Delicious food, with great quality ingredients, and excellent service. I was surprised they could accommodate our party of six during Wine Fest weekend. They were really great in allowing us to add an unexpected seventh member of our group. Really looking forward to returning.
Go for the Paiea
This was our 4th visit to La Cosecha. Each time has been a very good experience. Food is always outstanding as is the service. This time we decided to order several small plates instead of entree’s. All were very good but the grilled octopus was best. Highly recommend.
My server was fantastic! Thank for a wonderful experience.
Really loved the feel of the restaurant. Our waiter was amazing. We wanted to try a Spanish wine with dinner and he made an incredible recommendation without breaking the bank. Started with the beet salad which was delicious. Easy for two people to share. We then ordered the octopus that I have to say was out of this world. Perfectly cooked/seasoned and not rubbery at all. We enjoyed it so much we went back to have it again a couple of days later. For our main course we ordered the special which was a Spanish version of cioppino. Again another dish that was amazing. We really enjoyed this restaurant. A perfect addition to downtown Paso Robles.
The ambiance was nice and the food was very good. Our server was wonderful. I wish I could remember his name. He even helped us try and jump a dead battery on our car after lunch. What a sweet man!!
Food & drinks were excellent. A little disappointed that the grilled octopus was actually fried, but otherwise a great dining experience. We will most definitely be back.
This was our third time at La Cosecha and it did not disappoint. We shared a beet salad with very tender beet salad, possibly the best octopus, and a small flatbread along with a nice bottle of local syrah. Try it, you'll like it.
Delicious food - loved the best salad - and an icy cold draft beer. Had great service from start to finish. I will return soon.
Been here many times, so thought we'd have a nice Easter dinner on our drive down the coast. Husband and I shared the ceviche of the day (shrimp and scallops), which was delicious. Fish special (Alaskan cod) and lamb shank dinners were both well prepared. Lamb was very tender and mashed potatoes were heavenly. Service was good but not as attentive as previous visits, even though the restaurant was sparsely populated, probably related to the holiday. Overall good experience, and we will return on future visits to Paso Robles.
We went here for dinner with our family - because it was a holiday weekend we needed to wait 20 minutes for our table to become available. Service was really good, attentive. Although it was difficult to hear our server when she was sharing the nights specials. Things are served here tapas style which we wish we would have known when ordering. but, it all worked out OK and we had fun sharing our entree's. We had the tortilla soup, the scallops, the salmon, the grilled rib eye, the risotto, the Mediterranean pizza, and we shared the beet and goat cheese salad. All were well done. Will share that the greens in the risotto were overpowering for the dish and quite bitter, and that the rib eye and accompanying vegetables, were over salted. But the steak was cooked perfectly. The wine list is extensive and I would say a bit overpriced for the venue. The prices seemed to be more in line with Napa or San Francisco prices. We did find a nice bottle of Parrish Chardonnay. We had driven by their winery earlier that day, so thought it would be fun to try. It was a good wine for the price. Overall I would recommend.
It was a good experience but there are some better options in Paso Robles, corkage was $20 which is about right for the area.
Food was good but not memorable, we sat on the seats by the front window which was open so allowed for a very nice evening to have dinner with my wife.
Great food. nice atmosphere. service slightly too slow
We've been here a few times over the last several years - always love the food and service. Wonderful time as usual! Fun combinations of flavors and foods.
Suzy and I are wine and foodie buffs. We search for fine eateries to enjoy the best dining experience . La Cosecha is one of the few that deserve 5 stars for all categories. The food and drink are beautifully presented and are equally delicious. The libations are nothing short of crafted by bartenders who are enthusiastic and friendly. The entire staff, from the host/ess to the service staff make us feel welcome not rushed. The atmosphere is usually filled with music by local singers. La Cosecha is a place one can recommend to a friend and be certain that they will have a great experience.
We were in Paso for an art fair and decided to have lunch at La Cosecha. It was an excellent choice. We were with another couple who enjoyed the food, service, cocktails and ambience as much as we did. The appetizers were wonderful. Ordered the empanadas, ceviche and the calamari - all perfectly prepared and seasoned. We also ordered the Cubano Sandwich and the Chilequiles with Chile Verde and Poached Egg. Great choices again. Will definitely return.
First time at La Cosecha. A great option in Paso and would go back but like wouldn’t order the same things. We opted to share the empanadas (awesome!), lamb meatballs (they were fried and not noted as such on the menu; pass), ceviche (awesome!), salumi pizza (too much sauce, lackluster crust; pass). Cocktails and wine tasty, ambiance and service were fantastic. I think the menu just needs some fine tuning.
Will definitely make it a point to stop by everytime we visits Paso. Food was full of flavor and loved the energy !!! Great date night spot. Make sure to make a reservation ! The place does get crowded but you won't be disappointed.
Arrived a bit early , seated immediately. Waitress told us of specials , asked about cocktails and opening our wine. Great menu . All food well prepared. Soup was steaming hot- appreciated.
It was a Friday night and large parties there. Very noisy, unfortunately high ceilings with tin roof. Accommodating to some walking in without appointments to eat at bar.
This is our 3rd visit and we’ll definitely return.
Great wait staff, ambiance and food.
Since we first dined, it became high on our "go back" list. Never disappointed from high expectations. Food is our first priority in a restaurant, and it is equalled by service. Thanks Santo and Carol.
The Paella and the Brazilian fish stew are both outstanding and everyone should experience at least once.
The host was great, but service was incredibly slow and the food was cold and one of our guests had to wait until long after everyone else was served for her entree. The noise level made it difficult to have a conversation at the table. The food was okay. The starters were very good, but the main dishes were unimpressive. Great calamari and lamb meatballs.
A gem. Fun ambiance, friendly service, fabulous flavors.
Excellent place to eat, with delicious food, and great service. We shared the calamari, which was light and tender, then had the octopus, and shared their famous specialty soup. I can’t recall the name of it, but it has a coconut base, was jam packed with various seafood, and is served with rice. Mmmmm.....spectacular! We highly recommend this restaurant.
La Cosecha offers a Latin American fusion menus created by a Honduran chef, whose creativity results in a somewhat confusing and eclectic mix of choices. Along the same lines, the decor is a fusion of central American and Spanish themes. We had reservations, as the place is very popular, I would venture to guess mostly because of its location and layout, with a small outside bar that offers probably the best opportunity to 'see and be seen' in downtown Paso. Space is limited and tables are close to one another, but not uncomfortably so, and conversation is possible in a normal tone of voice.
We were promptly seated where we asked after a brief attempt at choosing a less desirable table for us. The host was tentative but pleasant, and table service was professional and reasonably competent, but we sensed that they were trying perhaps a bit too hard to move people through.
The wine list was okay, but limited, and in my assessment expensive.
The high point was a grilled octopus appetizer, while mussels and scallops were average. Some of the appetizers came in huge rectangular plates that crowded the table and made it difficult to share them without reaching over.
We tried the daily entree special, moquequa, a Brazilian variation of bouillabaisse, and found it very good. The lamb shank was tasteful, but presentation was abysmal, with the sad looking overdone shank falling apart on a yellow-green bed of a mix of steamed and pureed vegetables. The result was a very visually unappealingly dish that detracted from its enjoyment. The pan-seared salmon suffered the same ignominy, and really looked like a quickly thrown together plate that one could prepare at home with minimal effort. Again the awkwardly shaped plates created unnecessary distraction from the meal.
I forget what we had for dessert.
I think a three-star rating is appropriate.
Excellent pizza bianco, good wine list, and the tapas were very nice as well.
Excellent charcuterie, octopus and zin
Visiting/touring wine country
La Cosecha is top notch. Professional service staff, delicious and unique dishes, great full bar, and nice setting on the town square with a full wall that opens into the beautiful outdoors.
Excelllent, tasty food. Very accommodating
We enjoyed the empanadas, they were amazing! The hint of Lemmon was great on the salmon. The pork chop was to die for!
Our first visit to La Cosecha was amazing! It was a bit loud, but it was also a Saturday night which made the vibe fun. The service was on point and everyone was very friendly. All of our expectations were blown away by all of the dishes we had. I highly suggest the grilled octopus starter, beet salad and if you are a meat lover, the rib eye is sure to please (melted in my mouth). We will definitely be returning here for dinner the next time we are in Paso. Thank you for a six star experience!!
Great experience I would highly recommend this place
Really top quality food here. Brazilian seafood stew was cooked to perfection, add a swirl of hot pepper sauce. My husband had the pork chop, also perfectly cooked. Outstanding wine list, plus friendly attentive service made this a hit.
The food was excellent. We went for brunch on Sunday...the poached eggs on crab cakes wer simply delicious! The Bloody Mary is the best in the county. The music was outstanding.
We go here every time we are in Paso. It is delicious!
We came in after a day of wine tasting. We were so starved and enjoyed every single bite. We were sad to not enjoy any cocktails but hopefully next time!
The avocado toast was a meal unto itself. Libations well mixed and entree generous in size and delicious. It’s easy to over order.
