La Casa Sena
GREAT. We were greeted by Manager Matt and seated at great table near a hundred year old tree. Our waitress Maria was the best. The brunch food was delicious and enjoyed on the most beautiful patio in all Santa Fe. Many thanks to All at Casa Sena for a memorable day.
This was a FUN evening. We started out with wine and lovely starters. My husband and I had the beet/avocado salad... delish! Then I had fish and he had the pistachio crusted lamb. Just as we finished and we’re thinking about coffee ... the rain with drops the size if dinner plates, lightening flashes, and thunder booms got going! We were all re-seated inside with the hostess saying: “we’re all in this together!” A great adventure was had by all!!
I've always had great experiences at La Casa Sena but the latest was off the charts. Beautiful evening in their beautiful courtyard. Our waiter was great at recommendations and scallop dish I had was fabulous!
Our waiter, Ben, was great and so helpful with the ordering since we had never been for dinner. The mussels were delicious and generous. The beet salad presentation was beautiful and tasty. We had scallops and trout and both were fantastic and perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back.
This restaurant will always be one of the prettier patios in Santa Fe. However they really need to upgrade the food as Santa Fe has opened a lot of nice new restaurants and the food there seems rather bland. For example I ordered a ceasar salad with steak. the steak was on a separate plate next to the Cesar —It was on the dry side and they did not even bother to cut it. The presentations of Caesar salad’s in upscale restaurants these days can just be lovely it was very ordinary. They need a new dynamic chef with a new menu and it would be fabulous restaurant! And the patio might be worth it for some just to have a Santa Fe experience outdoors in a great part of town!
We were here in July and had lunch in the garden and you could not ask for a more perfect spot. The food is always wonderful too.
Delicious, great service and fabulous setting! We enjoyed the vegetarian strudel very much.
The experience was excellent! We took our waitress suggestion of black mussels and sea scallops and it was prepared perfect!! Served with creole sauce and chorizo bits that set it off. Will definitely return!
Hubby and I went for brunch. Loved the outdoor seating area. Great ambience. Wonderful service and delicious food!
Best dinner date I’ve ever had
Food and service makes the experience and ambiance great.
Outstanding courtyard dining. Like going on a time trip to 16th century Spain.
Great with children.
We sat inside for lunch as it was too hot and crowded on the patio and what a calm and serene delight. The fish and chips and the felafel were excellent as were the sides on both entrees. There was a mix-up with our order but our waiter was gracious and offered a complimentary dessert. We had the key lime pie which was delicious. I will not slam another nearby restaurant that is very popular that we mistakenly went to a few days earlier never to return. For the same cost you can have a delightful lunch with great service and delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Food was lovely unfortunately the service seemed degrade/slow down as the night went on, possibly because it was busier than they might have expected it to be or they were otherwise short-handed compared to the number of patrons.
The service was not to the typical standard and they did not have the ingredients to one of their signature cocktails.
The overall experience was off.
I’d go back but not for a while.
Food was excellent!! Service excellent too, people very nice!!!
Outstanding food and service.
This was my first time and first meal in Santa Fe. We shared a “bitter” salad which was anything but bitter. The greens were fresh, the dressing sweet, and the goat cheese, figs and pomegranate seeds a perfect complement. For dinner I had the lamb rib which was exquisite! My husband enjoyed his sea bass but I was less wowed by it. For dessert we shared the chocolate bomb which was Devine.
This is some of the best outdoor seating in Santa Fe. We say under Willy, the 150+ year old cottonwood tree in the courtyard. The drinks are great. Staff and bartenders are helpful and friendly. The beet salad was deconstructed with all my favorites - red and yellow beets, avocado, watermelon radish and something I've never tried before - edible dirt. It was fantastic. The scallops were fresh, on a bed of black rice with a crisp wonton and a light creole sauce that added the perfect amount of flavor to the other tastes and textures. One of my favorite places in town.
Courtyard romantic, service great, food fabulous I always love this place!
Very good experience throughout from sitting on the charming patio to our server (Jamie H.) to the food and wine. Delightful early evening meal.
I’ve eaten La Casa Sena several times. Food and cocktails are generally good. A bit overpriced but the ambiance on the patio is great!
Great atmosphere and service. For us for the first time, food was hit and miss - depending on what was ordered.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal here recently. Every dish was uniquely prepared and exploded with flavor. We started with the roasted beet salad, then had the sea bass and rack of lamb entrees. Their cocktails were also very unique. Best meal of our stay in Santa Fe.
Yes I would recommend from my last visit not this one. I do think we chose wrong with the gazpacho & spring rolls. We had no idea it was a fruit gazpacho made with perhaps pears or mangoes. Disappointing. The spring rolls were dried out, uncuttable or chewable. I told the waitress to inform the chef. She said she did. She also should have removed it from our $71 lunch ticket.
Menu has changed! My main reason for dining here is the outside patio and trees and plants. Will be awhile before returning.
Outstanding food, service & entertainment!
Fantastic food and patio ambiance
We had the Lamb Chops and Duck Breast. Both EXCELLENT! Wines were good . Service excellent and professional .
Would have given the food a five star review if my beef carpaccio wasn’t covered in hard boiled eggs that were NOT listed on the menu description of the dish. I was extremely disappointed as I HATE hard boiled eggs with a passion and our server didn’t offer to return it to the kitchen
We always love our times at the restaurant. Love the outside patio. A wonderful experience
We loved the outside seating arrangement. The waiter was very knowledgable about the wine and the food.
We arrived at 4:45 on a summer evening. The place was empty. We had reserved patio seating for four. The patio is lovely and filled with trees and umbrellas. They gave us the unique table that had a roasting desert summer sun set. They were unaware and disinterested in our experience. They refused to improve out experience. I roasted as the setting sun hit directly on my body. The food was mediocre. The price for the mediocre food was very high. La Casa Serena is expensive. The wait staff and manager were indifferent and poorly trained. They don't care. They just want your money.
Beautiful courtyard. Enjoyed the Wasabi Crab salad and gazpacho.
Service and food was exceptional
Always love La Casa, especially the patio. No better place to spend a summer evening! Food and service always top notch. We return every time we're in Santa Fe!
Sean, our waiter was wonderful, answering all our questions and making some good suggestions. Our dinners were wonderful from the moment we saw the presentation through the last delicious bite. We were able to sit outside under a canopy of trees on a warm summer evening.
We had lunch in the patio/garden and it was very pleasant. The food, as usual, was good.
The food and service were very good. We enjoyed the music although it was not in the same class as prior visits.
The live piano and singing in the cantina is amazing! If you love musical theatre this is the place for you! What a wonderful way to spend your evening. Highly recommend!
