Hostess refused to reseat our table in main dining area after we requested a seat that was not directly beside the kitchen entrance. 3 guests stared directly into kitchen when doors opened. All guests had waiters and noise from kitchen. Had reservations for 6 for a 40th birthday. Hostess rude. Unwilling to push 2 tables together even though room basically empty. Waiter very attentive food good but festive atmosphere dead in big side room.

We had early (5:30) Reservations on New Year’s Eve. Wait staff and ambience were excellent. Caesar salads were yummy as were both of our desserts. However the New York Strip steak entree was very disappointing, bland and very fatty.

We did not start well with the wobbly table and our entrees being served before we finished our appetizers, however the entrees were excellent, the dessert was fantastic, and the service very friendly and attentive. Very pleased.

So satisfying we’re going back for New Year’s Dinner. Highly recommended - even in the crowded foodie scene in Santa Fe.

We have eaten here twice. It’s a lovely restaurant with wonderful food. They were extremely helpful in giving advice about dishes. They indicated that the mussel starter was a very large dish—-easily entree size. Therefore we split the mussels and then split an entree which was perfect for us. The poached pear dessert was amazing.

Casa Sena has been a favorite since opening and we've dined there multiple times per year for decades. This was our first bad experience due to a cavalier waitress. I told her that I could eat no sucrose or fructose, and was highly specific about wanting to know ingredients in potatoes Obrien that accompanied my steak. She wouldn't tell me ingredients and said I could eat them. Well, they contained sweet potatoes and I had one bite, which made me I'll for 24 hrs. Extreme abdominal pain. I was angry with the waitress.

We had a terrific meal, seated near the fireplace. The quinoa-stuffed eggplant was excellent, and my husband’s elk was tender and perfectly cooked.

We had a wonderful dinner. The wine list is outstanding and our red was a very good value. The staff was attentive and friendly but we were not rushed. The grilled Elk was tender and delicious. The salad was colorful. We thought Casa Sena was better than a higher rated local restaurant. Highly recommend it!

We came in late and were seated quickly. The restaurant was pretty quiet for a Friday night. The beet salad was very good, sea bass was excellent, and enchiladas were pretty good too. Good wine selection and nice atmosphere. Would go back and would recommend.

Top notch in Santa Fe, and never disappoints. Excellent, attentive service; creative meal choices (try the mussels-unexpected for landlocked Santa Fe); a wonderful experience.

Great Sunday brunch sitting in a beautiful patio garden. Great service, great food-salmon salad and fish 'n chips, sangria and wine. We were fortunate to have a warm enough late fall patio day. Thanks to all at Casa Sena.

Choice of entrees. The presentation was very nice and thoughtful. We took enough home for the next day.

We dined at La Casa Sena the day before Thanksgiving with my in-laws who were visiting from Mississippi.
The service was top notch and our server was very attentive. Our food was spectacular. We had lamb, fish and tenderloin... everyone was very happy with their choice. The restaurant was very accommodating when we added 2 more to our party and to our 3 year old son. We will definitely return soon!

Two nights before our lunch we has a fabulous dinner at Casa Sena so decided to take a friend for lunch. The food was so mediocre, maybe a different chef? I was taking my daughter for her birthday and a friend who had driven in from Albuquerque for lunch so didn't want to start complaining and further spoil the lunch. The fish and chips with fries was no better than a fast food restaurant. My daughter ate about 1/3 of it. My friend had enchiladas which looked like a mess on the plate. She said it was nothing special but did eat 2/3 rds of it. I had the mixed green salad which was great. The added chicken was just ok.
I do want to say that when we had dinner of salads and lamb rack the food was fabulous.
So not sure if we should try again or not.

We always like dining here when in Santa Fe. This time they were below their standard. The wine service and table service were excellent. The kitchen detracted from the experience. The wait for our food was extremely long. Further, my wife ordered the Elk and the waitress said there was no problem of having it cooked medium. When our food finally arrived the Elk was on the rare side of medium rare. It was sent back and another extended wait. It was cooked perfectly the second time around. Ultimately the food was good and we hope this was just an off night for the restaurant.

One of the best meals we have ever had. The elk tenderloin was magnificent. We tried the roasted beet salad with the edible dirt - delicious - and the carpaccio. Everything was simply perfect. I would return here again and again. Great location, attentive service, lovely setting.

Our server was a bit surly & seemed put out with us. I ordered a birthday dessert after my friend had paid the check; the server seemed annoyed to have to run another ticket.
Otherwise, we had a pleasant evening & a delicious dinner.

very unusual, trout was poorly cooked/seasoned. sorry wife and friend did not send it back. my cheese enchiladas were cooked on a tortilla type chip, burnt on the bottom, had to use a knife to cut. this was a poor, but expensive, dining experience.

We were a party of two and enjoyed our dinner at La Casa Sena. We had the beet salad, two orders of the trout, and wine. Food and wine was very good. The only complaint on the trout is that the menu description did not match the food. The "artichoke risotto cakes" tasted nothing like artichokes and the flavor was overpowered by feta and black olives. Tasted okay, but not how it was described. Great ambiance and service.

We came for our anniversary and the food was fantastic. Maybe it was because of where our table was located (in the corner), but we had a hard time getting regular service from our waitress. For example, we had to wait a bit to order second glasses of wine, I wanted an extra side of condiment for my entree and had to wait at least 5 minutes until I saw her and we had to flag her down from a distance.

I have always been a fan of anything Gerald Peters launches. My wife and I was at one of his banks (Century) in Albuquerque and I meantioned that we were fans of Mr. Peters art and the branch manager gave us a tour through the bank, showing us the art on display, what a treat! La Casa Sena is a great experience, all around cultural experience, as well as great food!
