La Cuisine French Restaurant
Our menu focuses on unprocessed ingredients. We use local, grass-fed, antibiotic free meat and poultry when available.
Everything you taste at La Cuisine is homemade and well portioned as if you were invited to our grandmother's table.
Would like to have seen more Bruch options available. Our server was very friendly, but we had to keep asking for items that she forgot.
Amazing food and service
Great atmosphere, my wife and Inbith had steak here was now cooked properly, so I waited they recooked hers and then mine was cold. Great place though we will be back.
We had our 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner at La Cuisine and it was wonderful. The food was top rate, service excellent, ambience was very french and cozy. We had planned to travel to Paris, France for our 50th but could not this year so we decided to bring Paris to Ocala so La Cuisine. Glad we did it. Highly recommend this very french resturant.
Food was excellent, service was same. I would recommend it.
An excellent place with excellent service and excellent food.
I had the snails - delicious, served piping hot with crusty bread, then rack of lamb, also quite good. Husband had grouper a la meunière, reasonable portion size but the entree price we felt was high ($36) for fish - is grouper that expensive? I could understand if it was scallops at that price. Overall quite an expensive place to eat, a treat for a special occasion. I'd go back just for the snails and a glass of wine :) Loved the ambiance - quite casual - no stiff upper crust French feeling just warm and very polite, service was impeccable we thought?
A place for special occasion, dates and so ..... !
Representative French cuisine prepared well and served solicitously.
Very good food and great service!
One of my local favorites and never fails to delight! Our server, Alex, provided us with excellent service. He was attentive, prompt and accommodating. Another wonderful dining experience at La Cuisine! Merci!
The atmosphere provided really help set the mood for the dinner I was having with my loved one. The food was exceptionally delectable, and the live performance was a great touch.
Service wasnt phenomenal and food was off. My entree was dry and soup had way too many onions for a request for light onions that they said they could accommodate. Can’t recommend.
A place for love!
Excellent service from our waiter Andrew! A very pleasant lunch and atmosphere! Food selections are varied from the normal restaurant which is a plus! Highly recommend!
Warm “country french” atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. Enjoyed it very much & will certainly return.
The food and service were excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Would definitely recommend
Great food, great staff. Wish other diners were not wearing jeans and shirts hanging out!! Some kind of dress code should be appropriate.
Delightful place to have a birthday dinner celebration. The food was great. Waiter was efficient and amiable. The ambience was super. 👌
Wonderful. Great staff
Food was fabulous. Our waiter was wonderful but it did take a while for him to make his initial visit to our table. We needed to ask the hostess to bring us some water but everyone was very accommodating.
My husband had the short rib special and ate every bite. He said it was very tender and delicious. I had the duck a l’orange and also ate everything on the plate. We had ratatouille for a side and also shared the mashed potatoes. All amazing. We shared a great bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir that was reasonably priced. We had no room for desert!
Visited for our Anniversary and everything was amazing! From our appetizers to our dinner entrees and even the creme brulee for dessert! We will definitely return!
Always a wonderful experience.
What a pleasant surprise in downtown Ocala. Food was good and service was great. I am looking forward to going back!
Met a friend there. Perfect destination, location was good, food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Would definitely be back.
When in Ocala La Cuisine is a must!!!
I love this restaurant! It is always a pleasant experience to have dinner here- a warm greeting, beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, outstanding food quality, and conveniently located. Although it's a little pricey, it's worth every penny.
One member of our party described her dinner as barely warm. Other two were fine. Pate for appetizer was served refrigerated therefore very hard to spread on the baguettes. Ambience was disturbed by a couple in the booth behind us who talked on their phones the whole time.
We love this restaurant. We try to go there when we have special occasions to celebrate. It is always a very special experience. The wonderful french tastes found on the menu are just out of this world.
The best quality food and atmosphere in Ocala. That goes for wine and drink selections too.
Wonderful meal. French onion soup, scallop appetizer special, caesar salad. Mains included duck l'orange, braised pork shank, lamb chops and filet mignon. French fries delicious. Very willing to accommodate food allergies and special requests. Specialty drinks excellent, a little pricey. French bread on the table fantastic. Service was overwhelmed, large group of 10 seated at the same time as our table, and they sat us next to the kitchen, so there was a lot of traffic coming and going by the table. Worth a try, and will return.
The best food my wife and I have in Florida. Great service and great food.
We were pleasantly surprised. There were plenty of choices on the menu and the portions were generous. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and attentive. The filet was cooked perfectly and the chocolate cake was a perfect way to end the meal.
Outstanding cuisine! Worth the trip! Quality of food to remember!
Only suggestion is to allow more space between tables.
Lovely Sunday Brunch. We all appreciated the food and ambiance. The waitress and staff were wonderful and our food was excellent.
We visited La Cuisine a few years ago, and hadn't gone back because my husband didn't like what he ordered. So decided to give it another try. After we were seated, bread was placed on each of our plates, I assumed for our dinners. For our appetizers, my husband ordered the escargot and I got the roasted garlic bulbs, that were to come with toasted baguettes. When I got the garlic, I asked where the baguettes were, and he pointed to the bread on my plate. Then said I could order more for an additional fee. (I thought the bread was for my meal. A little misleading.) Husband ordered filet mignon, medium well, it came out medium with blood on the plate, had to send it back. I got the scallops and celery heart, didn't care for the celery hearts at all. Other things I would like to have tried, but not a whole meal, since I've never had them. Would have loved to order a sampling of frog legs, duck, pork belly, stuffed mushrooms or lamb. (The room we were in was quite noisy.)
The meal was excellent, The service, however, was lacking. We saw the waiter to order, once to check on our drinks and not again until we asked for our check. Will definitely return for the food, it was exceptional! We will hope for a different waiter
Friday nights dining experience was a huge disappointment, after dozens of fabulous meals here. Hard to believe its the same place we’ve frequented, bragged about and recommended for years. Garlic app. & onion soup was quite good as usual, but Steak Friets was extremely average, and pork tenderloin was what I’d Expect from a chain resturant. But the topper was the service. Our waiter, and bus/bread boy didn’t have a clue. This is extremely disappointing considering the exceptional high level of service we’ve always experienced in the past. The wrong meals were brought out at first, and then of course we waited another 10-15 minutes for the correct ones, and when the arrived, they were well below LaCuisine’s high standard. Entertainment was very good, as usual, but over all the experience was a huge let down from what we’re used to. We’ll be back soon, because this is normally the best resturant in Ocala. I didn’t see Patrice, but perhaps he was in the kitchen putting out fires.
The food is top notch.. Service is great but, the food is approx 20% overvalued.. If it were more appropriately priced I would dine 6 or more times a year instead of just once.
I have been to La Cuisine many times and find that it is worth the drive from Gainesville. I love the Meunière salad. Sometimes the dressing is a little too vinegary but this time it was perfect. My date had the duck which is always very good and I tried the pork with calvados cream. They were both excellent though I prefer the pork Jarrett which is a pork shank ask on the menu.
I wasn’t in love with the banana chocolate soufflé. It missed the gooey center and may have been overcooked but the chocolate mousse was on point.
