Stephanie was great with service. The NY Strip was awesome. Love this restaurant!
We had a great dinner at La Chasse last night. The room is nicely decorated; the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Both Isaac, the owner, and our waiter, Michael, made us welcome from the moment we came in until closing. We took our time! We started with cocktails from their extensive drinks menu. All four were well made and beautifully presented. The appetizers were great. The chef has a different "whim" for mussels every night. Ours were slightly spicy, and meaty, and tender. Three of us ordered meats (steaks, lamb) and all were perfectly prepared to the temperature ordered. The rabbit cassoulet was great, and the wine Michael recommended was spot on for our order. The desserts are clearly made in house, well conceived, and perfectly prepared. They have a nice selection of after dinner drinks, too. A fantastic dinner! Next time we're in Louisville, we'll be back to La Chasse.
Absolutely love the food( never been disappointed). The new fall menu is great. We loved the salmon entree , chicken liver, and melt in your mouth oyster apps. Very Cody atmosphere
Always a great meal from Isaac and his team. Always look forward to what the new seasonal menu will feature. Never disappoints.
We went for an anniversary. Beautiful room, great service. Extensive wine list and beverage selection. The cocktails were perfect. Appetizers were high-style and thoughtful. Our only issue was that the entrees were both a bit tired, underseasoned, and room-temperature. Also, the chocolate dessert had been in the fridge a bit too long and had become gummy. All in all, a great celebration for us.
Great restaurant as it is always. Menu is a little pricier than before
Excellent food and our server did a good job. Just slow delivery and long wait time to get our food which I know is the kitchen's fault and not the server's.
This is our go-to date night spot. You can dress up or down. It can be blue jeans, pre-theater or stand alone special occasion. It always shines with awesome cuisine, an emphasis on local/seasonal and grounded in classic French technique
Excellent food. Fresh and seasonal. Cocktails were very tasty. Service was great
Still good, just not as good as the last time. Food was decent service was slow. Service was at 7:30. Didn't get or check until 9:30. Overall still a good restaurant. I think they just had an off night.
If you love good food you can’t go wrong at La Chasse. Everything we had from appetizers to salads to main course were consistently good.
Our experience started off a little negative with being sat all the way in the back of the room at the last table next to the swinging kitchen door..hmm we were puzzled by this as we had made a reservation and there were plenty of open tables throughout the restaurant (as well as throughout the time we were there) my husband asked to be moved and we were quickly taken to another table. This back table would be best kept as a last resort seating option. Not for patrons with reservations.
The food and service made up for our not so great first impression.
This is my favorite place in Louisville! The service is always top notch and the owner, Issac, is always thankful for the visit. The food and atmosphere makes this the perfect place for work dinners, girls night out or a romantic meal.
Very cozy, high end restaurant. Great for a special occasion, amazing French food and exceptional cocktails.
Wait staff was one person as you can imagine slow due to the dining guests filling tables. 11mins to get first drink. The food is overpriced for the quality. Quail consisted of two very small birds mostly bones.
Doubt we will return with the plethora of competition in Louisville.
Fantastic as always ❤️❤️❤️
I have dined at La Chasse several times and am always pleased with the service and the food. Congratulations and wishes for continued success
The new fall menu is wonderful. There is an excellent variety of entrees. My group all had different dishes and everyone was very happy. The cocktails are some of the best in the city! And finally, the cornbread pudding dessert is amazing.
Overall a good place for special occasions or if you are really into cocktails and wine. The crab cake appetizer was very good, the best I’ve had but I would knock a couple bucks off. The Ny Strip steak is very good size for the price and the sides are good with it. I got the scallops and a couple bites of the seared part had a slight metallic taste. They were soft and had lots of flavor but two or theee bites had that funky taste. The lentils were interesting and a very different way of doing those. Labneh was pointless on the dish and did not complement well. Desert was alright but I wouldn’t pay 11 dollars for a creme brûlée I could pick up at Whole Foods for half the price. And no soufflé (which they previously had) which was a big reason we came. Service was fantastic and everyone was very knowledgeable and welcoming and kind. Not worth the price in my opinion. Not to say it’s not good but I believe it to be slightly overpriced.
Excellent restaurant, one of our favorites! Despite the growing restaurant scene in Louisville we still end up here often. Get on the email list, they have great dinners frequently
The new Fall menu is a must try. Chef Tina is very creative with her menu and everyone's meal was delicious. Go check out!
We loved everything about La Chasse, the food was delicious. The cheese board was wonderful along with featured wine. Noise is usually a problem in most restaurants but not at La Chasse. We will return!
Our first time at La Chasse was great. The cocktail menu is extensive, which made it hard to choose. The dinner menu had plenty of delicious options and the specials sounded amazing. We will be back!
Both the maitre d and waiter were aware of our celebrating our anniversary, as we had indicated in our reservation, and congratulated us. The waiter made a good, reasonably-priced wine selection that suited our tastes. My wife's short ribs and my salmon were both excellent. A complementary cheesecake was also delicious. The pacing was very good and the noise reasonable, though it was getting louder as we left. We intentionally made an early reservation as recommended by others to avoid excessive noise from a full house reflected off the hard surfaces. Seating times up thru 5:45 pm, our time, are rewarded with 1,000 Open Table points! Though parking is prohibited on Bardstown Road prior to 6 pm, M-F, parking is available in the rear and on the nearby side street.
I got the duck breast special. Very good. This place handed our party really well, despite the fact that we had an infant and a toddler.
The food at La Chasse is truly outstanding. I’ve been many times and never been disappointed. Last night was one of the best meals I’ve had — all 4 of us agreed. We had the special lamb and feta meatballs on pea risotto and the snapper on spaghetti squash with pesto aeoli. The special Mediterranean kale salad was also awesome. And one of our favorites is the charred octopus appetizer. They also have a phenomenal and original cocktail menu. Again, all in all, it was truly delicious. The only downsides are that it can be loud, and it’s expensive — but then again, it’s excellent. Most of the waitstaff is also excellent; service was a little slow last night.
Food was good server was friendly and attentive. We plan to go back next time we come to town.
Food was large portioned and very good. Ambiance was great, however the service not the best we’ve had. Will visit again
Delicious family dinner for my hubby's bday! Everything we ordered was so delicious & cooked to perfection! From the crab cake appetizers, to the red ruby trout special with mussels, shrimp & scallops in a white wine sauce, and lamb and feta meatballs to the desserts - creme brulee, coconut ice cream and chocolate mousse! Excellent service, too. We'll be back!!!
Music was a good choice. Room tends to be a bit noisy. Our table was in the traffic pattern of the kitchen and a bit busy. Wait staff should learn to "make haste slowly", i.e. DO NOT BUSTLE. To walk from one end of the room to the other at top speed takes about 10 seconds. To "amble" takes about 25 seconds. What's the difference? The comfort of the diners you pass.
The salmon was good and the wine reasonable. Waiter was competent. Table position was not the best.
Every visit to La Chasse has been a good one. The food and service is always very good. Their new cocktails are also really good (quite an extensive list). The one thing that I don't like is the noise level. The server is always difficult to hear. I kind of wish they would just put the specials on a printed sheet and have one at each table. The server going through all of the ingredients and other things just feels contrived and unnecessary. Plus, it takes a considerable amount of time while other tables are waiting. And as a vegetarian, I don't need to hear about the meat entrees or what the mussels are like.
Also, if there were a few more vegetarian options, that would be fabulous!
Along with Artesano, the best in town. Amazing cocktails, intriguing wines by the glass and magnificent food!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville. The food is inventive and delicious and the beverages program is outstanding. My favorite place to meet friends!
Service was prompt and efficient; the Kentucky Fried Rabbit was incredible! We will definitely return!
Just one of our favorite small Louisville bistros. Never disappoints!!
The food here was worth noting. Definitely a good meal. It was a pretty quiet evening when we were there. All around tops. The only thing to consider is they kept it really, really cold. They said it was because they had anticipated more people. But it might be good to have an extra layer with you when you go. Definitely recommend!
Always my go-to when i have someone in town who appreciates a good meal. We shared a bunch of stuff at our table and everyone loved everything. Excellent value for the caliber of cuisine.
Great locally owned business
Got emails before going and liked the communications
Was happily greeted by owner and staff
Perfect for stoppjng for a fun unique drink mixes at the bar with a bite
Or a sit down nice meal following French and Mediterranean flair which I think is evolving and will make me come back
Intimate setting nice music
Farm to table and unique ingredients
Staff was very warm and seemed to work well together and all bent over backwards
My boyfriend and I went on a Wednesday night around 8pm. Not too busy at all, our server was very attentive and polite. I had the salmon, it’s was delicious! My boyfriend had the New York strip and was very surprised at how large the portion was! Overall the food was amazing and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend the octopus for an appetizer.
Outstanding service, wonderful tasty food - a 5 Star experience!
we had a great meal - first visit to la chasse. we had drinks and a light meal at the bar. it was a bit noisy and at times we had a little trouble getting the attention of the bartender - but overall very pleased - we will be back for sure.
