La Collina Restaurant
Located just off the Schuylkill Expressway in Belmont Hills, La Collina boasts spectacular hilltop views. The bar offers a unique atmosphere with live entertainment and dancing on weekends. This gem is known as one of the most romantic restaurants on the Main Line.
La Collina specializes in fresh seafood and veal dishes. Its signature dish, Dover Sole, is a delicate, tasty fish that is uniquely grilled, and served tableside. In addition to our Dover Sole, our daily fresh-fish specials include Branzino, Norwegian Salmon, Pompano, Orata, soft-shell crabs, Langostina, and other delights from the sea, depending upon availability. We are also known for our veal sirloin, veal porterhouse, ossobuco, and chops.

Excellent food and excellent attentive service! Cannot wait to return!
We had dinner at La Collina at the start of our vacation in Philly and loved it so much that we ate there again on our last evening. The Dover sole is delicious, and they debone the fish at the table.Actually, all the meals we had are delicious and the service is exceptional. Thanks for the lovely experience, La Collina!
Not sure why this restaurant is so popular. Food is average and overpriced, wine list is average and overpriced. Best part of restaurant is the valet who amazingly shoehorns cars in to irregularly shaped parking lot
My husband and I came for our anniversary and were treated to the most delicious dinner and dessert we've had in a long time. We were seated in a cozy corner by the window, and right next to the live guitarist. It was perfect.
What a hidden gem! We were looking for a place to celebrate my daughters graduation and decided to go here. We were a party of 7 and from the onset the staff were very attentive but not hovering. We did appetizers for the table - eggplant rolotini, fried calamari and one other. All were excellent. The calamari was lightly breaded and cooked to a light golden perfection - not over done and chewy as so often is the case. There were a couple of salads ordered and the one that rated the best in the group was the Gorgonzola cheese one - out of this world. Everyone had a different entree and each was cooked perfectly. I had the Fra Diavlo with lobster and shrimp and there was.a perfect balance between the flavors and the heat. Often there’s so much spice it over powers the flavor of everything in the dish but not this one. One guest ordered the veal chop and it came out cooked to the proper temperature and was delicious. There were several deserts ordered and shared and the best was the peach sorbet that comes out INSIDE a hollowed out peach.
It was pretty busy when we arrived but the service flow from apps to salads to entree had a very nice rhythm to it. We didn’t wait long for drinks and they were very attentive for refills. Everything came out hot and together and we were never rushed.
It was an excellent overall experience. My only regret is we didn’t find this place 4 years ago when my daughter was a freshman.
Fantastic classis Philly Italian food in a local and very friendly upscale casual atmosphere
The food was delicious! It came out quickly & cooked perfectly! The service, which started out great, quickly went downhill. I had trouble getting my water filled, dirty dishes were left on our table & our server seemed more interested in chatting with another table than checking on us. I will give them another try in hopes that this was not the usual experience for the restaurant.
The food was absolutely outstanding! We had a party of 4, had mostly seafood and one veal dish. Each dish was better than the next! Will definitely return!!
Great location for a special occasion meal! Our graduation dinner was terrific!
We always enjoy dining at La Collina, food and service are always excellent. Unfortunately, the prices have risen to the point where we can only dine there for a very special occasion. The music at the bar was fun - it was great to hear live music again!
Love this Restaurant!
The food was good, nice ambiance and great service from Karmin.
Everything was excellent. Just excellent!
The food was amazing! I love that the restaurant was filled with Italian food lovers. The host & server were very helpful with recommendations. Amazing experience, we will definitely be back soon.
If you are looking for Good meal
Great value LaCollina is the perfect place
Food is good but nor great. Service traditional nice but not worm. Nothing special.
First time there, had a b'day dinner with my girl friend. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Service was awesome and they are very accommodating. Will be back definitely!
We found this as a recommendation from our hotel. Very lovely and attentive staff. Food delicious and authentic. a little pricey but worth it.
The food was delicious, Karmen was very attentive, it wasn't crowded, and we had a table for 2 a little off to the side. We'll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful dinner at LaCollina to celebrate our anniversary.
The food was exceptional, as was the service! Can't wait to go back again!
We had a very nice dinner with wonderful service. Everyone is very pleasant and seems to be happy there
Outstanding! As always
I've been wanting to try this since moving to the area years ago, and finally did! I was very impressed with the overall experience and would definitely return for a special occasion.
Our food was excellent, though some portions were a bit on the lighter side. Everything is a la carte, so it's not a cheap date by any means.
Our server was good, not the finest in the room but the Maitre' D was outstanding and stepped in a few times. I loved the classic style of service and ambiance - the sweeping views overlooking Manayunk and Roxborough with Center City afar are a nice bonus. I'd definitely like to try the bar - the Maitre' D talked about some great music they feature on weekends.
A special occasion - this is the place!
The evening was very enjoyable. The staff is very accomdating and the food was marvelous as always. I forgot I put it was a birthday celebration when I scheduled the reservation but they didn't. Surprised the birthday boy with a cake, candle, and a song.
Food is excellent. Menu is terrific, Service is outstanding. I highly recommend.
All four of us thought the waiter, Carmen, was rude, arrogant, and disrespectful. We would not want him as a waiter ever again. His poor service spoiled our dinner outing.
Always a great experience. Delicious Italian food. Great service. Our favorite date night spot.
Always a great meal and friendly staff. Celebrated our wedding anniversary and (as always) La Collina did not let us down.
Our first time here- hopefully not our last! Our server Cheryl was incredible. Her suggestions were wonderful! We enjoyed the orata fish special and the New York strip special- both were perfect. Salads, cocktails and carrot cake were also wonderful. What a special place. We left happy and impressed.
Loved the Softshell crab special app and the veal chop. Desserts were seriously lacking: dry, not a palatable texture (Apple cake and creme caramel).
Hosts (valets) were very friendly and helpful with getting our check at the end of the meal (and also had to do double duty to clear our table). Our server was not very outgoing and we did not see him the majority of the evening. A second helper server even served our meals. Would have been nice for our server to come back and ask if everything was cooked to order (he did not). Overall, the atmosphere was nice, and I enjoyed my meal (veal chop); another guest dining with me had the dover sole and did not care for the simple preparation--would have liked more of a sauce. I would go back but hope we get a more attentive server to make for a more well rounded overall experience. If the hosts seem like they would be excellent servers: outgoing and attentive!
octopus and Gnocchi were excellent. I dont normally like Malbec wine, but the Malbec from family vineyard was very good.
Perfect service and delicious authentic Italian cuisine!
Always an enjoyable experience. Consistent, great food, good value. Don't let feeling of old or classic scare you away from experiencing and enjoying. The crowd has definitely changed over the years lending to the experience for all ages to enjoy. Love the flat fee dessert cart. Wish they would bring back more for the peppers, cheese, olives, starter plate - especially be more generous for a group. Other than that, always kindly welcomed, courteous service and help from all staff.
The food was delicious and our waitress was very nice but the restaurant was very quiet. Almost awkward...
Lovely local gem! We are there last weekend for the first time, and will definitely return. The food was really good,
And the service was top-notch, without being stuffy!
Service was quick as we were there early but the food was just ok. We ordered Tiramisu only to find out they were sold out because someone just came in and bought all of it?? Strange. Just disappointed in the amount we paid compared to the quality of food. Might go back to see if it was just an off day.
A bit pricey for pasta, but good food and nice wait staff.
So happy to have been back at La Collina for a lovely evening. Looking forward to future dinners at this fine restaurant.
Went for Easter dinner. No disappointment here. Great food, great friendly staff. A great place to go for any occasion.
First time here. Great service, delicious meals and quiet environment. Highly recommend!!
