We tried the following menu options
- Baby Octopus stew in a spicy Tomato Sauce
- Fresh Spaghetti Spicy Oil Garlic Cured Fish Roe
- Fresh Spaghetti Plum Tomatoes Onions Saffron Fiore Sardo Dop
All of them were amazing as always! Authentic, flavorful and textured pasta/spaghetti options
Very unique Sardinian Italian food with a spectacular Italian wine list. Really one of the very best restaurants in the city and the country.
Super, as usual!
Fabulous restaurant, run by a fabulous couple! Food was amazing and win recommendations by the course were perfect.
Excellent restaurant. One of my very favourite Italian (Sardinian!) in the city
Excelente comida atención insuperable
Good for dates if you are looking for cozy and comfortable nights while enjoying amazing food and wine
Very good food, very fresh and hot. Tables are a bit too close. Overall will try again.
Always exceeds expectations through authentic cooking and genuine service.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in SF, period!
The spot is at the end of Church at the far end of Noe Valley.
The restaurant is constantly packed and you'll do well to get a reservation here. In fact, I'd imagine it'd be impossible to get a drop in here.
The highlights, of course, were the squid and we also had some risotto which was exquisite. This night an off-menu item was a suckling pig in a delicious sauce.
They really know what they're doing here at this Sardinian restaurant and you can plainly see by all the business they get. It's well deserved!
The food is delicious. Loved the spaghetti with fish roe!
Very welcome and service. Classic neighborhood restaurant atmosphere, close tables, rather outdated but decent setting. Three dishes out of four absolutely delicious (mushroom pasta, boutargue pasta, branzino) and the other completely missed (floury inedible shrimp for more than half and too much butter sauce, vegetables too salty). Two primi, two secondi, a dessert and a bottle of wine at $ 65, the total bill goes up to $ 212 without service. It is much too expensive compared to the plate and the frame. Too bad because we would have liked to recommend this restaurant.
Filling heartwarming food. Everything was good. Fast service also.
The food is quite excellent and a pretty decent price for the quality. This time our service was fair. Our server suggested that we get too many dishes, and even some with overlapping flavors/ingredients, which we were not pleased about. He did not come back to ask us how everything was either. Overall I would go back but ensure that we are served by a different server.
I love this place, every time. The food and wine are wonderful. It always feels like a special occasion eating here.
Amazing food choices beautifully created and presented - we will definitely return
The place is small and you may feel cramped, but the food is really good. Worth the trip. If driving, leave enough time for parking.
Wonderfully fresh and delicate food. Attentive hosts and servers. Crowded (it was only Wednesday).
Good food. I think that the pastas are over sauces to adapt to American taste, which is a pity
We were there for Valentines Day . Our dinner was soooo delicious. Our waiter was wonderful and explained the menu to us and answered all our questions. The owner was kind and personable we will definitely come back again and tell our friends.
Hands down the best food in San Francisco imo.
The spicy tomato octopus stew is absolutely amazing!
This restaurant is a gem. It is always superb and the staff is warm and welcoming.
Always amazing food and service. La Ciccia never disappoints!
Excellent service and the food is fresh, full of flavor and not too salty.
Best pasta I’ve eaten in San Fran - believe me, I’ve eaten pasta in many restaurants here!
Amazing food, a real family run restaurant cooking with the best ingredients. We go back all the time and we cannot get enough. Our favorite restaurant in San Francisco.
Great, as always! Love the pasta. Grilled calamari and white anchovies for starters delicious too. Great wine recommendation from our server.
This restaurant is a classic. Food both hearty and subtle. Extensive menu of Sardinian specialties. Gracious and knowledgeable hosts. Service attentive but not fussy.
Great as always
My husband and I love this restaurant, and we love to share it with our friends. The prosciutto with the Sardinian flatbread was amazing — a perfect starter. The special pasta was delicious. And the wine list is without peer for Italian wines. The servers are so knowledgeable about the wines. As a result, we’ve never been disappointed by a wine. I can’t wait to return!
They only serve beer and wine. I recommend the rosemary bread!
Very unique Italian food, influenced by Sardinian cuisine. Friendly staff. Cute little spot in Noe. Parking can be tough, so plan ahead/leave time.
Solid food raider average at best Ambiance was good I would definitely go back. Wish the waiter took more control over Recommending food suggestions
Simply one of the best Italian restaurants in the US.
I will always recommend La Ciccia to ANYONE. We are fairly regular customers, going 3-4 times a year for the last 10 years. Lorella, the co-owner and Hostess always treats her customers as they were family. We are always remembered each time we visit. This includes our favorite table and favorite wine. They always remember our favorite wine. If they don't have it, they will recommend a wine very similar to our preferred. In this visit, the wine recommended EXCEEDED the one we had always preferred - so this is now our favorite.
As usual the food and service were superb. A new special appetizer of gnocchi was offered which was absolutely stunning n its flavor and texture. Massimo, the head chef and co-owner, is absolutely spectacular, especially with what he does with lamb.
Cannot recommend La Ciccia highly enough.
Great environment and great food and experience.
Max and Lorella are the perfect hosts!!
Returned with friends from Wisconsin, and they were most impressed! This in my neighborhood, and I return here and every time, it's just perfect.
Cozy & intimate. Waiter was so helpful & charming. Sea Urchin pasta & octopus stew were so delish! Pretty generous portions for entrees - we had to take some home.
Never ceases to amaze. Had an amazing meal here. Can't wait to go back.
Best place I’ve eaten in a long time. The service was incredible. The people were the nicest. It was an all around cozy and delicious experience. For the price we got a ton of food. If you miss out on this shame on you.
