La Cave - Wynn Las Vegas
It just wasn’t great. We knew it was small plates but heavens. The food was simply wasn’t the best. We were disappointed. For Vegas, just expected more.
Always great food, service, is wine and the best dessert.. s’mores flatbread.
Beautiful place...nice servers...but the portions are SO OUTRAGEOUSLY PALTRY it is ridiculous...We understood it was a "small plates" situation going in but this was just taking advantage of people. We would have had to order 15 -18 "small plates " to satisfy the four of us.....The bottled wine prices were all insane but we expected that....they only had 1 pinot grigio option by the glass which was strange. We didn't care for the pinot they had.
All the food that came out was tasting pretty good but it was like eating "pretzel bite" portions. There just wasn't enough for any kind of satisfaction....Sorry but never again.
A hidden gem
We have been to La Cave many times. We have had great dining experiences before, but tonight was not good. The wine was corked and the service subpar. We were disappointed. The staff kept coming by and tried to take the menus and wine list. The staff was too busy trying to take the menus to pour the wine (the uncork wine we eventually ordered) or ask about the food. I feel La Cave went from an unique, special experience to something just the opposite. Feels like a factory. Go somewhere else.
Exceptional experience with food, drink and service to match
Very disappointed in the overall experience. Portion sizes were very small for the price. One of the meals was made incorrectly and my wife at her meal alone while I waited. On my opinion we should have received some kind of comp!
We had a great meal at La Cave. Each of our plates was delicious, as were our drinks. (I had the Fizzy wine flight.) The service was outstanding. It was a memorable meal to end our stay in Vegas. We’ll be back to dine again.
Food and service was excellent as it has been very time I have been there.
Great food and service. Had a great dinner. Wine and drink pricing were higher than I might have expected. But the restaurant is a winner!
La Cave was amazing - we were a group of 5 and we ordered 5 plates (2 of which were the flatbreads) and a bottle of wine. We all felt satisfied when finished and the food was outstanding. We also appreciated the sommelier coming over to help us choose a bottle of wine. He was extremely knowledgeable and we all LOVED the bottle he chose. I would return to Vegas just for La Cave, what an excellent place!
Fun place for dinner. Cool vibe and the music was good, but not too loud, so friends could hear each other easily. The food was good, other than the chilled chicken wings, which was a weird thing the menu.
I have eaten at LaCave several times. It is always an enjoyable experience
What a lovely restaurant. We surprised our friend with a birthday lunch and could not have been happier with our choice. The service was exceptional. The food was most memorable. Sitting outside on the deck was the perfect way to celebrate a momentous occasion and the end of summer. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
The food was amazing. We loved the concept of butler served brunch instead of a traditional buffet. Our waitress seemed to forget about us but the other staff was very accommodating. We will definitely be back.
Tapas style service. We were very happy with the offerings both food and drinks. Short Rib Tacos a must.
Loved the food
We always love this restaurant however, this time they had a private party so we were really crammed in the bar area. Next time I would ask before making reservations.
I chose this restaurant as my daughter wanted to take me to dinner for my birthday and we were on the strip as she was visiting from NY for the spa conference. The prices seemed pretty reasonable considering being at the Wynn and also being on the strip. The restaurant is on the smaller side, very comfortable, great views and ambiance, nice decor. We wanted to sit outside but they had a private party so they put us near the patio and once the party ended they opened the doors and we felt like we were outside anyway. Our waiter was only so so. Not very attentive, took forever to get our drinks for some reason. I had noted in my reservation that it was for my birthday and not one person ever said happy birthday or did anything special for it which I found very strange. I mean why ask if your going to ignore the reason someone is there. Being my third birthday dinner at different places and different people it didn’t matter too much, however, I must note the other two restaurants were really over the top with well wishes and I received a free dessert at each one. All that said, we had a very nice time, enjoyed the ambiance very much and the food was good not outstanding. The plates are small and meant to be shared so we had bacon wrapped dates, how can you go wrong with these, the Caesar salad was pretty lame with very little dressing and I don’t typically like a lot of dressing but this was almost dry, their flat bread was ok, great crust but the margarita was large chunks of tomatoes and small spots of cheese just not anything great. The sea bass was awesome very tasty, cooked perfectly. We had a mousse cake which took forever to get to our table because I feel like they had to defrost it before bringing us a piece. It was still pretty cold and dense for a mousse. It was tasty though if you like chocolate.
Disappointing overall. Inattentive staff. Only about 1/2 of the dishes on the brunch menu ever came by.
Food was just meh. The short rib was great, but the chicken and waffle was literally the worst waffle I have ever had. The rest was just ok.
Always one of my favorite lunch spots in Vegas. Consistently good food. Recently enlarged and enclosed patio which means you’re closer to the pool but roomier.
Food is great minus the Moroccan Chicken skewers. Beautiful restaurant, but he advised that it is pretty darkly lit.
Too loud. Horrible acoustics
Decided to come here before going to see Ali Wong at the theatre. The service & ambiance were outstanding!! The salmon sashimi tostada, baked meatballs & gnocchi were amazing. We felt the roasted beets were ok...not our favorite at this particular spot. Overall outstanding and we’ll definitely be back and recommend.
Wonderful atmosphere- had several dishes to share. Don’t miss the beef carpaccio!
Feels pricey for what you get. The food is fine, but nothing that makes me want to go back.
The brunch food is great, but the service was terrible. The butler style brunch, where servers bring the brunch items to your table was slow and many times when they got to our table, there wasn't any left. We had to ask many times to try to get some of the brunch items. This was not an enjoyable experience.
Staff was very attentive re my but allergy. But did mix necsbd my date up. She’s not allergic
The short ribs snd eggs are excellent. A smudge too greasy
The head waitress can’t remember her name but she was amazing
We were seated with a view to the outside and in the middle and so the ambiance was perfect. The food was flavorful and the service was almost perfect, but like in many restaurants the bus person started to remove my plate before I was done and didn't ask before he grabbed it. It's a simple thing to train, but not many restaurants to a very good job at it. Our server, Tom, was perfect. Timing, explanations and friendliness. I'd go back.
What an incredible afternoon for brunch! It’s just a totally self indulgent experience that everybody should do. The room is beautiful and nobody rushes you out to turn a table. Our reservation was at 11:30 on Saturday and we didn’t leave till almost 3 o’clock. The food was amazing! I highly recommend getting the Bottomless brunch libations for an additional $29 – so worth it. So many amazing dishes. It was just a wonderful way to spend the day. Can’t wait to go back!
I was with a group of 8 girls, celebrating my sister’s bachelorette, it was wonderful. The food was great and so was the staff. I can’t wait to go back!
It was awesowe. Our server, Fernanda was great!! The food was great!!
Very urban/modern vibe during our lunch. The seats and view were great! The food was outstanding! The music that was played fit the environment. Great experience for my wife and I!
Mother daughter dinner and show. Amazing food, the citrus lettuce crab bites where the best crab I’ve ever had in my life.
The food was amazing! Great selection for everyone's dietary needs. Our group had a some girls with vegan and vegetarian specific diets and they were able to enjoy full plates and not have to worry about eating around items, or having a dinner consisting of only sides. Beautiful decor as well.
Every time I'm in Vegas- La Cave is a must! The service and food is phenomenal.
We mentioned that we had a birthday in the party when we booked. This was acknowledged by the hostess on arrival at the restaurant but that was as far as it went. Disappointed not to be offered a gesture after the meal.
