La Dolce Vita of Belmar
The story of La Dolce Vita began five decades ago in a small town in the hills of Sicily. It is from here that co-owner Giuseppe Salpietro brings authentic cuisine, traditions and customs, which come from centuries of good living. La Dolce Vita believes in bringing this passion for Dolce Vita, translates to mean the sweet life, into every dish that leaves our kitchen. It is our goal to make every customer feel like part of our very own family. We at La Dolce Vita believe in family and invite you and your family in to our Restaurant to experience a variety of fantastic tastes to please every palate.
Ditalini pasta and white kidney beans, pancetta prepared our special way
Grilled salmon over fennel, mushrooms, baby greens salad, and shaved Parmigiano cheese, drizzled with a raspberry vinaigrette
Penne alla Vodka
Penne in delicate pink vodka sauce, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and cream
Absolutely perfect! Service was impeccable; portion size was large and taste was delicious.
One of our favorite places! Great food, and service!
Everything was fabulous as usual. My only issue was that I wanted to purchase the $100, gift card and get the $50 bonus, however when I approached the table a sign was posted that $100 gift card came with a $20 bonus. So I passed.
I went to this place with a good friend whom really needed a evening out. I thought from everything I heard this would be a great spot. We had been sitting at a 4 top table by the window, which was very nice out server too was sweet. We had our order in our drinks and bread on the table. We decided to go out front, I spoke to the bus boy next to the water table and the older blonde waitress...pointing at our table and explaining we will be right back. Mind you our full drinks, bread set up and phone were all on the table, we spoke to two employees...we were right out front for no more than 2 minutes and they gave our table to 4 girls. I went back in as they sat them to ask what are you doing??? My server came out confused holding my burata appetizer. The hostess told me to wait at the bar, I don't drink... She refused to move the girls and never even apologized.
I have a small business, I would never treat a client the way I was treated by the hostess. I also, worked in restaurants most of my college years. I would have apologized to the girls sitting down, ushered them to the bar and bought them a round. Done, problem solved! At the very least, I would have apologized.
It was a horrible experience and sadly, I've only heard great things about the food...but, unable to experience because the hostess gave my table away and had no problem solving skills.
A local favorite. Nice variety on the menu. Serving staff is very attentive.
The food was excellent and our waiter was personable and attentive to our requests.
Went for Jersey Shore Restaurant Week!
Food, service and value were great!
I had the spicy rigatoni, it was very good!
We love the atmosphere it was very cozy and it was beautiful being on the beach. The food was amazing our server was great we will definitely be back there!
Great view from patio. Intimate. Good food.
This just may be my new favorite local Italian restaurant. Outstanding menu and the cocktails are on point. Chicken Parm was delicious.
Great job by staff. Found me a lobster tail
Everything was great. Although we were seated very close by to an extremely loud group of eleven. Made it next to impossible to speak to my husband across the table.
I found the spinach that was served with the bronzino had too much garlic.
I had to remind the server that our drinks had not yet arrived.
The ingredients didn’t taste fresh. What a huge difference from summer visits there. My pasta tasted like chlorinated water. The antipasto we ordered tasted old and dull.
Greta birthday dinner celebration for my husband and me. The food was above par,as expected... Drinks were flowing... The night ended with a spectacular dessert highlighting his birthday, which he thoroughly enjoyed...
All staff courteous and helpful. Dining with a great ocean view.
The food and service was outstanding. Wine list is somewhat limited for whites and rose. The kitchen was very accommodating. It was a bit loud in the room that we were in - May need sound baffling on ceiling.
My shrimp and risotto was bland and service was slow
Good atmosphere with friends.
As usual, everything was delicious, and the service was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
From the greeting of the lovely hostess, the seating with a view of the ocean, our wonderful waiter, the martinis, and of course the food was all fabulous! I couldn’t be happier with a dining experience!
I am sad to say after years of positive experiences at your restaurant with great food , we had a very sub par dining experience. We did not know you had bought the next door restaurant as we had asked to be on your enclosed porch. We were sat on the porch in the new restaurant within the new bar area which is very loud. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and though the wait staff was great the food, the noise level, the atmosphere were not up to our previous experiences. Sad to say you went from one of my favorite restaurants to low on the list.
It was very good, except we sat in the front and it was very noisy in the room where we were.
Wonderful food, lovely staff
Consistently good! Quieter this time. 😃
Always good. Best chicken parmigiana.
Food was average at best. Maybe a different cook , 8 months prior we went their and the food was good.
The risotto was out of this world on the chilean sea bass with encrusted pistachios. A bit noisy for my taste but overall a great experience celebrating my wife's birthday.
Seated at an umbrella table looking at the belmar Beach and boardwalk on a very pleasant day. Perfect
Authentic with a modern vibe. Penne vodka was good.
Good food but way too loud to have ANY conversation when they STUPIDLY put a huge party (25) in with tables of 2 and 4.
Spoiled entire experience. 👎🏻
We sat in the smaller room. Service wasn’t great. I asked for red sangria , they gave me white, my husband wanted a specific white wine , they ran out and he wanted a specific beer, they ran out. I had the shrimp scampi over risotto , not much flavor and risotto was undercooked. My husband had pistachio encrusted Chilean Seabass over risotto , he said it was ok but I enjoyed it. Prices weren’t bad and nice size portions.
Food was very good, stuffed salmon was cooked perfectly as was filet mignon and the pork chop.
A fine enough restaurant on Ocean Avenue in Belmar.
It was a busy night and we were seated on the veranda, with its loud ambient noise level - not unexpected given the number of diners. We began with aperitif handcrafted cocktails, which were hit or miss in our group, mostly the latter. Appetizers were unremarkable as were our dinners, but on the whole, both were enjoyable and well prepared. The wait staff was attentive, though hurried, no surprise in these times. The real mar to the evening was the constant presence of fruit flies that plagued our table, not quite a swarm, but bothersome and off-putting all the same.
A beautiful fall day by the ocean with best friends and great food doesn't get any better...except if lunch brings you back to experience dinner. Can't wait to return!!!
We took a friend from Kansas City for lunch. She loved the view of the Ocean from our table. The food was fantastic along with the service. We loved the Salmon, Ravioli with meatballs & Penne Vodka.
Definitely will come again!
We four long time friends and colleagues are retired! We get together monthly for lunch to catch up on news of families and life in general. Louis, our server, was wonderful - attentive without being intrusive. We had a table inside the sunroom with the window opened for COVID-19 safety. Our meals were delivered promptly and were delicious! It was my 2nd time there this month! 😊
Restaurant was very busy & energetic! Food was very good & came in a timely manner.
Service was good
Fun place to go
The menu was different and obviously put together by a creative chef.
