   Food was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious: calamari, Cesar salad, lobster ravioli, seafood linguine, risotto, cheesecake, and lemon sorbet. All recommended. They managed my dairy allergy very well. Our waiter was fun and incredibly on top of everything. We will definitely be back.

   This is not my first time at La Dolca Vita. There has been a gap in time because of the pandemic. Everything is exactly as I remember it. The dinners were outstanding. I had the lasagna and I have never any better including meals in Italy. They anticipated our every need and offered excellent suggestions.

   First time dining at La Dolce Vita. Absolutely recommend it. We will be back! Food was amazing… Caesar salad, calamari app, bread, main dishes, desserts, cocktails for our table of 5 were all delicious. Service efficient & friendly. Ambiance comfortable & we loved the live piano music.

   This was my second time dining at La Dolce Vita, but first time indoors. My family and I were seated at a cozy booth in the bar area which was not crowded and quite pleasant. I appreciated the effort to keep diners spaced out and other precautions that made us feel safe and comfortable dining indoors. Our waiter, Michael was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. I enjoyed a grilled artichoke with pesto appetizer, and the scampi entree which were both delicious! My brother was very happy with his favorite entree, the lasagna. This restaurant has become one of our favorites when we are in town!

   Authentic Italian food, absolutely delicious! And the service is second to none! Our waiter was fabulous and fun. This place is a hidden gem for sure, the rest of my party had never eaten there, and are definitely planning on a return visit with their spouses.

    Still the best Italian restaurant in Detroit. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. Nice ambiance in the back room, first time we have been seated there. Be prepared for a big valet charge.

    This was a birthday dinner before heading to the theater. We had a great table next to the piano. Our server was knowledgeable and had great recommendations! The food was amazing!! Best tiramisu ever!!

    Food was good. It was chilly in the restaurant, we were seated near the door facing Woodward. We could see the curtain waving with the breeze coming in thru the door. Also, would have liked the option to sit at another open table in a better location, but were only offered table for 2.

    The waitress we had was terrible. I’ve experienced better service at fast food restaurants. They also didn’t make my Italian French toast correctly and because they automatically apply gratuity, the waitress made no effort to rectify the situation at all. Out of our whole trip this was by far our biggest let down in the city of Detroit.

    The service was overall Excellent and the food was delicious. I booked online so I was glad to see the service was honored in a timely manner. The outside walk way was the best place to take pictures. The valet attendant was professional and welcoming. The inside needs to be updated as it appears old and needs a little touch of fashion to its ambiance. Definitely a nice and safe place to enjoy yourself for brunch or dinner.

    The parking fee was a surprise. It is $7 for the valet or $12 if you want to park your own car in the lot that is attached to the restaurant. We went to the restaurant for an anniversary celebration. I don’t think it is a good special occasion place. The food was all right but the staff is rude.

    Service was awful. Waitress was rude and rushed us through dinner. When I received the bill, I was charged for several items I didn’t order. When I explained the issue to my waitress, we were treated as if it was our fault. Won’t be back…

    Atmosphere was very nice. Staff was great at courteous and explained the menu offerings. While we were there the tables filled up so our server had more to do. After giving us our entrees he did not come back to check if everything was alright. My pasta was just lukewarm.

    I guess the adage: "Caveat Emptor" applies here, but in a place where most of the (outstanding) menu items come in priced in the $22 - $28 price range, I was surprised that the waiter didn't warn us that the veal chop entre was going to cost us (wait for it) $64!? Like I said, fool me once... $64 for a glorified pork chop. Didn't see that one coming!!

    I was looking forward to this venue for a birthday brunch. The English muffin was so hard I couldn’t cut through it(Eggs Benedict) so I ate everything but the muffin. I couldn’t get hot coffee and when I finally got it, it tasted like they forgot to rinse the soap out of the glass. It was not drinkable. I had a second reservation scheduled and canceled it. Not a good experience.

    What a lovely spot! I had the ravioli aragosta and some of the carciofi. We also had some tiramisu, the regular and the amaretto. Everything was delicious! Definitely looking forward to going back again, and maybe trying brunch next time. Highly recommend!
