Don't call it a wine bar. At least proprietor Michael Morton, of the famous Morton restaurant family, prefers not to describe his unique La Cave concept in such limited terms. With its tempting small plates menu, stylish surroundings and well rounded beer and spirits selection, La Cave is about more than simply good wine. This cozy Wynn hideaway is a wonderland of coved ceilings, wrought iron, polished woods and glass panels. Chef Bill DeMarco, a protégé of chef Charlie Palmer, crafts a beguiling menu of flatbreads, tapas-like small plates, grilled meats and platters of charcuterie and gourmet cheese - each meant to be a perfect pairing to one of La Cave's many wines. With its sexy and fun vibe, this cave devoted to vino-pleasures comes replete with an outdoor dining terrace overlooking landscaped gardens and pools. Morton sums it up best, "I want people to leave feeling as though they just went to the best dinner party. Great food, great wine, great music, great friends"

Private party facilities
Spacious and softly lit, the main dining room offers seating at sleek wooden tables or cozy booths, accommodating up to 50 guests for a seated event or 75 for a reception. A ten person "share table" allows for intimate wine tastings and special decanting events. With its low slung ceiling, the cave-like Cellar can accommodate 16 guests on one, long bar-height table for a seated event. An arched steel gate features Latin phrases extolling food, wine and the arts, evoking the feeling of an exclusive wine cellar in Tuscany. The Garden Lounge recalls an oversized, stylish living room where guests can unwind with a glass of wine and several savory small plates. This lovely lounge accommodates a maximum of 50 guests for a seated event or 100 for a reception. When an event encompasses all three spaces, guests will truly find a one-of-a-kind destination that invites them to experience the true meaning of 'in vino veritas' in a sophisticated yet relaxed setting.

The dinner and the service were really great!! Highly recommend! The only downside of this establishment was the fact we had a loud pretentious table next to us, which could not be helped lol! Great food, great wine selections, great service!

The lump crab lettuce wraps were amazing! Also loved the seared scallops. Try the beignets for dessert with 3 delicious dipping sauces. We sat out on the patio which was lovely. Nice casual atmosphere with excellent service.

This place is beautiful, but wow is it expensive! And our waitress was rude, which was surprising for such an upscale establishment. She recommended the skirt steak to me which had literally zero flavor. The short ribs were very good, but 2 glasses of wine and 2 very small plates was $105. Insanity.

I was excited to go here as I really enjoy small plate dinning. We were seated at first inside but quickly realized the music was so loud we couldn’t talk. We were changed to a table outside. Much better. We ordered our drinks and he food at the same time. Within 5 minutes we receive our first dish.

We ordered:
1. Bacon wrapped dates
2. Mexican Street corn - as a side
3. Beef flat bread
4. Moroccan chicken skewers

The dates were very bland, not hot just like warm. Nothing special whatsoever. The blue cheese dip they had was light and airy like a mousse

Our drinks were delivered well after our dates.

The Mexican corn was then delivered. Now I’ve been to Mexico many, many times and the street corn there is sweet, salty from the cheese and simply delicious. This was very acidic from the first bite. Kinda of like eating a sweet tart. Not god enough to halfway finish the dish.

He flat bread was tasteless as well. Instead of being savory and delicious it was dry and the beef was tough.

Lastly the chicken skewers, dry, dry, dry!!!!! I ate one small piece and drank most of my water!!!

Would I waste another $120? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

My husband and I chose La Cave for a light meal before seeing a show at the Wynn. We were seated on the covered balcony (very nice!). The tapas portions were just right; I chose a flatbread (yum) while my husband chose Moroccan Chicken (good, not great). The highlight of the meal were the wine flights, which offered a nice selection of different wines to try. If you are a wine lover I'd try La Cave.

Kick back within a beautiful relaxed environment, eat some amazing bites from a variety of great small plates and drink delicious wine. This wine dive is our 'go-to' gem every time we're in town. We were staying at the Wynn for our wedding/honeymoon. We walked by La Cave one day, and decided to go there for dinner. From the moment we arrived, we received 5 star treatment! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu & recommended great dishes for us to try. We are vegetarians, and she brought us a specific vegetarian menu filled with pastas, salads & small plates to try. We loved the wine pairings & the tofu sliders were amazing!

I have a bad seafood allergy. I notified the server right away and he assured me of no issues. (The restaurant does have a special menu ). Anyways the first item came with food cooked with fish/seafood. ( server had told me he would not include that item). I had to find the server to give it back! The rest of the food was pretty good.

Table wasn't ready at our reservation time and we were invited to sit at the bar. Bar was full though, so we went back outside and were told our table would be ready in a moment. Took a full 15 minutes before we were seated...and we couldn't help but notice that there were numerous empty tables where we could have been placed in the meantime. The small plates of food was very tasty, but all came out at once, when a little space between would obviously have been a better way to enjoy. All in all, I'll look elsewhere next time I'm in town.

I stay at the Wynn 2x per year for business. I always make sure to schedule at least 1 meal at La Cave. Small plates makes for an interesting meal. There is always enough to share with your dining companions. I particularly like the bacon wrapped dates ;) My one complaint is that they keep the restaurant very dark. Throughout the restaurant you will see diners using their phones to light the menu so it can be read. I guess that's why its called La Cave. BTW, the Sommelier who helped us last time (late July 2018) was excellent - knowledgeable, personable and a great salesman.

We went to La Cave twice while we were in Vegas. The first was a gathering with friends for brunch. The dim sum style was so fun and all of the food was delicious. We also loved the setting. Sitting outside but still being protected from the heat was such a pleasure. Because my husband and I were staying at the Wynn, and because he'd seen the extensive beer list while we were at brunch, he insisted we return for Happy Hour later in the week.
