La Comida - Addison serves Tex-Mex cuisine and is located within Prestonwood Place north of Dallas. The dcor and atmosphere is contemporary and comfortable. Happy hour specials make La Comida a suitable spot for afternoon drinks with coworkers and get-togethers with friends. Its catering and delivery services take the hassle out of planning special events outside of the restaurant.
La Comida serves lunch and dinner, as well as brunch. Get the day started with breakfast tacos, brisket migas or fajitas and eggs. Tex-Mex classics include popular entrees like enchiladas, crispy tacos, fajitas and tamales. A wide variety of signature sauces are also available. For dessert, enjoy flan or vanilla ice cream topped with coconut, pecans and chocolate.
Food was very good but the house margarita was watered down and not very good at all. The comidachanga was excellent.
The food at La Comida was really good across the board. However, I ordered a Top Shelf margarita on the rocks. What I got was a glass almost filled with tiny, almost shaved ice, rather than big ice cubes. The taste was very bland, and for a $12 margarita, I expected more. I couldn't even taste the tequila. I told the waiter about it, but he informed me that all their ice is of the tiny, shaved kind. Please, La Comida, switch the ice for your "on the rocks" drinks to large ice cubes. It makes a difference!
This place is always amazing! Great food, great drinks! Best mexican cuisine in addison! I think they have one of the best mexican martinis in town, and the rest of their drink menu is fantastic, haven't had one complaint yet!
Fantastic food, superior service and a fun, energetic atmosphere. This is our go-to for good authentic Mexican as well as Tex-Mex. this is a must try!
Went here for dinner on Saturday evening. The bar was hopping. The food was average. Had okay flavor but not a lot of spice. The hot sauce had a nice bite but the rest of the order was rather ordinary.
Everything was great from beginning to end. The food was amazing and their Pink Flamingo (alcohol drink) was a great hit! I would go back any day. We had shrimps taco, brisket taco, a steak stuffed with onions, bell peppers and mushrooms and their famous corn. Everything was finger licking good!
This is a favorite restaurant of ours that routinely makes our rotation. The food is always extremely fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend!
We love our Mexican food and this place did not disappoint! They have a good menu selection, swirl margaritas (my favorite) and service was efficient. Thanks to Ed, our server! We will be back! And the Christmas décor was a nice touch too!
This was our first visit but it won't be our last. The food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. Chips and white queso were amazing ....chimicomida was huge and terrific enchiladas. Huge portions so we will share next time.
I would recommend this place to so most people. This place pretty much friendly and kind except for the waiter we had. He never introduced himself to our table, he did not wait for anyone to place their drinks order and simply walked away. He only checked on us once and as soon as our plates were almost cleaned from food he brought out the check without asking if we needed anything else. We were there for food and drinks and after experiencing all that through the night we decided to have drinks elsewhere after our meal.
La Comida nicely accommodated our party of 6. With beautiful weather, we dined on the patio and had wonderful service, great food and drinks. Excellent hot sauce, which is an indication of the rest of the menu, and we were not disappointed. Be back soon!!
Fresh ingredients. Friendly wait staff. Outstanding enchiladas, elotes and tortas
Average Mexican food and overpriced. The music was way too loud and while the wait staff was friendly once you don't order alcoholic drinks they are scarce to return to your table.
Met some old friends there for dinner on a Friday night. Food was fantastic, Drinks were yummy and staff were all very friendly!! Great experience outside on the patio!!
I have been here about 6-7 times and it's usually great. This time the server ruined it for us.
Sydney was not very friendly and more importantly rushed us non stop through the meal Literally grabbed our plates while we were eating. It was ridiculous.
Not sure why we still tipped 20%. She was terrible.
Food and service were awesome. Margaritas were very very good. The appetizer menu was exceptional. We had 3 different apprtizers and each one was great!! Outside dining was very pleasant with no lapse in service. very impressive!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the nachos and cheese enchiladas but didn't like the rice or beans. Will order different sides next time.
Such a hidden gem in north Dallas. Blows Mi Cocina away on food and drinks.
Our waiter Benjamin was a gem! He was very attentive and took his time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. He helped to make our first visit a lovely experience.
We have dined here several times before. They do tend to take large group so sometime service is a little slower than we would like.
The people are nice friendly knowledgeable and the food is absolutely delicious we will keep this one on our list to go back!
Select food items and drinks are hit or miss. Love the Queso Blanco and Jefe de Jefes drink but the Fajita Nachos were dry and lacked flavor. Need to visit again for a final vote.
Interesting and slightly different dishes including vegetarian options. Only one complaint, otherwise all good! The sun came in the door and hit us in the face. I asked the waiter, and although he was extremely apologetic, there were no blinds.
The food was very good and the service attentive.
The noise level made it a little difficult to have a normal conversation.
the parking lot is undersized for the number of eateries, but once you find a spot...the food is always tasty adn teh coctails are refreshing
Monday Night June 22nd I came for my birthday dinner (party of 6, not an overwhelming amount) and it was terrible. I asked our waitress for recommendations on drinks and she let us know it was her 4th day so she did not know.
I ordered the cucumber margarita to start off with, it was ok, you couldn't really taste any alcohol and it was hard to drink out of the straw with the crushed ice. Not to mention she didn't check my ID (I was turning 24) or anyone in my groups IDs when we look rather young! Before our whole party was even there she asked if we wanted to order... maybe this is just a pet peeve of mine but I came to sit down and eat dinner with friends, not for a fast food in and out service.
When the rest of the party arrived it was almost impossible to get our waitresses attention. One person would order a drink and she would walk away so fast that no one else had a chance to get anything out. Two people at the table ordered house margaritas, they came without salt or lime... out of the 4 margaritas ordered at our table she only asked once if we wanted salt, the answer is almost always yes!
Next to order food .... until 3 our of the 6 plates we ordered came out incorrect. The food was OK at best, more taco bueno quality than a restaurant.
Another server came to refill our water since our waitress was slacking, great! a new waiter. He spilt the water over half the table and into our chips and walked away like nothing happened.
When we finally asked for our checks the waitress had to go through our table and ask what drinks we had ordered so she could ring them up, we could have lied and probably should have since the service was terrible and no one offered to comp anything. We were the terrible table that tipped according to the service we received, sorry!
I do not recommend La Comida and will be shocked if they do not close down soon, this shopping center deserves a higher quality restaurant.
The steak was just too tough. The drinks were just ok. Overall, the food was just ok. The service was fine. The atmosphere was fine. I did not find anything craveable on the menu. In fact, the menu reads very well, I think the quality of the ingredients and the quality of the preparation are causing the taste to suffer. When I spend $100 on dinner for two on Mexican food, there is a lot of competition, and I would definitely recommend taking your money somewhere that has better tasting food.
Agave Cooler is great - always fresh, clean and tasty. I've tried a different entree every time and so far, nothing dissapoints
Wednesday night at 8. Salsa was so salty it was almost inedible. Pico ordered to skip salsa. Cost $1.25 very average. Place pretty empty. Had no clue why it took 25 minutes to get food. It was also salty and very average. Beer was cold and waiter was nice. Manager seemed preoccupied with getting out if there and asked one table nearby how the food was and that was it for the night. Overall very disappointing.
La Comida is a definite find! The service was outstanding with our waiter, Ben! The food was very good although neither of us really enjoyed the chips which tasted of grease (old grease?). But the shrimp ceviche was very tasty, and my companion enjoyed her enchiladas and tamales! I will be back.
This place was okay... The drinks were pretty good, the tortilla soup was way too salty, the mahi was dry, but the drinks were pretty good.
The food is outstanding! Wonderful variety to choose from. Traditional Mexican cuisine or Tex-Mex. Everything is fresh and made to order including cocktails. Margaritas are the best. Fresh lime juice and agave syrup. Nothing artificial. Excellent Service. The owners are very passionate about their business and the quality they are providing.
We have been going to La Cominda since it opened, and we love it every time. They have a whole list of sauces & dips you can choose from, along with their house salsa. The service is great, and the owners are always around and very welcoming. They have a great drink list with cocktails that are hard to find in the U.S. If you are looking for a great Mexican meal, try La Comida. It's not your average tex-mex place so common around Dallas.
service was very slow, I asked for the same thing a few times until the waiter brought it to me. food was simple. I liked the chicken tacos!
Server was friendly and attentive. Queso was great. Would go back just for the queso! Chips were nothing special. Fellow diners said margaritas were good but I didn't have one. Entree was so-so. Would go back to try another entree and see if I like it better. I had the sour cream enchiladas.
All four of our entrees were delicious, we had a variety...beef, chicken, enchiladas. Hot sauce was great and loved all their different salas. Margaritas were tasty too! Service was very attentive. Overall in a word, delicious! We will be back!
I had a reservation for 20, which I changed to 10. When we got there, our table still wasn't ready. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for a table making the need for a reservation pointless.
The food was just okay. It took almost an hour to get our food. I ordered a half order of Carne Picada Nachos, six nacho chips covered with meat, cheese and beans for eight bucks; not happy about that. Others in my party said their food was "just okay"; nothing extraordinary. The drinks were strong, which was a plus.
We visited on a Saturday night and they were super busy, so the service left a little to be desired.
Overall, it was just an okay experience for us. We plan to go back when it's not so busy to see if we have a better experience.
Dinner was fine, we ordered a to go for our daughter at home , and 2 more margaritas while we waited. Good salsa, good food.
The first round of Margaritas were great. They made the wrong ones for the second round , they were the "skinny" ones...not good.
When we got home the to go order was all wrong...
We love the seletion of salsas and the variety of food. Mole was very good, nachos were large, etc.
Best of all is the forzen mojito (in addition to the usual frozen margarita offerings)
