Great Evening, Great Service and Great Food!!!
The evening that we dined here, the kitchen was extremely slow. Our waiter did keep us apprised, which we appreciated. Although the food is good, portions are extremely small, even for small plates. Nine tiny gnocchi are not worth $22.00.
Nice atmosphere and great food, the perfect combination
Amazing food - we had a reservation, don’t go here without one as it is very busy on a Saturday! Great service that wasn’t overbearing. We weren’t rushed out when we finished, even though it was near closing time. Will definitely return!
It's been quite a while since I've been so satisfied with a restaurant, from every aspect. We had a group of 8 (ages from 20 to 68) and requested a quiet seating; as it was Thursday and early so they sat us in the bar area, we were almost the only diners (everyone else was in the dining area the back). Each of us had a a different entrée, each raved about what they ordered: duck, rib-eye, scallops, salmon, all with distinctive and wonderfully paired sauces to accompany. I'm a wine enthusiast and the wine advice was excellent as well.
I'll be looking for an occasion to return!
Dinner for New Years Eve. The restaurant was very crowded but the staff was great and the food was excellent. This was not our first visit. We’ve had nothing but great meals/experiences each time we’ve been.
Love the meal we had, the interaction with this service, and an outstanding bar. Top-notch! Tops in my book
The restaurant was not equipped, particularly with respect to the quality of the entrees offered, to manage the reasonable expectations of a New Year’s Eve celebratory event.
Love to eat at La Chasse. The staff are excellent and the food is delicious.
Knowledgeable, personable & helpful service, delicious food with complex flavors and brilliant combinations but not heavy, a good value
La Chasse is hands down on of the top 2 restaurants in Louisville. I would have to make up anything negative about this restaurant. Great for an evening out or a special occasion. I would like to keep it a secret but I think the word is out.
We had an excellent dinner. Great food, service, and cocktails. Will certainly recommend
First time there, friendly staff and great food. Very good bourbon selection and good beer.
We have always enjoyed the food and friendly, knowledgable service here. One of Louisville's quiet finds for wonderful dining.
My meal at LaChasse the other evening was outstanding. Perfectly done... excellent flavor... absolutely perfect. That has been the experience every time I've eaten there.
Highly recommend the octopus, scallops, gnocchi, and the brownie dessert.
La Chasse has excellent cocktails, wine, food, and service. Isaac and the team always do a fantastic job. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough!
Mother Daughter date...excellent!
Everything would be five stars except for the incredible noise. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us. They say that they are working on improving.
LOUD. VERY LOUD. EXTREMELY LOUD.
But good food. Return? Would have to be convinced that the restaurant would only be half full.
The food was average. We had a great time though. Fun atmosphere in Bardstown Rd Aglow night.
We generally enjoy this restaurant but last night was off. We were initially seated in a nearly empty restaurant by the kitchen doors- which are very squeaky. Request to be moved accommodated. Service somewhat inattentive- no chance to order more wine, it took several minutes to get a fork after food arrived. Filet special inadequately salted with no sear and mashed potatoes cold. No opportunity to address with server. We like this place but last night was not a good showing.
Coffee machine was down through the entire time we were there. Food was served quickly, but was just okay. Verging on too trendy and losing the basic flavors of the main dish. Have tried it several times—probably won’t go back.
Always a fantastic evening! The food and personal service is always on point.
We are regulars, but last night was amazing. The chicken livers were tasty with garnishes that cut the heaviness of the livers. It was very good. The kale salad was maybe the best I’ve ever had. They have a “new” New York strip with a unique seasoning. It competes for my “best strip ever”.
We were a bit concerned when we returned to La Chaisse since it was the first visit since Chef Tina has assumed control of the kitchen. Her predecessor was gifted. Could she maintain the restaurant's exceptional quality? The answer after our visit last week is a resounding YES.
Every element of our visit was great. Our appetizers of charred octopus was fabulous as was the special salad of the night. Entrees were equally great. We had the iron skillet pork chop and a seafood special with a myriad of seafood including shrimp, scallops and salmon. Yum. Dessert was a shared plum cobbler that was tasty.
Service was excellent. Oddly, our only potential complaint was the portions were too large. but that is the type of issue one can smile about. We left stuffed and happy...ready to return in the near future.
I have dined at La Chasse many, many times and I'm never disappointed. Food and drinks are always spot on. I highly recommend dining there as this really is a hidden gem. Quality, quality and more quality!
It was good. We got an appetizer that was a daily special of fried green tomatoes with some bacon that was both and flavorful. It was quite magical. For our entrees, my fiancée got the wood smoked salmon, and I got the herb encrusted New York Strip. Salmon isn’t her favorite fish, but she can’t have dairy, and doesn’t like some of the other main dishes. So while she enjoyed it, it wasn’t her favorite. For me, I enjoyed the steak. But I felt the steak had too much fat, and that all of seasonings kind of took away from the actual flavor of the steak. I wouldn’t get the steak again, but I would go to La Chassie again.
Also they have an open kitchen, I we could hear the chefs cussing. Which I thought was a bit unprofessional.
I had great expectations. We typically go to Jack Fry's. But a friend who really loves great food suggested La Chasse. We were game. The service was very slow. It took forever to get our initial cocktails. We had to ask three times. The empanada appetizer was served cold. Then they got literally every dish wrong. It was so noisy we defaulted to lip-reading and semaphore flags to communicate. The food was just okay. The price tag was steep. Very steep. It was the perfect storm of diner dismay. We had Jack Fry regret.
La Chasse has a very creative menu and something for everyone. Everything is delicious!
Great meal!! Just did lots of bar food and cocktails!!! Amazing!
Food and service was good but it was SO loud that we did not enjoy the evening. Will not go back.
One of the best restaurants in Louisville. The chef knocks it out of the park every time! The Sweetbreads are the best I have ever had. The entree's were amazing. Everyone at our table ordered something different and we could nto decide who ordered the best item as they were all five stars! The cocktails were unique and just as amazing as the food, I wanted to try every one. We will keep coming back for more!!
Our server Mike did an excellent job explaining items on the menu and specials. He certainly helped make the experience great. The Mussel App was phenomenal along with the Salmon and the Trout Special. The Vieux Carre cocktail is very good as well.
Would have given this restaurant 5 stars but the noise level is horrible. Couldn't hear the waiter and couldn't hear the people at our table. Maybe it's better on a week night when they're not so busy. The food and service were great.
First time diners here on a busy Friday night. Service - overly attentive at times with the meal arriving so late we were gifted dessert and drinks. The food is inspired and quite delicious
Excellent food. Busy place. On the louder side, but very attentive service and yummy meal. Very solid wine list, with reasonable value.
