Staff couldn’t be nicer. Ambiance great. Food was a bit mediocre for the price.
Intimate and warm. Service was excellent and food was brilliant.
First visit in all the years we traveled to LA. Service was excellent and meal was fantastic.
Disappointing. In my view, La Dolce Vita is not even in the top 20 Italian restaurants in the Los Angeles area. The food was mediocre. It was plated well and the correct temperature. But the flavors were missing.
Service became indifferent after our party of four did not order alcohol. The valet parking attendant gave a higher level of service than the wait staff.
I have dined at this restaurant scores of times over the years. It is excellent .
Loved it. We didn't know the history but La Dolce Vita stands on its own merits.
Great food. Great Service. Love the vibe of an old school Italian American restaurant.
Meatballs might have been a little overcooked.
Always love dining at Dolce — the staff is wonderful, the food is exquisite, and the atmosphere can’t be beat!
Great ambience but the price is too much. Tried the Christmas menu but was not happy with the chicken
La Doce Vida is a restaurant you go to for nostalgia and the cozy ambiance. Christmas Eve is NOT the time. Quite noisy with large parties, which we should have anticipated. The personnel is all wonderful and welcoming and very appreciative of customers' patronage. Would return at a more peaceful time, as this is how we remember the restaurant. The food, for a prix fixe menu, was good but not outstanding and quite limited as far as choice was concerned: four starters, four entrees and two desserts. Excellent value, however, for this type of offering.
The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was so tasty. Took my wife for a birthday dinner on Christmas Eve. Their special menu for the night was just right, we were even greeted with champagne to toast to the holiday. It was cool to eat at an iconic restaurant and not feel like it was touristy at all!
First time visiting this super local restaurant, and we loved it!!! Perfect Italian food that satisfied our whole family. We had the calamari, chopped salad, mozzarella marinara, spaghetti and meatballs, veal, and NY steak. Everything was delicious! And the service was just as great. We will definitely be back often.
Never disappoints. Food and service hard to beat. A great traditional icon of Los Angeles
Outstanding romantic meal!
I made the reservation through OpenTable & noted it was for a birthday. At the end of dinner the waiters came out with a tiramisu & sang happy birthday.
It was so nice. My boyfriend was so surprised, it was wonderful.
Smelled like an old restaurant with lots of carpet cleaner.
Food was extremely salty. Waiter was very nice.
Just an excellent Italian restaurant. Always consistent
Service is outstanding and staff is very helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal
Excellent service, great ambiance, Beverly Hills old school charm. Good chopped salad, eggplant Parmesan and steak with fingerling potatoes. A + service
Amazing service! We had the most memorable nights with our little girls. We were only in Beverly Hills for one night before heading home to Miami in the morning. The service was outstanding and the food was spectacular. We have so many fantastic Italian restaurants in South Florida, but I would definitely rate La Dolce Vita as one of our favorites and definitely a go to in LA. Server was the best!!
The food here is simply spectacular! And the atmosphere, service and history are world class!
I love this place. Our food was outstanding! I had a Caesar salad and chicken parmigiana, both were incredible! The parmigiana was perfectly prepared, might be the best parm in Los Angeles. A+
Best place in LA. Pure and simple. DON’T tell a friend, though...this gem is nice and UN-crowded!
Delivered food and service above our expectations
Michelin would rate them 3 stars
It was very nice. The waiter was very friendly. Food was fresh and delicious
Pretty bad service. Even at the 4 person bar it was horrible...no bread serving, no place settings until after our food arrived, wasn't offered a refill when I finished my cocktail (from the bartender, no less!)
Favorite atmosphere 💖
The service is excellent and the location is easy to get to. I enjoyed the food that I ate. The only comment about the food would be that the penne pesto didn't have pine nuts (just the way they make it), which is strange for a pesto sauce. I didn't love how dark the restaurant is, as most of the patrons have to use their cellphones as flashlights to even read the menu. Overall, a good restaurant... but just a tad bit overpriced. You're paying for the history of the restaurant and the location more than you're paying for the food.
Five women met the night before a golf tournament, three LA locals and two from the desert. The locals were so glad to have been invited as they had not been to the restaurant in several years and were thrilled with the reintroduction. Our reservation attendees increased over the days prior to the dinner and the staff was most friendly in making the changes. We requested a special salad and again the staff did an outstanding job in accommodating our request. Five different entrees, all superb in taste and presented beautifully. Tables were beautifully prepared upon arrival.
Beautiful cozy fun delicious! All my favorite criteria’s for a winner!!!
Old style No. Italian testaurant with white table cloths and red vinyl booths, The food was good, but more expensive than I woul have thought, and the menu selections are limited compared to similar restaurants in their price point.
Everything was great except the service was slow. We felt like the waiter forgot about us in several occasions. We were planning on ordering coffee and desert but by that time, we just want to get out of there.
Servers were amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the establishment.
Yum yum. We ordered three items and they were all outstanding. Would 100 percent recommend
The best food in all of Los Angeles! My wife and I had a delicious and romantic meal! The Sinatra Steak is incredible!
Food was excellent, the whole staff makes you feel welcome!
This was our 1st time here for a romantic Italian dinner. The waiter staff was great a lil dark but it was romantic. And the food was great. WE will be back again.
Wonderful night! Delicious dinner.
Old school classic place. Great to hear ol blue eyes crooning while dining.
