La Dolce Vita of Belmar
The story of La Dolce Vita began five decades ago in a small town in the hills of Sicily. It is from here that co-owner Giuseppe Salpietro brings authentic cuisine, traditions and customs, which come from centuries of good living. La Dolce Vita believes in bringing this passion for Dolce Vita, translates to mean the sweet life, into every dish that leaves our kitchen. It is our goal to make every customer feel like part of our very own family. We at La Dolce Vita believe in family and invite you and your family in to our Restaurant to experience a variety of fantastic tastes to please every palate.
Disappointed in Caprese salad as tomatoes had no taste and mozzarella didn’t seem like it was made that day.
As always, the service and the food was very good (though the salad with shrimp should have had more than 3 shrimp. The salad with chicken had quite a few pieces of chicken) . The prices could also be a bit lower.
Always enjoyable! I felt there was an improvement in the food. Great space.
Food and service were excellent. So many choices on the menu. If you haven't been there, I recommend that you try and have dinner there. Be sure to make a reservation in advance since it gets crowded during dinner.
Extremely loud, tables were very close together so waiters had a difficult time getting by to deliver food, food took a long time to be delivered to table
Every meal was outstanding. Prompt and courteous servers.
We tried La Dolce Vita’s offseason early dining menu. Two at our table had salads and two had the salad caprese (tomatoes and mozzarella) that was very good. There were that had the chute entrees and two had fish oreganata. Portions were good for an early menu and were delicious. The two that had the chicken would have preferred the pasta on the side dressed with tomato sauce. Here the chicken was placed on top with its accompanying sauce. Dessert for our table was a cannoli and the ice cream cake from Nastos in Newark, again delicious.
Outstanding food and service. We had a great time.
We went on a Sunday which coincided with the same day of the Belmar Restaurant Tour. Although we were there less than two hours after that event concluded, you never would have known that the restaurant was a participant. Every was, as always, top notch. There were 5 of us-some ordered from the regular menu and others had the daily specials. The early bird menu is an excellent value, with great selections although we didn't order from that on Sunday. Service was friendly and timely. Anastasia was our server. Food was excellent with generous portions. Definitely a go to place for us!!
It was very crowded so therefore the noise level was crazy. We sat in the front room in the corner and it was a little chilly by the windows. If I were to go back in the winter, I would try the inside room to see if it was better.
One of our local favorites. Beautiful setting across from the beach. Delicious food and a good range of options (price ranges included). Delightful owner. The noise level can get a little high, particularly at the height of the season, but that's more reason to go year round. It truly is one of the best restaurant experiences in the area and it's a plus that you can reserve it on OpenTable.
Gallina was outstanding as usual. Great food excellent service.
Our favorite spot to go for an overall terrific dining experience! Galina, our waitress, always provides exceptional, friendly and warm service.
As always La Dolce Vita’s dinners give diners a sweet life! From start (antipasto for 2- fresh and plentiful) to finish( chocolate mousse cake -Devine and espressos ( hot and generous) to in between ( shrimp scampi-with Parmesan risotto and rack of lamb perfectly cooked as ordered and succulent), A lovely way to celebrate my husband’s birthday! PS great attentive service and excellent wine list. Plus a gift coupon ! 👏
The meal and service was outstanding. We enjoyed ourselves.
Never disappointed when we have dinner at La Dolce Vita. We sat on the patio for the first time, loved it!
Celebrating my wife’s birthday. Everything was great.
Always a great meal at La Dolce Vita! It is our favorite restaurant down the shore.
Too expensive for the quality
Really enjoyed the meal!
Everything was superb. My wife and I were there for my birthday. It is one of our favorite restaurants of the many exceptional down here on the shore.
The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server was extremely attentive.
One of my favorite restaurants at the Jersey Shore. Always a great meal. My husband and I got the stuffed meatball appetizer, which was to die for as usual. I had the chicken francese, which is amazing and comes with ridiculously good risotto. My husband got eggplant rollatini as his dinner with a side of penne vodka. Their eggplant rollatini is my absolute favorite. I had my bridal shower there, and everyone still raves about the eggplant. The service is always great. Beautiful view. Can't say enough good things.
What an overall great experience! From the moment we stepped in to our goodbyes, it was truly a wonderful night. Thank you to the staff who did an amazing job of tending to our every need. The food is superb.
The food was good but the noise level was so excessive as to be a distraction. The tables are so close together, making the background noise so significant that you would be hard pressed to hear your table mates. There are very few choices for lower calorie entries.
Waiter was not very attentive, and we waited a long time for our dinners to be served.
A packed restaurant always is an indication of good food, service and a warm greeting upon arrival.
LaDolce Vita epitomizes all of this.
The food is consistently delicious. Love the meatball appetizer!
As usual, the food was great and the service was too. Always a consistent experience at La Dolce Vita.
We went on a Saturday evening with a reservation and sat right away. The service was wonderful. The food was incredible. The price was reasonable. I look forward to going back!
From start to finish, great dining experience. Front staff was very welcoming. Food was fantastic as was the waiter. If you go, request Paul to be your server. He was on point and very attractive. Nice touch, was the after diner cordial, Lemoncello.
Seated promptly on a busy Saturday night. Food is outstanding. NY Strip steak prepared as ordered. Veal, was very good, Halibut over risotto & mushroom was huge portion. Only item I can complain about is when this place gets rocking the noise level can be a bit much. But the food and portion size override this issue.
Saturday night dinner in a packed restaurant with a nice crowd. Why is it packed, great food, linen table cloths and nice atmosphere.
Great food and atmosphere
It’s always a delicious meal! As you enter the restaurants you can tell you’re going to have a wonderful, delectable dinner by the aroma of good Italian sauce cooking in the kitchen. If a restaurant has a sauce, the foods going to be the best! It’s consistently great!
Saturday night is a mob scene. Standing room only, in the foyers, in the restaurant, at the bar, no place to move, no host/hostess to meet and greet. Fire marshal should have closed down the place. I couldn't confirm my reservation (what a joke, it would have been an hour wait for a table for 2) and took ten minutes to waive my way back through the crowd and out the door. if I have a child, I'll name it after the experience. CRUSHED.
Always my favorite when working out of NJ.
Dinner and service excellent . Had reservations but still had to wait 20+minutes. That was our only complaint.
Service, atmosphere, and menu selection were all great.
Some of the best calamari we ever had. The salmon was really good, as well as the penne vodka. Really good bread too.
For dessert we had the chocolate cake which was very tasty.
It was a little noisy due to the large party next to us, and prices are a bit higher than average, but I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.
excellent food, quality, service. one of my favorite restaurants and the best at the Jersey Shore in Monmouth Co.
