One of us ordered salad. It came out as ordered. The other ordered soup. It never arrived at the table. Server forgot! After dinner we ordered coffee. We were told the coffee machine was broken. Really!! What kind of restaurant doesn't have coffee? I won't go back.
Great food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back again soon.
Came to La Dolce Vita for a business dinner, Loved it! Great food, great service! The owner took great care of us and made the visit special!
We always have a good experience at la Dolce Vita, and this was another delicious meal with excellent service.
La Dolce Vita is my definite go-to for authentic Italian food and a true bistro atmosphere. Terry and his staff will do anything and everything to make your dining experience the best!!
It was a truly outstanding experience. The food and atmosphere were great. I recommend this restaurant!!
We have been to La Dolce Vita before but probably not for at least 4 years. We enjoyed the very good service, but the waitress was perhaps a little too pushy on the expensive wine. One of our friends was looking forward to lasagna....but none on the menu. My chicken marsala was okay, but the chicken was dry and a little tough. We had remembered very much enjoying the variety on the menu before...either our tastes have changed, or the menu has been shortened. Yes, we would try going again, it's Little Italy after all, but will be hoping for better chicken and a better menu.
Food was very good. My wife likes pasta that is why we went, but I typically hate pasta. This is one of the only times I can remember enjoying eating pasta.
Can't wait to go back! The food was amazing. The service was also very good.
This was our first visit to La Dolce Vita and we enjoyed it very much. I had one of the evening specials - Saltimbocca with risotto. It was truly wonderful. The wine choices were superb and the bread was delicious. The restaurant filled up right after we arrived so it seems very popular.
Eveything was excellent, food, service, ambiance and great wine! We will be back soon.
Very disappointing lunch at what used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Little Italy. They must have changed chefs because the Veal Pavarotti and Veal Verona that we had were different than before. Service was 'meh' and we were the only patrons at 12noon on a Saturday.
We will not be returning
Food was fantastic. Best to get there by 6:00 on weekends because it is hopping busy by 7:00. Owner greets each customer and thanks them for visiting.
An intimate but comfortable atmosphere. Family chef at your table and very accommodating staff; but service could have been more timely. Would have led to more revenue opportunities.
Great family meal. Very warm & welcoming.
Outstanding as always. Right down to the owners visit to the table to let us his latest delicacies !!
Fabulous experience and delicious food! We attended for my mothers birthday and the restaurant was very accommodating and generous!
Total experience was great. Seated quickly, service at the right speed. Food was excellent. Owner stopped by and offered a pasta tasting. Highly recommend.
The atmosphere and food were phenomenal. Exactly what I expect from an authentic dining experience, to the owner giving a taste sample of pasta upon arrival, suggestions on wine were terrific, and the food and portions were superb.
Veal saltimbocca was phenomenal
Great little spot in middle of Little Italy! Come when it’s warm and sit outside on the sidewalk. The inside is charming as well. Either way, the owner Terry will probably come by to say hi and fill your plate with whatever pasta dish he felt like whipping up in the kitchen that day.
Service was excellent. Wine list could get better for Little Italy but that's small potatoes. Food was great and very tasteful, sauce was really good.
We love Dolce Vita!!
Fantastic meal as always, sat by the front window. The second room is a little quieter than first. Great veal dishes we will be back.
Very good food, nice location. Server wasn't especially friendly.
Owner was cordial and very nice. Free sample and free plate of fruit was a nice touch.
We love La Dolce Vita. It is a small, authentic Italian restaurant. The wine list is extensive, and the bread comes piping hot. The menu had many vegetarian and meat options. I am partial to the gnocchi in Fellini sauce. The eggplant parmigiana is exceptional too. The owner always brings out a little tasting of a special pasta too. Our service was great, and we sat at a window table to people watch. At the end of the meal, you get fresh fruit to cleanse your palate.
Not the best decor on the inside, but had great service, phenomenal food. I got Chicken parmesan over ravioli (waiter ordered it special for me) and was incredible. My dad got spaghetti and meatballs and my mom got vegetable pasta and everyone loved their meals. The owner came around and had us test a type of pasta which was great and then at the end thanked us for coming and was very friendly.
Just a wonderful experience. Portions were huge, fresh and home made, all the way through dessert. Owner came out with a bowl of "something" for us all to try and it was amazing. Even as we were ordering dessert, our water came out with fresh fruit and cream on the house that was a hit. We left full with lunch the next day(leftovers) and will be back! Just fantastic!
Excellent service and wonderful food . Seafood Cioppino was delicious .
Over rated, over priced for what you get. Waiters were very rushed and running around. Food was decent nothing to go back for. Tiramisu was very good. Thought it was odd they didn’t have a drink or beer menu. Overall all not terrible but definitely not great.
Buen detalle q el dueño salga a ver si los comensales estan bien!
He service is absolute trash, especially if they think you won’t tip. They left us in a corner and we saw the waiter twice.
LaDolce Vita is one of my husband’s and my top 5 dining picks in NE Ohio and it has been for many many years. There is something about the loudness of the room that creates such an intimate European dining experience as well as an inviting ambiance. Terry the owner is unlike any other restaurant owner that we know. If you haven’t met him and he is present at the restaurant on a day you are visiting, just look for the gentlemen that is sitting with the customers, cooking and serving your meal or greeting you at the door. Terry welcomes you as if you are dining in his own home — rare to see these days. Fabulous food, drink selection and overall ambiance! A must dining experience for all ...😊✨
Warm, friendly find in Cleveland's Little Italy. The décor is a mix of Bohemian and kitsch. We were greeted by the owner who served us an amuse-bouche of simple farfalle cacio e pepe, which was delicious. Generous portions, authentic Italian dishes and personal service. The bill when it arrived was a bit pricier than we'd anticipated, given the casual décor, but overall worth it for a special meal.
Scallops were amazing .
My wife and I went to La Dolce Vita for Valentines day and it was lovely. The food was delicious. Everything was decorated with red and white for Valentines day, but the normal blue and green lights were still turned on, so it made for an odd lighting mix. The services was a bit slow, but this may have been due to the Valentine's day crowd. They have daily food specials and a good sized wine list. I will likely return to this restaurant.
Opera Night never disappoints! All three singers were amazing!
Our five course meal was fantastic, with LaDolce Vita's take on Chicken Marsala being one of the best that I've ever had! Highly recommended!
We were visiting Cleveland for the first time and decided on La Dolce Vita based upon reviews. We generally try to find a good authentic italian restaurant in each city we visit. We really enjoyed the ambiance and neighborhood feel of this restaurant in the Little Italy district of Cleveland. The service was good and the ambiance felt authentic. The owner was very kind and spoke to us many times. He seemed to sincerely care that we had a good meal and a good time. The pasta was very good and cooked perfectly. The pizza was unique and a hit with our son. We took the recommendation for the house Marinara sauce and we were not disappointed. We will definitely return to this wonderful establishment on our next visit to Cleveland.
Server was very attentive and helpful. Owner stopped by several times. Dinner specials were excellent.
