I cannot imagine my life without La Dolce Vita! The service is always lovely and welcoming. And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, the food arrives and knocks your socks off. I’m so glad I had an extra pair in my purse ;).
One of my favorite spots in Beverly Hills, CA
Always great food and consistent. Plus you never know who will pop in for dinner.
I recommend the menu. It is outstanding
Super snotty and rude manager. Good food. Nice waiter.
The manager should not be hosting or greeting though, he made us feel very unwelcome.
Our absolute fave date spot - such a classy place, delicious food, awesome cocktails and lovely staff. We will come back again and again.
Food was really good, we were staying at the the Beverley Hilton and wanted good food for dinner, this was perfect! My husband loved his steak and wine.
Jose is the best! You are luck to have him
The calamari was very good. Loved the salmon. However, the prices are a little high
Took my wife out for a meal prior to a ballet performance at UCLA... From the outside this place looks ho-hum but once you get inside it's a classic dark bar restaurant that's very old school tastefully done. We had a 515 pm reservation and the place was mostly empty on St. Patrick's day. I had requested the "Sinatra Booth", the very booth Sinatra and friends used to sit in back in the day, when I made the reservation but although it was empty we were told it was unavailable...we were then offered the booth right next to it, the "Reagan Booth", and were seated right away. I could go on and on about the details, but the bottom line is that the this place was fabulous... the "Steak Sinatra" was absolutely one of the finest steaks I have ever had, a perfectly done prime filet...the shrimp scampi appetizer was perfect as well...the chicken marsala was good but not outstanding...and for dessert, the chocolate cake was awesome with perfectly ripe rasberries and whipped cream. Drinks were well poured...and well drank! Service was excellent...Benji took responsibility for our booth and wow was he great... very attentive but never intrusive...he even took a few moments to share some stories about Sinatra and the Reagans that added to the evening.
So we both had a great time and an excellent meal. Of course, it's never cheap when you're buying quality...the bill with liquor and food was $248.00 with about half of that being drinks...add on a $50.00 tip and you're right at $300.00...but this place was totally worth it and I'd be glad to visit again anytime.
La Dolce Vita is apparently an LA institution, having been there for many years. It is basically a New York-style Italian restaurant, with all the classic dishes one expected back in the 50s and 60s. I grew up in New York, and must say that I have had better food. With all of the fresh, innovative California food available, I am rather sorry that we chose La Dolce Vita. The service was excellent, and we celebrated a birthday in a festive way. The decor was cozy and intimate. The only thing missing was really good food - theirs was pretty ordinary. Sorry!
Lovely evening with delicious food! Bartender was a lovely young lady who suggested an amazing wine! We both had a chicken dish and thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would order it again! We had a basic tomato salad and would skip that for one of their delicious looking deserts on our next visit
Always a great choice and the drinks are excellent!
I keep coming back because quite simply, it’s the best Italian food in Los Angeles (and I’m a foodie, I’ve dined everywhere) I don’t get too excited about salads in general but the Caesar salad here is so exceptional that I order it every time I come here. The chicken parmigiana or the Sinatra Steak have become my “go to” favorites for my main course.
Wait staff is always fast, professional, and polite. Another great experience.
La Dolace Vita
Is one of my favorite places to dine on special occasions like Valentines dinner date I’m looking forward to having dinner more often at La Dolace Vita this year great food great service !
We enjoy this place, not only for the food but the the cozy ambiance and friendly service.
Great service from the moment we walked in. Great food, environment, and people. Never disappoints.
Every time I eat here I always leave thinking this is the best food in Los Angeles. Tonight I had the Caesar salad and it was perfect. The Chicken Parmesan was perfect. Service great. A+. I love this place
$18 is a little bit high for corkage there.....when we've paid less on past dinners
Always a pleasure to dine at La Dolce Vita and its quality and excellent service never fails to impress. Food is great, especially if you enjoy the Italian classics. Great selection of wines and a wonderful ambiance, full of Hollywood history.
We will be back! Even ran into a friend here. Great taste and great prices. Classy old school
Molto bene!
Excellent "old school" feel restaurant with fabulous food and excellent service.
My husband and I will definitely be back. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were incredible, and the food was very authentic tasting. We felt like we were back in italy!!
If you want to feel special and enjoy an old school dining experience this is the place. Fabulous service!
This place is fantastic. From the ambience to the wine list and then the food, it was very tasty.
The waiters were outstanding and didn’t hover. I’m very impressed. Definitely would go back if I’m in CA again.
One of the few remaining Beverly Hills classic Italian restaurants from Hollywood's Golden Era! Sinatra funded it's opening, and it still has his classic style in food, drinks, and atmosphere. The service was fabulous, the red leather booths and decor set the right ambiance, and the food was out of this world. We had carpaccio, baked clams, Osso Buco, spaghetti bolognese, caramel pudding and tiramisu...each one made to perfection! The drinks were also expertly crafted. Everything was impeccable! I'll be back!
We are in Cancun every year at Christmas/New Years! We always have at least one dinner at La Dilce Vita - it's one of our favorite restaurants in the area! Wonderful food and great service! We are never disappointed!
Amazing Italian food in an old world charming environment. Highly recommended
Great little spot, it's like time froze. Warm and friendly service with a relaxed ambiance.
It's just amazing, this place has been on my bucket list for years. The food is out of this world, full of flavor and tender. Now I know why Sinatra love this place. The bartender, servers, hostess & the valet treated us like family.
Great service, great people
Very good. The food was excellent and the service was very good as well it is s place with history, yet it was extremely well maintained. We will be back
The best food and service in Los Angeles. Get the Caesar Salad and the Sinatra Steak. Both are amazing. I love this place!
Great food and service.
We started with martinis and had salad and spaghetti with meat balls. The meat balls were the best I've ever had.
Whether you're having dinner with family, friends or business associates , this is the best restaurant around ! The food is heavenly, the service impeccable and the ambiance utterly fabulous.
This place is a gem. The setting is like old LA was before all the foodies attacked. No wooden tables and chairs, no yakking and excess noise, no parties of young mini-skirted girls loudly celebrating something or other. --- just good adult dining. Oh, and by the way, the food is excellent and so is the service. -- and you don't have to be a celebrity, although you may see some there with the ghosts of Frank Sinatra. etc.
I had not been back for about 15 years and had forgotten how wonderful it was.
Fantastique - maravillosa - the BEST !
A great old fashioned Italian restaurant right in our neighborhood - Quiet, comfortable
red leather booths - professional staff - we love it
food was not great. Chicken parmesan was terrible - little cheese, no sauce. Halibut was lovely as was the shrimp fra daviola. Overall I was embarrassed to have taken guests here for dinner due to the food.
As good as ever. Been going for almost 40 years. Oh my!
