A restaurant with class, excellent food. conscientious service and European ambience.
One of our favorite places, anywhere.
The dinner was very disappointing. It was not poor food, but rather very ordinary. The special, stripped bass was prepared without any creativity or interest. The bread was also not appropriate. A large loaf of white bread with a crust.was very mediocre. Smaller pieces of warm bread with some interesting flavors would be better.
La Cremaillere served the lightest, most refined French country food we have tasted. The ambiance can not be beat. Dining there is like taking a short trip to the French countryside.
This restaurant has been one of my favorite eateries for at least the last 25 years. It is our "special occasion" go to and just perfect for a good dinner with friends. The food is always outstanding. The Service as well. I am never disappointed and hope it will remain in Banksville for many years to come. Oh, almost forgot, the ambiance is beautiful, traditional French decor, even in the ladies room (lovely provincial paintings).
We drove down from Boston, MA to celebrate an anniversary and a graduation. We could not have picked a better venue! This restaurant oozes with charm. The food is first class and first rate, with a very professional staff. We can't wait to return!
Again, comfy, country classic and delicious! Stephane and Omar are so professional and friendly and always helpful!
Perfect! Everything was consistently wonderful. The best Soup in the world
Everything about our experience was perfect. Will look forward to another visit for a special occasion.
Love the Cremaillaire!!!!!
My dinner quite possibly was the best meal of my life, and I've been fortunate to have eaten at fine restaurants all over the world for over 50 years. La Cremaillere's reputation is well-deserved. The escargot with angel hair pasta was sublime, and the Seafood Vol au Vent was perfection. My partner's Duck Pate and Mousse starter and Veal Osso Bucco likewise had rave reviews. And the Grand Marnier Souffles were a delight. All topped with an excellent wine and impeccable service. We scheduled a stop on a vacation trip specifically to try La Cremaillere, and definitely will plan to do the same again in the future.
Food and service was fantastic. We enjoyed a nice casual meal with great food
We had a wonderful evening. The food was fabulous, we particularly enjoyed the lobster raviolis, pike dumplings, and the Dover sole...so fresh!
Dessert here is always a treat, the grand marnier souffles are a must!
Wonderful wine selection.
Beautiful restaurant....Thank you!
FABULOUS!!! We are foodies who travel the world and this is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Highly recommended for a special occasion and an intimate experience.
It is the quintessential traditional French restaurant
La Cremaillere is always on our short list for holiday family meals, celebrations, or a nice night out. The food is reliably top notch and the service is always the very best. It is a cozy place to spend a few hours and one that we return to time and again.
Friends fro out of town
My husband and I have been coming for years, The food is amazing and the staff could not be
nicer. We always feel welcomed - it is like coming home.
The lamb is superb and the salmon out of this world.
Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves French food and the feeling of being in
First class all the way. Attention to detail. Wonderful food.
Spectacular as always....we went for a special 1/2 priced dinner menu. I was fine with the tip based on the regular pricing, however my guests were quite annoyed. Nowhere on the email (which indicates the dinner is a $95 value) or physical menu at the restaurant did it indicate that tipping was to be based off of the regular dining price. What was most upsetting was how the gentleman handling the check was trying to force one of my guests to allow him to add the tip of his preference to the credit card. He was hovering and impatient. I know my guests will not be returning.....a suggestion to my favorite restaurant....please include in your email that a gratuity is expected based off of the full value of $95.
This historic restaurant in the midst of a beautiful countryside of Bedford, New York is a must place to visit for that special meal, business meeting of family celebration. Quiet, classy, cozy, amazing wine list, and superb selection of food courses.
Not only was the presentation fine, the sauces were just perfect also.
Such wonderful French cuisine. Service was impeccible.
I can't say enough about it!!!
Met freinds for lunch. As usual, the food and service were excellent.
Very welcoming and amazing sauces and desert !
We loved the place and will be back again. The staff is super nice and we even heard a ghost story after asking about the house being a historical landmark. The food was beautiful and tasty. Creative adjustments to gluten free were made without trouble and very much appreciated. Coffee and desserts were served at the same time! Perfect!
It was fabulous - hope to return soon! So charming and great food and service ! Very special !
After the main course we never saw our waiter and had to ask numerous people for a dessert menu. And then had to seek out our bill.
The meal and ambiance were wonderful. We will be back without question.
Truly a local gem! The staff is cordial and friendly. Their Menu choices are fabulous and delicious. I like taking advantage also of the special Menus. Wonderful country setting. Highly recommend!
Beautiful restaurant for a special birthday dinner.
What a fun place to to have a great meal in an historic building. Make sure you ask about dessert options. Real suffle is available and should be oredered.
I have spineless undrinkable I sent it back and they And they replaced it with something equally as bad. I complained that they took it off the bill but that’s not the point. It will not gracious enough to offer Me and alternative. We made a special weekend to be at this restaurant and I have been there before and found it wonderful. So all in all a very disappointing evening
Everything was good. Myself and my 2 kids went.
It’s a little too quiet.
We have been at this charming restaurant before and we were happy to sample their new spring/summer menu, even though it doesn't feel like spring outside!
My wife had the crabcake, which is an appetizer, as a main course, and she said was very delicious and satisfying. I had the veal ossobucco with the tri-colored carrots, which was very very flavorful. I was afraid it might be too heavy , but it was actually very light and tender.
The whole experience was all around wonderful!
One of Westchester,s very best I
The place has some unique character being located in the historic building with interior decoration suiting nicely the style. You could really imagine being somewhere at French countryside. The service was polite and attentive - and they speak English better than at the French countryside. Unfortunately the food did not quite meet our expectations having read all the positive reviews. Especially the duck confit was a disappointment: dry and tasteless like an overdone roasted chicken instead of the juicy fall-of-the-bone duck meat that one would expect. The other dishes were better, but nothing spectacular. At this price range you'll dine better elsewhere.
We had another delicious meal at La Cremaillere. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. My only note was that they asked if this was for a special occasion when I made the reservation and I said it was for my MIL's birthday and noted this again when they called to confirm the reservation and yet they did nothing for her. That was the only disappointing part. Glad I didn't tell her that I let them know.
A very nice menu selection and food was prepared as ordered. Courteous service made the meal even more enjoyable.
Lovely atmosphere. Friendly, attentive service.
