Delicious flavors and good portions! My friend and I shared the Pan de Tomate with Serrano Ham—a perfect charcuterie plate, the patatas bravas and spicy Brussels sprouts, and the pasta with saffron and butternut squash—we stuffed ourselves and had enough for leftovers! The Rose Cava was great as well! Wish I had room for dessert!
Delicious, they change their menu every day but if they have the pork get it!
I would recommend to folks living in Baltimore looking for a pricey dinner. I traveled from Silver Spring and is a long trip for the value (food albeit very good is expensive) and the menu needs more staples of Basque cuisine specially codfish. Currently the menu just have a single codfish croquette for $2, portions should include at least two croquettes.
Food was not as good as previous experience. Portions are very small for the price.
Almost perfect for Spain !! The several bites are small but with a great flavors!!
Wine selection was phenomenal and we stuck to the tapas. Cheese and jamon was exquisite as was the lobster bisque soup.
It was very noisy and the table were too close. We could not have a quiet conversation, and could hear every word of the two persons at the table next to us. Also, the lights were too bright for a nice dinner. Overall it was nice, but when going out for a nice dinner, the noise and lighting were substantial distractions.
Place was great. Great cocktails, great food, great service.
Fantastic food, outstanding service, terrific setting, great restaurant. I highly recommend La Cuchara!
The food was amazing and service was even better. This was our second visit and we are definitely coming back here.
Food was great. The Sommelier was amazing but the server wasn’t great.
The lobster bisque was great, the swordfish was fantastic, the rib eyes were pretty good and the desserts were wonderful. The service was excellent. Now, I do think for $89.00 per person there might have been a little something extra as I have often seen at other restaurants on holidays when a steep fixed price is paid. It is always a nice touch.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Fixed menu had a good assortment. Everything we had was tasty but we could not figure out why the ribeye was served on a bed of large scallions. The scallions were actually hard to cut and chew. We discarded them. I think that if the steak was served on a bed of broccolini it would have complimented the steak a whole lot better. The waitress never introduced herself and while she was courteous, she never smiled and it felt like she didn’t want to be there. As good as the drinks were, the portions were really small for what we paid for. I can get larger drinks a little cheaper at certain locales in Harbor East. Overall it was a good experience and I would have to give it another try to have a final consensus.
Food was just so so, soup was cold (but quickly replaced) steak and leaks was not great. Rockfish also un impressive. It was Valentines night so that might explain but, then, they should have done the dishes really well.
It was Valentine’s Day. Daughter was in from out of town . LaCuchara had been our favorite restaurant.. until now, We were told upon arrival that there were no reservations made by us. The host was adamant and accusatory. Luckily i had a vm msg. From Kristina at LC confirming our reservations Tuesday 2/13. I also spoke to man a day prior to our dinner confirming i got the vm. No apologies were expressed for their mistake. We were then seated as far in the back where trays are stored and traffic by servers, busboys, and others a constant. Our view was that of trays dirty towels and such along the back wall. Our server had zero personality as if we were a nuisance. I was served the wrong soup- he acted like it was my fault. Not sure if we will return. Such a shame
The service would have been better if our waiter didn’t have other tables to wait. Food was great but too salty, we ordered the Lamb shoulder which came out juicy and tender but was way too salty. 2nd order was the Rockfish which was excellent, was wondering if it was prepared by a different chef.
This is my go to restaurant when I want a great meal. The food and the service is impeccable. I’ve been so many times I lost count! My favorite restaurant !
Lovely dining experience. The tapas was great. we shared a ribeye which was outstanding. We will be back.
The food and service were both amazing! Everything we tried was perfectly cooked and we were so happy with all of our choices. We really appreciated the explanations of some of the dishes. The birthday drink was a nice surprise!
Chorizo and manchego was delicious as were the other apps. Salad was made with wilted lettuce which was disappointing. Lamb was baked to perfection but the rest was not so great . Was a little disappointing overall.
Bar was good. Very attentive. Service was ok. Charcuterie was deicious. Duck was not worth it. My date had lamb and both of us were really dissapointed. I had high expectations for this place. I won’t be back.
Great cocktail selection and interesting assortment of small and large plates! Next time we will sit at the bar since our table was wedged between the kitchen and the dining room. Otherwise, it was a positive experience.
Not very vegan/vegetarian friendly - servers were nice.
I was really looking forward to dining here. It’s a very pretty restaurant, the service was great, the wine was great but the food was just “eh”. Not a lot of choices if you don’t like sausage.
Very poor service for the second time in a row. The salad had a too heavily salted dressing. I coyldn’t Eat it.
We had another great experience last night. Michael or Red as he is called, was fantastic. He recognized us from being in a few weeks back and came right over and shook our hands. He had recommended a wine last time we were in and we went back last night just for that wine again and it didn't disappoint.
We really enjoyed talking with him and appreciated his suggestion of vanilla ice cream to pair with the 1973 Pedro that we finished the night off with.
We were a party of 2 with a reservation. When we checked in they first gave us a table right near the door. It was a cold night and asked if we could have another table, I had sat at that one before and found it drafty. We were moved to another table but the response was that it was a busy night. Well that's why I made a reservation! The service was just ok. We had left overs we wanted to take home so I motioned to my waitress that we'd like a bag for the two parcels. She never came back with it so we jus left.
On a more positive note we enjoyed the food!
Nice variety of seafood, meat and vegetable tapas. The mixtos were good appetizer size. The primer platos were surprisingly large. My wife and I had 2 mixtos, 2 primer platos and shared a main course which was more than enough for a substantial meal. Price was very reasonable for the quality of the dishes. Service was attentive but not overbearing. It was a bit noisy but that seemed to be the atmosphere. I'd highly recommend and look forward to coming back!
Excellent menu, excellent execution, beautiful locale, very reasonable prices. Will be back
Service was excellent, very attentive. Food was very good. Was one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in months. Will be back for sure.
We love this place. Great in every way - food, service, vibe all 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Bar snacks and charcuterie are awesome (jamon et queso - ham and cheese - platter a must), and between the small plates and entrees there is something to please everyone. Finally, even if you think you are too full for dessert, be sure to at least try one of the House made ice creams or sorbets or a coffee - they serve Ceremony coffee, which if you haven’t had already, shame on you!
Food was delicious, we had an enjoyable meal. We love the cheese and meat board and the almonds are wonderful. We each enjoyed a small-to-medium plate for dinner after sharing the charcuterie. Plenty of food. Dessert ice cream and sorbet was delicious as well. Enjoyed a nice Sherry.
Our bartender happened to be around and we talked to him about our interest for some wine and went above and beyond telling us about the types of wine
Food very mediocre. Very minimum similarity to Spanish food even for very basic dishes, like Patatas Bravas.
Atmosphere urban, pleasant...
Poor price/ quality food
Wonderful dinner! The service was outstanding and the food was terrific! Unique cuisine that was a great change.
The food was absolutely amazing and our server, Britt, was super attentive with us and all her other tables. It was our first time and it definitely won’t be our last. The restaurant has such a cool, industrial vibe but still felt warm and home-y. Also, get the lamb - that’s the best dish.
Very good service and exceptional wine offerings from their knowledgeable sommelier.
Food was delicious, as expected.
Visited for restaurant week. The service and food were outstanding!
This was a birthday dinner for my husband. Server was attentive and good guidance by the sommelier. Scallops were well prepared- perfect texture and a little browned on top.
Everything was fantastic. One of the best meals I have had in a long time!
