La Dolce Vita of Belmar
The story of La Dolce Vita began five decades ago in a small town in the hills of Sicily. It is from here that co-owner Giuseppe Salpietro brings authentic cuisine, traditions and customs, which come from centuries of good living. La Dolce Vita believes in bringing this passion for Dolce Vita, translates to mean the sweet life, into every dish that leaves our kitchen. It is our goal to make every customer feel like part of our very own family. We at La Dolce Vita believe in family and invite you and your family in to our Restaurant to experience a variety of fantastic tastes to please every palate.
Billy's Seafood Risotto
Risotto with gulf shrimp, calamari, scallops, mussels & clams, finished with a touch of fresh tomato and cream
Ditalini pasta and white kidney beans, pancetta prepared our special way
Homemade Meatball Sliders
Three homemade mini-meatball sandwiches, served in a Pomodoro sauce & topped with shredded mozzarella cheese
The view and service were excellent but I thought the food could have been better. The seafood was not great. Tasted like it was frozen before and not fresh. The flavor of the sauce was bland too.
Never had a bad meal in the 6 plus years I’ve been going to la Dolce Vita. Great selections, fish dishes are amazing! Service always excellent. The portions are huge so great value for the money.
Good food and many options to choose from.
Everything was good.
Perfect setting right across the beach with excellent service and the food quality is great.
I go here often. I’m glad to see that they are open and doing well. It’s always a busy and noisy place. But the food is great.
I was there with a friend I haven’t seen in a year so we asked for a table that was very quiet. Very quiet as an interpretation but we appreciated the attempt. We shared a Caesar salad that I love and I had muscles while my friends had pasta with seafood. The portions are huge.
It’s a good bet!
Great outdoor dining with view of ocean. Very attentive wait staff. Great meeting place for friends, Lots of drink options.
Delicious bread, Caesar salad, seafood. A bit cramped and exceedingly noisy. Very good service.
We had a 6:30 reservation for which we arrived at 6:20 and were seated at 6:55. It took 30 minutes for us to get our drinks as we sat and watched them sit on the bar. Ordered a pitcher of Sangria which was half ice and half white wine. No fruit or any other alcohol was in it. The shrimp cocktail was so rubbery and fishy tasting. I had the stuffed salmon which arrived lukewarm and had no flavor. My husband got the filet mignon which was over cooked. Will not be going back!!!
I had the rigatoni bolognese and it was the best I have ever had! So good and a large portion, so I had leftovers for dinner the next day. Highly recommend this place.
amazing food !! Great service and such a cool ambiance.
Lot of side eyes from patrons as well as questionable service from employees, likely due to us being the only blacks people there. Interesting
Was a great evening, ambiance was nice… was a little noisy but tolerable!
Down fall was for my girlfriend was the ladies bathroom was out of service and the men’s was the only in service!
We sat outside since I had to bring my small dog. My 3 guests and myself still rave about it. The food was delicious and the service (George was fabulous) were top notch.
This was our second time visiting from Philadelphia. Can't wait to return.
Protected ocean view. Great staff. Great food. Felt like a vacation - without the summer crowds. Go now. Everybody loves La Dolce Vita.
Good Italian food. I liked the penne vodka. My husband had veal francaise and said it was very tender. Often times you can tell how good an Italian restaurant is by their veal.
Excellent from hostess to waiter to lovely busing person. Food was delicious along with drinks. Will be back
Food and service were great!
Overall experience was great. Our dinners were great, but they came out just a couple minutes after wating a bit for the appetizer. Other than that everything good
Food was beyond delicious. Service Fantastic. Will be going back!
Great location, prices and food quantity and quality
Was lucky to get reservations for 4 24 hr in advance. Love the food and atmosphere and brought friends for their first time. However, when we arrived, we were seated in the adjacent Terrazo restaurant. That was disappointing. The room was hot, the waiter was drenched in his sweat. In the Covid environment this was concerning. Food and value were excellent. Will be cautious to ensure we are in the requested area next time.
very noisy crowded, no social distancing between diners
If going for Italian food, Dolce Vita has many dishes to choose from.
Beef, (meat), fish, seafood.
We liked the tent seating. Our waiter Matteo was excellent. Ahi tuna was superb. The salads were disappointing as they were drenched in sweet dressing. No one needs that much salad dressing and it ruined the greens. I love a good tossed salad but if you do not know how to serve a proper salad, put the dressing on the side please.
The atmosphere was very lively. Our server was very attentive and nice. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.
We went here for our anniversary knowing we would receive great Italian food and service, we were not disappointed!
Diane @ the front desk was exceptionally cheery & helpful!
Always worth the trip to Belmar for this fabulous restaurant. The food is fabulous and the customer service surpasses any establishment on the Jersey Shore.
Our first time at La Dolce Vita and it won't be our last. The Pasta Fagioli was perfect. The wife and I had the Salmon stuffed with crabmeat - also excellent. Busy place - make a reservation.
Worth the trip
We went to you tonight to experience restaurant week. We were told we cannot mix our orders between restaurant week and the regular menu and the whole table had to order from the same menu because they were coming from separate kitchens. I ordered the borata and cold meat tray. The borata was sour. They took it back and brought me a new one. I also ordered the pork Oso Buco. When that arrived the pork was literally frozen in the middle. Everyone else’s meal was wonderful but the frozen meat was not only inedible but disappointing to know their meals are frozen not fresh! The manager did offer to heat it up for me. Extremely disappointed
Always excellent food and great service.
La Dolce Vita is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions. It was nice to get out after going through the problems of the past year. We opted for lunch there for our 51sr wedding anniversary.
It was slightly noisier than normal as it was a nice day and Belmar was quite busy. Maybe the only complaint was we thought the tables were to close together.
Wonderful service. Food quality very good. Cocktails very good. Price slightly high.
Went for happy hour and sat in the bar. Our server was excellent, even while tending a very busy bar. The little appetizers available at happy hour were uniformly tasty and only $5 each. We had a great time!
Very good and great service
Great venue for a very special occasion. Perfect considering the current restrictions!
Very nice. Food and service was excellent. Music was a tad too loud.
It was our anniversary and it was a wonderful choice. We enjoyed the food and the service and the view.
