Jersey shore.
I decided to book La Dolce Vita to celebrate my anniversary as we have been here once before two years ago and enjoyed it. I had made reservations for 6 and was sat right away. The table was pretty small and within 6 inches of two others so there was no privacy, we were all extremely squished. We ordered a few drinks and placed an order for an appetizer which came fairly quick and tasted great. Before our appetizer came out we placed our order for our entrees. While we were enjoying our appetizer another couple sat down next to us. When they placed their order for their appetizer I heard our server tell them that the kitchen was short staff & things are a little behind and offered to get them more bread but never informed us directly or offered more bread to us. We waited and waited, our waters were empty and was never asked if we wanted a refill. The table that sat down 30 minutes after we placed our order got their food before us. We then asked our server how much longer it would be for our dinner to be ready, she went to ask the kitchen and came back and said ten more minutes. This is after we already waited an hour for our pasta dish & steak disk to come out. The couple next to us got pork chops & pasta as well. It just doesn’t make sense as to why it was taking SO long when we ordered way before they did. We ended up getting our order to go as we did not want to wait any longer & the food wasn’t even worth the wait when we got home to eat it. I totally get restaurants are understaffed especially during this time but why pack your restaurant when you can’t accommodate the people who you take in? I do have to say our server was hustling hard, it seemed like she had all the tables in our section and it was huge. She was trying her best, just wish she communicated more when it came to the wait time for food.
A very nice Italian restaurant in a quieter part of Belmar...please be understanding as they are understaffed at the moment!
Food was excellent; the fried calamari was huge and delicious!
Very crowded, food came out really slow. Not the waiters fault!!
Nice option where options are limited. Friendly staff but on a busy day it was chaotic. We waited forever for our food while 4-tops that came in after us were served, ate and left. Make sure you are not in a hurry.
Food excellent nose level high
Anastasia was awesome
Mediocre food, Slow service
Wonderful experience! Will return!
We sat in the enclosed front porch which has a beautiful view of the ocean. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
💖Best meal out in a Loooong time!
Can’t wait to go back!!’
Food was excellent! Service we just ok. Waited too long for food and nobody checked in with us after food was delivered to table. Waited way too long for check!
The waitress was friendly and polite, but she couldn’t do it all herself.
We had a 6:30 reservation and walked right in at 6:30. Service was excellent. Food and drinks were fabulous
Always a pleasurable experience at La Dolce Vita. The food and service are great. One of my favorite places in Belmar.
So delicious. Thiago, our server, was kind and attentive.
Loved the Branzino
I am so sorry to have to say but I have been a customer for many years but the last two times here I have been very disappointed with my meal and service
Great food and service
Been here many times and always return with happiness. The food is really good; my only wish (and I know it's personal) less sauce. Restaurants just glop it on. But that said, good service and good wine list. Also, the food was solidly good--maybe even better than that--and you can't beat the view & the ambiance! I definitely say it's a good spot!
My favorite Italian restaurant on the Jersey Shore!
Good is as outstanding as the staff Nick has.
Bravo to Nicks success.
Excellent food and service. Very attentive. Very noisy. Great place to eat.
Huge portions! Really, share your meal with someone. Delicious classic Jersey Italian food. It’s right across the street from the beach. Lots of folks and tables. Although its not a quiet romantic place, everyone is subdued and it works. Did I mention that the food is delicious. Then again, food just tastes better down the shore.
Wonderful ambiance and location with marginal food.
Simply put this restaurant has become a factory that churns out dishes that are lacklustre and bland. I will be canceling two other reservations I have, and will not be going back.
Very disappointed- went for Father’s Day. My dads steak came out 15 minutes after the rest of our food and came out very rare and under cooked. He then had to wait another 20 mins for it be fixed while we all ate our food. Calamari was very chewy and the food was not as it always is. I have gone here for other holidays like Valentine’s Day. It seems like the kitchen cannot keep up or provide quality on busy holidays. Very disappointing to spend all that money and have that type of experience.
My first impression was not good! We were seated outside under a tent—no big deal but they had a make shift bussing station right behind us and it was gross to look at not to mention the constant clanging of dishes.
The waitress was nice but barely greeted us or even spoke for that matter. She split water on my feet when she was pouring our water. The table was on a slant and was only set for one person. We had to ask for silverware. It was not off to a good start!
We ordered the meatball to start and it was AMAZING!! So I was relieved. I ordered the salmon and it was very good but not light at all. The jalapeño margarita was awesome!! I was here to celebrate my birthday and I noted that on my reservation but it was not much of a celebration in my eyes.
Over all I would def go back. But only if we can get a table inside!!!!
Best restaurant in Belmar! Food is delicious. Service is great!
