Food and service were great - I would definitely go again. A fun list of wines and cocktail drinks, too, with many wines from the Paso Robles area as well as Spain, Chile and Argentina. Only quibbles were that our table was near the door and window to the outdoor tables so it was chilly and a loud large party was next to us. But neither deterred our enjoyment of a wonderful meal.
Service was almost a 4 because it started a little rough but it was so busy a 4 would have been unfair. It’s noisy so not a place for a quiet evening. Food is outstanding. Try it. We had a great time and will return.
My husband and I were there to celebrate my birthday. Our overall experience was great, the seafood paella was excellent, drinks were great, and the server was knowledgeable and nice. My only complaint is that I wasn’t offered a birthday dessert.
Food was delicious. Cody was a great server. Will definitely go back.
Tables are tiny and close together. We went on a week night and sat at the bar for our dinner, which was a lot of fun. The paella was delicious but salty. Scallops also were great. Nice wines by the glass. Would go back but not on a weekend.
Excellent all around. Food was outstanding!
The scallops were delicious, paella is not authentic with breaded calamari on top. Ceviche was bland. Great atmosphere and great service.
La Cosecha on a Sunday night, off-season -- still a wait to be seated. Staff attentive and accommodating, food mediocre. Pizza was soggy in the middle, scallops were very sweet (?!), burata was ordinary, torilla soup had little to offer. The only entre our party of six agreed on was the the pork chop was just about perfect. All this was probably just a sunday-night chef, but still troubling. If this food had been served elsewhere I'd give the place two stars for food and say the menu was pretentious. Maybe La Cosecha should limit the menu selections on Sunday? We will be back for another try based on prior experience, but this outing was sub-par and disappointing.
Amazing food and service with great wine list! Highly recommended!
Fantastic service. Amazing bar and wine selection. I return for their Moqueca...
Very small and crowded on a Saturday. Servers were very busy so attentiveness suffered a bit. Food was good and it was a fun evening.
Great time! Good food and terrific service -Nikki made us feel special !
Cute place. Great food. Had one of the specials and it was excellent. The waiter was very attentive and took very good care of our table. Will definitely go back again.
Just like Il Cortile, La Coscheca was just amazing, the food service and atmosphere were perfect. I went there twice in one week. So good!!!
Amazing food. Great service!!
Christina our waitress is a true professional! She practiced her trade of providing incomparable service with friendliness, efficiency and fulfilled every requirement of making the meal even more enjoyable.
We had dinner here on Saturday night and loved it so much we came back on Sunday for brunch! The food was amazing, the service was so friendly and attentive. We'll be coming back next time we are in Paso!
Friendly and professional service, very welcoming, and the food is great
Great service and amazing food
Super friendly staff!
restaurant is in great location right on the square lots of fun energy. A big long bar is available for walk-ins and they also had a tall table facing onto the square area. We split a pizza and a few appetizers and enjoyed them all but the highlight was really the service.
I visit this area every other month, but somehow missed this dining gem. First lunch experience over the weekend was excellent. Nice ambience and quality cuisine. Will definitely return.
Great experience and vibe. Highly recommend
too noisy, tables close to one another. Not our kind of restaurant, and wouldn't recommend it
Located on the Plaza, the location couldn’t have been better. The food and staff were amazing! Although I indicated it was for a special occasion (2 birthdays) there wasn’t anything done for it. Not sure if I should have expected some sort of acknowledgement or not. Other than that hiccup, it was by far the one of the best meals we had in Paso.
We had a wonderful dinner on a very busy weekend. It was the Harvest Festival Weekend and they were super busy. We were seated a little after our reservations and they were so nice and brought us some free appetizers for our wait. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs.
Food was good but my steak was over cooked and expensive for a rib eye. My wife had braised short ribs that were delicious. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the fun casual atmosphere.
Really interesting, nicely prepared food from central and south america. I tried the seafood stew which was a special that day and everything was perfect - tender clams and mussels, light broth with subtle flavor. Our server answered our questions with knowledge and enthusiasm, and recommended a Spanish wine that was amazing. Definitely will return.
The food was amazing we all liked our plates clean!!
First time to La Cosecha during our visit to Paso Robles from the east coast. Experience was great and food was delicious. Highly recommend this place for a dining option. We plan to be back.
Perfect for an outing of friends - casual.
It was my first time visiting the restaurant and I couldn’t be happier. The food, service, and atmosphere were all spot on. I will be back for sure.
My husband and I made a reservation for our anniversary last weekend. *Pro-tip: make a reservation. We saw some people who were happy to wait or take up a seat at the bar. We also saw a few patrons frustrated about waiting...for a table of 4...for dinner...on a Friday night at 7:00 (I will never understand). The decor is subtle, simplistic, and modern but not at all stuffy. The only reason I'd give the atmosphere a 4/5 is because of the TVs above the bar. They seem out of place and distracting. The real star, however, is the food. We ordered a little bit of everything and were pleased as punch (speaking of punch, our cocktails were ah-mazing)! We didn't wait long – despite a full house – and the service was phenomenal! We are from Fresno and plan on stopping in again in the very near future.
Authentic with a twist, delicious food, friendly downtown neighborly service, definitely one of my top 3 in Paso Robles! We made reservations a week in advance and our table was ready when we arrived.
I love wine country restaurants that have a reasonably priced list - they know that many of their diners know what they are paying for a bottle. They might have just left a tasting room, so lets not get greedy with the mark up of lovely bottles matched for the chef's cuisine. La Cosecha is just such a place. We drank a delicious bottle of a vintage not available at the winery anymore- Caliza Companion 2014. Rich fruity and just enough Tempranillo to set a Spanish tone for our meal. Perfect with the meat paella - each of the chunks of pork, chicken, and sausage cooked just right, not over done, but still succulent. The rice well flavored though not enough of a soccarat on the bottom. A special of the day was a fine slow cooked short rib with mashed potatoes- completely tender but not stringy, a rich extracted meat sauce that matched the wine. Best of all was the Moqueca- not on the menu but it came highly recommended by a tasting room and she was right on. The Brazilian seafood stew was filled with mussels, small clams, shrimp and salmon. Once again each cooked to perfection. I loved the broth- traditionally seafood broth, tomatoes, and enough coconut milk to smooth the flavors. Served with rice and a hot sauce on the side, which remained on the side as not to ruin the wine. Our starters of the house salad and beef empanadas were lovely, but dessert shined too. The not too sweet chocolate torte was excellent with the last sips of wine, and the expresso creme brulee had a perfect crust of crackly sugar.
I wish I could eat here more often, alas too far away. But hope to return and in the least will sent all my wine friends over.
Traveling with my husband. The restaurant was recommended and did not disappoint! Noise was limited which is important to me and I am grateful. Will definitely go back when in Paso in future. Wonderful bar tender!
We have enjoyed your restaurant several times when visiting the Paso area. Saturday nights food was just off. Service was great, food not so much. Grilled scallops were smothered in sauce and very unappetizing. Also, we would have preferred the seafood paella with grilled calamari instead of fried- just too heavy.
The pizza which is usually good, seemed gummy.
A big disappointment.
Outstanding food and service Dora the Paso vibe.
There just wasn't much on the menu that we found very exciting, I'm afraid. We settled for offerings that we thought would be hard to mess up and even those were mediocre. This place gets good reviews from others, however, so perhaps they were having an "off" night.
