Over rated, over priced for what you get. Waiters were very rushed and running around. Food was decent nothing to go back for. Tiramisu was very good. Thought it was odd they didn’t have a drink or beer menu. Overall all not terrible but definitely not great.
Buen detalle q el dueño salga a ver si los comensales estan bien!
He service is absolute trash, especially if they think you won’t tip. They left us in a corner and we saw the waiter twice.
Warm, friendly find in Cleveland's Little Italy. The décor is a mix of Bohemian and kitsch. We were greeted by the owner who served us an amuse-bouche of simple farfalle cacio e pepe, which was delicious. Generous portions, authentic Italian dishes and personal service. The bill when it arrived was a bit pricier than we'd anticipated, given the casual décor, but overall worth it for a special meal.
Scallops were amazing .
My wife and I went to La Dolce Vita for Valentines day and it was lovely. The food was delicious. Everything was decorated with red and white for Valentines day, but the normal blue and green lights were still turned on, so it made for an odd lighting mix. The services was a bit slow, but this may have been due to the Valentine's day crowd. They have daily food specials and a good sized wine list. I will likely return to this restaurant.
Opera Night never disappoints! All three singers were amazing!
Our five course meal was fantastic, with LaDolce Vita's take on Chicken Marsala being one of the best that I've ever had! Highly recommended!
We were visiting Cleveland for the first time and decided on La Dolce Vita based upon reviews. We generally try to find a good authentic italian restaurant in each city we visit. We really enjoyed the ambiance and neighborhood feel of this restaurant in the Little Italy district of Cleveland. The service was good and the ambiance felt authentic. The owner was very kind and spoke to us many times. He seemed to sincerely care that we had a good meal and a good time. The pasta was very good and cooked perfectly. The pizza was unique and a hit with our son. We took the recommendation for the house Marinara sauce and we were not disappointed. We will definitely return to this wonderful establishment on our next visit to Cleveland.
Server was very attentive and helpful. Owner stopped by several times. Dinner specials were excellent.
food was excellent but server was curt and abrupt. he seemed to be irritated by us for no reason.
Osobucco special was incredible delicious . Thanks
Wanted to eat in Little Italy, but didn't know where to go. Took a chance on this place and we were very pleased. It was a quaint atmosphere and the service and food were excellent!
The food was delicious! The only thing was the vodka sauce tasted a little funky so I switched to marinara.
Wonderful food and ambiance and people. Beautiful evening.
Cute place. They show old B/W movies on one wall. Flavorful and delicious authentic Italian food.
The food was excellent; atmosphere charming. Owner is a delight. This is a gem of a restaurant for so many reasons.
My only comment is I wouldn't recommend having the bartender also your do tables, as our service was very, very slow. The girl that stepped in for him was very sweet, but managing a big round table next to us. We were there two other times when the owner was present and had a delicious dinner and perfect service.
Attended La Dolce Vita’s opera night and could not have had a better time. Wonderful evening, fantastic food, amazing music, great service.
La Dolce Vita is a wonderful dining experience in the heart of Little Italy. Dinner was superb with the freshest of ingredients. Thank you so much Terry for a delightful evening.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration dinner for six, including a surprise dessert with a candle (we did not specifically request one, but the wait staff overhead that we were celebrating a birthday and brought one). The food and ambiance were exactly what we were looking for, and we will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service .
Relaxed atmosphere with great food and service! What more is there to say!!
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here 20 years ago. Took my wife recently for her birthday. We had an incredible lunch. Everything was perfect!!!
Our third time here and fabulous as always. The food never misses, and this time the owner came around and gave us a sample of a dish that wasn't on the menu - delicious! Officially declaring it my favorite spot in Cleveland's Little Italy.
Terrific experience . Extraordinary Food . Thanks
The food was amazing . Thanks
My kids and I loved the New Years Eve dinner. Food and service excellent.
Had dinner with 5 couples...awesome table, cool vibe, excellent service, great wine selection and everything we ordered was simply delicious. Owner even walked around offering some pasta samples! Highly recommended gem in Little Italy.
Had a fantastic dinner. Started with the meatball appetizer. Just enough spice without being overpowering. Chicken Parm was good, but the star of the night was the short ribs. Fantastic flavor and very tender. Best part of the night was when the owner came out twice for us to taste different pasta’s he was working on. Such a personal touch. We ended up inviting him to sit our table for a bit to chat. Really reminded me of the good ole days when people would really talk to each other.
We got off to a bad start because we were squeezed into a tiny table for 4, even though our reservation was for 5. One person in our party had to stand up and move 3 different times to allow movements of tables and other people. Another of our party was smashed against the wall and couldn't move. The food was just ok. After I saw the reviews, I expected a fine dinner. I ordered the eggplant and it was bland. The waitress talked me into a side of pasta with it which also was rather bland and added $10 to the price. The marinara was not very flavorful. My daughter ordered the veal dish which she said was very good. We asked for more bread but never got it. On a positive note, the decor is eclectic and had some pretty lights for Christmas. The tables had linen table cloths and our water glasses were kept full. The manager came around with a cream pasta which he served to everyone. It was actually the best thing that I had. Overall our experience was disappointing for the price that we paid.
One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in years!! I am half Italian and grew up with a grandmother who cooked the best Italian food on the planet, so I am extremely picky about Italian food and actually rarely go out to eat at an Italian restaurant. La Dolce Vita stands out! I ordered a chicken dish that came with pasta. While the chicken was nothing special, the pasta was heavenly! Next time I will certainly be ordering a pasta dish! The service was outstanding. They even served up a complimentary taste of one of their pasta dishes (Cacio e pepe), a dish I may just order next time it was so good! And when we had finished our meal they brought out a plate of fresh fruit and cream, again complementary. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place to a friend and I certainly plan to get back there myself! Prices aren't the cheapest in town but well worth it for a delicious dining experience.
