La Dolce Vita - Downtown Ratings and Reviews
We're so happy to find that they have OpenTable in Mexico. Booked this hotel when still in the US and made this our first dinner of our trip. Have been many times to Cancun but never ventured downtown; glad we did! Took a cab but will take a bus next time since it takes you straight there from the hotel zone. The four of us were very happy with everything. There is plenty of choice and they had great specials. The highlight for us was how they made the Crepe Suzette. Our waiter made it right at our table with very much passion and love; something you just do not see in the States. And after desert they came with a cart full of after-dinner drinks and offered them at no charge. These 2 things made me give the restaurant 5 stars (the food was very good but not quite 5 star quality).
We eat at La Dolci Vita about once every two weeks and always enjoy the food and attentive service. We think it is one of the best restaurants in the Cancun area. It is very easy to get to the restaurant if you are in the hotel zone. Simply catch any R-1 or R-2 bus heading into town and get off at the first stop past Bonampak. La Dolce Vita will be right there.
Read reviews that suggested this restaurant and we're so glad we tried it out. We are here two nights ago and loved every minute of it. Nice wine list with decent offerings and prices. Dinner was delicious (Lasagna and chicken parmesan). Shared a salad (the house special), yum! Creme brulee for dessert topped it off. Overall it was a night to remember and I heartily recommend this fine dining establishment.
We have visited while on vacation to Cancun. The meal was wonderful. We had pasta dishes and the Red snapper special which all were very good. The service was very attentive. Worth the trip into Cancun from hotel zone. We will return on our next visit to Cancun.
Another superb restaurant in Cancun. I am amazed at the high quality restaurants that are in this city. I think this may be the finest of the Italian restaurants which is saying a lot because there are some other really good Italian restaurants such as Cinacola and Limoncella. But this one was heads above both of these. The food was delicious, tasty and fresh and the wait staff were attentive. They even walked us across the street to catch the bus back to our hotel. If you are looking for great Italian food then look no further. This is #1.
Once again enjoyed our dinner at La Dolce Vita downtown Cancun. Very good service. Two of us had the Salmon, which was delicious, one had the Boquinete Dolce Vita which was Caribbean snapper stuffed with shrimp baked in a puff pastry and one had the Fettuccine Alfredo and two had the fresh fish fillet. Everyone enjoyed their selections. We have been coming to Cancun for 30 years and we always make sure to visit La Dolce Vita.
Everything was perfect. The service was great and so was the food. The owner came to our table to greet us and tell us the specials, and it was awesome to see the owner of a restaurant care so much and take part in FOH operations. We were greeted with a free piece of bruschetta each, and were surprised at the end of our meal with a free after dinner drink. Absolutely loved it- would definitely return!
