My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic meal and our server, Michael, was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. The appetizers, escargot for my wife and fried veal liver for me, were delicious and the portions very large. I was so full from my appetizer and complimentary bread & oil I hardly touched my scallops. They were excellent as well.
Waitstaff are clearly well-trained and the scallops were excellent. Bread with olive oil and roasted garlic is a nice touch.
Do not miss the charred octopus. It is expertly prepared. Everything was delicious, but the octopus is next level!
We had a lovely meal at Le Chasse. The food was great, the service was great and the environment was comfortable. We had a early dinner, 5:00, so the restaurant was very quiet. Not so sure it would be quiet what it's full. It was the best gnocchi i've ever had.
I don't like talking reviews to much...........all I can say is WOW, the food was absolutely delicious and we'll be back for more!!!
An exceptional meal, presentation and service. As fine as Louisville has to offer
The food was amazing. Topped off with dessert and French pressed coffee. Perfect. Cozy atmosphere
Wedding anniversary. Very quaint atmosphere. Good cocktails. I love the bread & olive oil. The halibut was too salty. The filet & vegetables were very good. Friendly waiter.
I’ve been here twice in about two months now and every plate ordered has been spectacular. The appetizers are wonderful, particularly the mussels which change day to day and you will likely need to order extra bread to sop up the delicious sauces. Save some room for dessert though as the pot de creme is simply spectacular.
We always enjoy a fantastic meal at La Chasse no matter the occasion or what we choose to eat. This last visit, my wife and I sat at the bar and ordered mostly apps and small plates. We always get the octopus as it's one of the best we've had anywhere. The mussels preparation that night (tomato broth and leeks) was so good we ordered a second. The slider du jour (prime filet, avocado cream and candied jalapeno) with gnocchi tots (on a bed of ratatouille) were also wonderful. The cocktail list is exceptional, but my wife doesn't like gin or bourbon. So, Hunter, the bartender, made her a vodka cocktail that was not on the menu, and she's raved about it to everyone we've seen since. If you like bourbon, the Maple Old Fashioned should not be missed.
My wife and I had an excellent time. The food was amazing and the staff was great. They took time to talk is through the whole meal and make great recommendations. I can't wait to go again.
I highly recommend La Chasse. The food and service are exceptional.
Food and service were top notch, however I do wish they would enforce the dress code, I don’t like seeing a mans feet wearing sandals when I’m dining in a upscale restaurant, and several people were wearing jeans.
Food and cocktails were excellent zero complaints there. Place is small and intimate so not ideal for larger groups in my opinion. But I had a great dinner and will definitely be back.
Excellent - which is exactly what we anticipate every time. Never disappointed!
We had dinner reservations to take our friends out to their upcoming wedding. The place was so noisy we could not even talk w them. We had to move outside. We ordered salads, that were tasty but so small. Each salad was about 5 bites, it was our friends first time, they were not impressed. We were embarrassed that we chose the restaurant. It was very disappointing.
We always enjoy an evening at La Chasse in the Highlands. Isaac, the owner, has created a lovely dining experience with interesting food from an outstanding chef, great service and personal attention to every detail. No wonder more and more Louisvillians are discovering La Chasse. You are doing it right. Looking forward to our next visit!
Food and cocktails rated above five stars—really top notch. Nice ambiance, a little loud but not like most restaurants these days. The only glitch was that our server, who was admittedly attentive to us, seemed to have a chip on his shoulder toward the bartender and chef which was really uncomfortable. He comped our first cocktails because they took awhile to come out—much appreciated— but we didn’t need to hear about how angry he was about it, or be reminded repeatedly about the freebies. When our food arrived I was asked to immediately cut into my steak to be sure it was properly cooked, because ‘if it was underdone he was really gonna let the chef have it...’ Will we go back? Absolutely, but will hope for a more contented server!
We were impressed at every course eaten. So much so, that we spent a fair amount of time trying to work out when we could return with friends. Great food and superlative service. Thank you all for a wonderful night out.
First time to have Patrick and he was very good! As always - excellent food and service.
Great food and atmosphere.
We were pleasantly surprised by La Chasse, which we chose for a meal when we stopped in Louisville for the night on a drive from Chicago to Atlanta. The food and wine were very good. It's a great little neighborhood restaurant that we'd visit again in a heartbeat.
It was our first visit to La Chasse, celebrating my wife's birthday. Our waiter, Patrick was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. It wasn't overly crowded when we arrived, but he got slammed shortly after we were seated. After a bit of a wait he returned to our table and apologized for the delays. From what I could tell he was covering about half of the tables in the restaurant, so the delay was understandable. We really weren't in a hurry so it was no big deal. My wife had the scallops and I chose the fish special which was swordfish. Both were delicious. It appeared as if the kitchen got backed up, although we really hadn't noticed, and when our entrees were served the owner came by our table to apologize for our wait. We appreciated his concern and his offer of a complementary drink for our delay. His concern was genuine and we urge everyone to give this spot a try. We'll definitely return.
It is always amazing!
The staff pretended to know an awful lot about gluten-free options. They even went as far to say that my orzo pasta was gluten-free. Good grief.
We had a great post Derby meal at La Chasse. Mike took excellent care of our group. Our reservation was for 8:30 but we were a little late due to the time it took to get out of Churchill downs. The staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed several dishes and can't say enough great things about the service. We would definitely return.
One of our favorite restaurants in Louisville. Always great service. Food is delicious.
This was an amazing place to celebrate completing my Master’s degree. I was so thankful that the chef was willing to accommodate my lactose-intolerance by creating a custom middle order. That was the best middle broth both my husband made myself have ever had. You should include it in your repertoire, or even consider it as a soup base. We order more bread just so we could enjoy every last drop! Thank you for making my night so special.
We were celebrating our anniversary here and it was NOT a good experience. My husband ordered escargot and they were tough as rubber. I ordered fried oysters AND a Ceasar salad and was served fried oysters over the salad. The lettuce was old, limp and not much of it. My husband had the rabbit and it was overdone. This was our second time dining here but we have no reason to return.
Food was ok but a bit pricey for what was presented. Good wait staff Good wine menu Noise level makes it difficult to carry on a conversation. If you’re looking for intimacy and soft music don’t. Go there
A great escape from our own kitchen and routine. The filet was supreme.
Our waiter was excellent.
We had a great time. We were not rushed. The food was wonderful
The waiter was so knowledgeable about the food and the menu. That was very helpful in making the right choices for wine and appetizers. Loved the mussels!
OUTSTANDING! The cheese appetizer was absolutely the bomb!
I highly recommend this place. The food and drinks were amazing. Service was also great.
Fantastic quaint restaurant with a very well thought out menu and delicious wine pairings. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a romantic evening out!
As usual, perfect in every way. Don’t let the noise level bother you. It adds to the fun, hospitable atmosphere. Service is friendly, smart, informed and unobtrusive. Food is perfect, as are the mixed drinks and wine list.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. Every course was delicious! I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again!
Great service, Patrick was awesome. We had a great time!
