Always my distinct pleasure to be hosted by Massimo's and Lorella. The food and wine are a little better than excellent.

Thank you for your Support and Generosity!! Mille Grazie
Expected more from the food. The menu offers a challenge for anyone with simple palette. Not a lot of straight forward food to choose.
We started with salad and baked calamari, salad was great but the calamari is an acquired taste because it is baked in its own juices and presentation is more European in style. It is whole body with head, soft with mushy texture, an acquired taste for sure.
Next we shared the ravioli special which was to heavy and drown in sauce. For main we had what was described as suckling pig but was more stewed pork in heavy tomato sauce.
If you have refined taste it’s not for you.
Thank you for joining us for dinner, sorry we are not refined enough for your taste, but, we are a traditional Sardinian restaurant, traditional regional cuisine have not room for compromise, we promote the food and culture of our land and the dishes and recipes that represent our people and that is what distinguished La Ciccia from the rest of the other Restaurants in this Country for the past 15 years. Sorry again if we are not what you think we should be. Thank you again for your support !!!
They have added tables to their back yard patio. It was lovely dining out under the trees in a casual and intimate environment. Wish that I had found out about the backyard dining sooner. We missed out on eating at one of our favorite restaurants all summer and most of the fall.
Thank you for your support. Mille Grazie
Delicious, unique, comfortable
Outdoor eating area was great. Calamari appetizer was delicious!
Phenomenal Sardinian food, as always - this place is still a gem.
The food was good, not extraordinary, I appreciate the pasta was fresh. The service was great! They do not accept Amex thought.
Singularly wonderful food, especially for those who love the flavor of seafood. They are also very careful about COVID.
Amazing food, good service, priced well. Makes for a great date night or celebration.
Too expensive. A beautiful location, the outdoor seating is lovely...but too expensive.
Amazing food and very friendly staff.
Excellent. The best restaurant in San Francisco. Always outstanding!
Fusili pasta continues to be outstanding, as is the service
Great food and good service. Inside is noisy and crowded. We ate in garden. Bring a jacket. Pasta here is exceptional but no dish missed the mark. This is a great place to dine for the food alone. Wine list is extensive and reasonably priced.
La Ciccia continues to create an atmosphere that is both intimate, and full of energy, as you watch the owners and experienced staff work thoughtfully to ensure all guests are well cared for, while serving outstanding Sardinian cuisine. We ordered the monterey calamari, the octupus salad, grilled prawns, and more traditional lamb, beef, ricotta raviolo. Everything was delicious. The portions are adequate so you feel you are getting a great value with your amazing experience!
Remains a favorite, wine recommendation was superb.
Really top class Italian eatery! Not your average gin-joint for sure....
Excellent food and service as always. Outdoor patio is comfortable. A very pleasant dining experience!
Octopus stew and burrata were my favorites! The uni pasta was a win, too. I would skip the prawns… not worth $30 IMO
I found this beloved restaurant of years past to be highly disappointing. The food was fine. But the service and the ambiance was really off. I appreciate the circumstances that restaurants operate under but I wonder if it’s worth opening the dining room at all if the experience for the diners ends up being so underwhelming. Our waiter was cold and disgruntled and forgot to bring our orders of wine- twice. There aren’t that many tables. It almost felt deliberate? The room was so bright! This restaurant once was so warm and intimate, almost nurturing. This Saturday it just felt very off. I know la ciccia can do better.
Good food. I found tables a bit too close together and too small plus hard chairs. I prefer a padded chair and more privacy. Portions not huge. Not too much warmth nor ambience. I like a visually warmer Italian restaurant with some soft ethnic music in background.
Fantasy food, excellent service.
The appetizer special which was an octopus salad was great and the uni pasta was my favorite.
This is a lovely neighborhood family run business. The wine selection is also fantastic.
One of the best restaurants not only in the city, but on the planet.
Amazing, authentic, delicious food. We ate outside in their backyard which was lovely. Wines and desserts are equally excellent.
Beautiful restaurant. Discreet but well timed service and really tasty food. We loved it.
We were disappointed. Everything was over cooked. I was hoping for a better experience!
food is excellent. no short cuts. Incredible wine list that is reasonably price. Waiter was knowledgeable about the food and wines.
The bread was a weak part of the meal- an uninteresting white bread.
Otherwise, a pleasant meal.
Incredible food and ambiance, can’t wait to come back. Felt transported to Italy.
Always an amazing experience. Food is excellent. Service is warm and genuine. Great wine selection.
Food was fantastic!
So delicious. I had the uni pasta and whoa, so much flavor. My partner and I had a lovely dinner. Thank you for taking care of us.
Authentic italian food. Superb!
