About La Dolce Vita
La Dolce Vita opened its' doors in Beverly Hills in 1966. The biggest celebrities in the world lived only moments away, and La Dolce Vita literally became their second home for decades to come. Regulars included the Sinatras, the Reagans, the Pecks, the Douglases, and the Bloomingdales. It hosted every sitting US President since the Kennedy administration, and was known as a haven for titans of industry and finance. Deals were made with a handshake, and everyone was certain to arrive on Thursdays for Osso Bucco. Now, La Dolce Vita moves to the future, following a seven month 'facelift,' during which the restaurant was restored to its' original pristine condition, reprieving the original menu, recipes, and decor. La Dolce Vita arrives once again as a popular dining and entertainment destination, now home to young Hollywood and those seeking the traditional cuisine of Italy.

La Dolce Vita Ratings and Reviews
La Dolce Vita is our favorite restaurant. My wife and I got engaged there 30 years ago and we have been coming every year, multiple times per year, ever since. We have the staff, we love the food and we love being pampered. A fantastic place to begin your own memories!!
We make a point to visit La Dolce Vita whenever we're in Los Angeles, and we always have a wonderful evening. Once again, the cocktails, appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts were all exceptional. Our waiter, Jose', made us feel at home and served each course at just the right moment. La Dolce Vita is a treasure!
Everything was just perfect. It was our first time but felt like it was there just for us that night! Our wonderful waiter gave us a brief history of restaurant and stories about the old times. I've never written about the lady's room , however this must be noted- it is a room, just for one person at a time, with soft lights, beautiful chair at private vanity table, and golden scented candles throughout. Very backstage glamorous! Can't wait to return!
Service was attentive. Bread WAY too hot... like burn the skin off your fingers kind of hot. Lol. But I was most disappointed in the portions. I had Chicken Piccata with Broccolini $28, and it was basically 1 chicken breast butterflied, with the Piccata sauce and a few spears of Broccolini. I literally did a double take. At least give us some bread. They did, 1 small roll at a time. Definitely not worth the price we paid. We left hungry. Definitely disappointed in that visit. 2 cocktails & 2 entrees= $120 including Tip. Really wanted to like it here. 😞
Elegant fine dining, authentic Italian cuisine, excellent service, and not at all overpriced for the food and experience, especially in a neighborhood like Beverly Hills. I made the reservation late, not even sure I could get a table. I was fortunate that there are plenty of fine dining restaurants in LA, and surprised this one was not more packed. I made the reservation on open table nothing that we were celebrating my mom's birthday. The restaurant called me the day of to get her name so they could do something special for her and they did! They made her a personalized menu that said Happy Birthday Helen at the top, plus they sang to her by name, and brought us birthday tiramisu and dessert wine to go with it! We had the shrimp scampi appetizer and omg, I could've made a meal out of it. The shrimp were huge, the sauce was excellent, everything about it made me so happy. Mom had a small caesar salad which was good, but not what they're known for so probably pretty comparable to most other caesar's. We both got the veal picatta for dinner which was very tender and delicious. I will say that my mom makes a better one, not to knock theirs, but she does. The couple next to us ordered one of the night's specials, a veal chop that was not the milanese chop on the menu and when we saw them come out we wanted a do over!! There was also a swordfish special that sounded amazing. I don't think we could've gone wrong with anything on the menu really. We expected the veal picatta to be a little lighter in our tummies than the increible sounding specials though so that was what turned us. All the food was delightful, the staff and service was incredible, and the extra things they did to help us our of towners celebrate a birthday right were just the icing on the cake! Fully recommend this place!
Seriously, this was the best Italian food I have ever had in my entire life! The Caesar salad is unmatched! The chicken parmigiana was light and delicious! The angel hair pasta was great too!
Will be returning soon! Especially for the Caesar salad again, and to try the Filet mignon
We were so happy to return to this lovely restaurant for our 26th wedding anniversary. We chose an early seating when the restaurant was very quiet, and before the valet parking starts at 7 p.m. (There is easy parking in the same block for Beverly Hills Parking, enter on Wilshire Blvd., after passing restaurant on little Santa Monica, turn right and then enter parking and come out right next to restaurant.) The early seating is very romantic and the staff is just great. Again, I can't say enough about the best chopped salad in the area. The pasta is great, and served hot and the veal and veal chops are excellent. Menu is not huge, but a great choices for everyone for great old style Italian cooking. At 7 p.m., the place starts to fill up with the old timer customers and that's what shows what a gem this place is now and has been for so so many years. Urge everyone to give it a try.
We really enjoyed the meal. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. We never felt rushed. It's a wonderful small Italian restaurant that is dated in a good way. If you are a Sinatra fan the photos on the wall get changed periodically from the owners private collection. Jose spent lots of time with us talking about the history of the restaurant. It was a great experience.
A private experience in the heart of Beverly Hills! The staff, down to the valet, is on point as is the food and drinks. No distractions just great service, food, and company. The Photos around the room are fantastic and it's a little bit of Rat Pack and NYC in the bustle of B.Hills.
Can't say enough about the outstanding service we received at La Dolce Vita. From the minute we were seated until the last bite of dessert we experienced what seems to be a rare find these days, excellent food, service, and ambiance. No buyers regret for this perfect evening!
Incredible. Best place I have ever been to by far. Amazing food, service, music, ambiance, everything. I wrote a much longer review earlier but for some reason it got deleted. Long story short, if I had to travel across the globe to eat here again I would. I wish I could live here.
Date night. Lovely evening, Allen the bartender is terrific, come in early & enjoy happy hour (5p-7p). His drinks are fantastic, I had the best Sazarac I have ever had, and my love had a Manhattan. We sat at table 11; (Sir Paul McCartney’s booth) loved the location and the ambiance. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We look forward to going back in June. Linger after dinner at the bar and enjoy another handcrafted cocktail, their Limoncello is very refreshing. Use the valet it is worth it!
Great atmosphere, quiet for conversation. Service was very attentive and prompt. Food is very tasty good selection of Italian fare. Calamari was very fresh and tender, perfectly prepared. Some idiot brought their pet dog (not a service animal) who was out of control. Not the restaurants fault. Otherwise perfect anniversary evening.
Went for a special dinner with friends. Impeccable service. Fabulous food, prepared perfectly. Would go again. It's a special place, but worth going just to treat yourself. Classical Hollywood ambiance but on the lo-fi, which is exactly what makes it so special.
