Love this place! We had a concert next door @ The Moody Theatre and we forgot to print our tickets. So we asked our waiter of there was a manager onsite that could print the tickets for us... sure enough... THERE WAS!! He made it so easy for us to give him our information and in about 5 minutes we had our tickets printedout. WOW. Thats awesome customer service!! Thank you La Condesa! This is a must try place!!

Very fast service and the food was excellent and interesting. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. I'd recommend this to any visitor in Austin and to people who have been Austinites for years.

The food was delicious! The menu is limited though and should include a few more options. The brown sugar banana ice cream was amazing!

Menu seems small and pricey. Heartbroken the tortilla soup is no longer available. Our food was average with the exception of Mexican street corn but margaritas were superb!

Three people ordered three different meals and they were all a C at best. Bland, nothing exciting, just ok. Not what my past experiences have been. Very disappointing.

Was disappointed. Started with the guacamole and chips. Chips needed salt (no salt on the tables) and the guac at HEB has more taste ($12). Acapulco Ceviche was very good but only came with 2 crisps. Thankfully we ordered more bland chips. Bistec Asado was very good but was small for $25 and the $6 ear of street corn was tasty but portion size was laughable. Our cocktails weren't as cold as they should have been for the place being empty. Overall the service was friendly, but our waitress was not forthcoming with information for first time guests and seemed uninterested.

Maybe the place wasn't for me, but for a bill of $100, I'll try somewhere else next time.

We had a great waiter named Hugo. He was super helpful with what to order and what each item would be like(spicy, lots of flavor, etc). He also helped with drink selections (loved the margarita!). We loved getting a few items and sharing them among the table.

My second time to enjoy this restaurant. My clients son in law opened it a couple of years ago. When ever we go to Austin this is our first stop. After moving away from Houston I was nervous not to find another great margarita. Found it at La Condesa.😊

Overall the place seems in need of some refreshing... especially the restrooms which were in need of cleaning. The menu is tired, limited and the quality was ok but when compared to other eating options downtown, not at par.
Ate there because we were going to a concert at ACL, but will be trying other places next time.

The queso was not good, they gave you tons of tortillas but very little meat for taquitos to go in them, the fish I honestly do not think was branzino and if it was, we couldn't tell bc it was totally blackened and way over salted. We also ordered chocolate cake as it was our friend's birthday dinner but it just never arrived.

We did ask for the fish to be removed from the bill - it wasn't...and it took a long time to get the bill so we just paid for it and left. I get that they were very busy that night, but I really think the food quality should be better for the price.

It’s the third time we’ve visited La Condesa and we love it. The huitlacoche huarache was amazing. We had the coliflor a la plancha, Chiles rellenos, ceviche de mariscos, guacamole tasting, bistec asado and the elites. Loved everything. We will definitely be visiting again.

The tacos were very average. The walk up taco joints in town are much better tasting and half the price. The service was subpar, the waiter argued with us when he delivered the wrong drink. It's a cool place, but for price I'd go elsewhere.

Food was great and management really worked to keep the customer pleased. I was visiting Austin but only had a short time in the city, and this place kept coming up as a "must try" on travel blogs. It's right downtown and I was concerned parking might be a hassle - I was there on a Monday night and still no street parking close, but Austin seemed to have a fair number of easy to access parking garages at reasonable prices for weeknight parking. I arrived early for my reservation, but they seated me immediately and brought water. This is where things got a little strange - I waited almost 20 minutes before a server passed and asked if I had been helped. Saying no, she immediately took my order. Not a huge deal, I didn't have anywhere else to be that night. For the remainder of the evening, I had no less than 5 servers - not sure if they were being overly attentive or if that's just how things typically operate in their restaurant. They brought me a complimentary Mexican street corn for having to wait -appreciated and delicious. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and pork taquitos, also both incredibly good. When my bill came, they charged me for the street corn, which I thought was complimentary as I had even mentioned to the waiter that brought it to me, that I did not order it. When I questioned this, they immediately corrected the error plus comped my alcoholic drink and brought me a free dessert! Even though they sort dropped the ball on a couple things, they went above and beyond to try ensure my dining experience was great and I think that's very admirable.

It's been a while since I had been to this restaurant. Great location downtown. We had an early weeknight invitation. I highly recommend the snapper / taco...perfect. Probably one of the best fish tacos that I have had. I also ordered a side corn which was a bit rich and we had the trio of guacamole and chips which was pretty good.

I also tried my son's steak taco which was not-so-great. It was just a slice of cooked meat on a tortilla with cheese. Very challenging to eat because it just doesn't want to bend. Perhaps it would have been better to shred rather than I have sliced steak in one piece?
