La Casa Pasta
As you open the doors to La Casa Pasta, your senses will be stimulated with the aromas of freshly-pressed pasta, delicately made sauces and warm, baked breads fill the air. Critics will agree that the tastes are even more satisfying.
Set in classic Italian decor, our marble floors, breathtaking art and stone statues representing our heritage will surely impress you and your guests.
Chef and Owner Giuseppe Martuscelli's roots and knowledge of fine foods and wines originated in the town of Santa Maria Di Castellabate near Salerno, Italy. Giuseppe came to America with the Italian Navy in 1967 and returned to stay in 1973, settling in Newark, Delaware to open La Casa Pasta in 1978.
Since then, he has made it his goal to serve only the most authentic Northern and Southern Italian foods. Each year, he travels back to his homeland and beyond to learn new recipes and import ingredients not to be found in the states.

homemade cheese filled ravioli, topped with sweet tomato sauce
Always good food , excellent service, pleasant dining experience
Our first dinner with good friends in more than a year. Tables were well spread out and vigorously cleaned between patrons. As usual, the service was impeccable, our meals were excellent, the entire environment was relaxed and leisurely. We will return.
Great COVID protocols applied for safety. Food was terrific. We had Shrimp Scampi, Veal Saltimbuca, and chicken parmigiana plus Italian board. All good
The best Veal Parmigiana I have ever had. The caesar salad was excellent, I haven't had one that good since they stopped making them table side.
The food, service and adult beverage were incredible. I sat at the bar. My only feedback is a very outdated , old restroom. Given the clientele, the restaurant truly fails to improve the facilities.
The white wine (Pinot Grigio) was not good. There were not multiple choices, so that was what was served. Other than that wine, our entrees were all very tasty and Wanda was an efficient and professional server.
I feel that with the climate being what it is and with so many other choices, LaCasa Pasta needs to refresh everything from their decor to the food and the appearances of the wait staff. I would give it another chance and order something different than what I chose on this occasion. Going out to eat during the pandemic is a big deal with regards to safety and the cost. Nothing irks me more than paying a lot for food and going home disappointed.
Great meal, as always!
You can never go wrong with a tender veal, but every time we go there the food is excellent and the attention to detail, always my favorite place to celebrate special occasions .
Our meals were delicious and were prepared exactly as described. Our server, I believe his name is Cole, was friendly, professional and attentive. The meal was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we were happy afterward that we chose to celebrate at La Casa Pasta.
We visit La Casa Paste one or two times a month. The food is delicious and the same quality every time without fail. Staff is professional and friendly and will do whatever they can to resolve any issues. This restaurant was not taken over by some "restaurant group" as another person said. The Martuscelli restaurant group is the same family who opened the restaurant and has always owned it. Someone said the food was better when Giuseppe was in the kitchen. Well he's still there but I believe is down at the Chesapeake Inn which they also own most of the time. If anyone had messed with his recipes or processes I think they would hear about it. Yes we are perhaps biased but we would not give them our business an average of 20 times a year or recommend them to anyone if they were not great. Try them yourselves and you be the judge. :)
Restaurant was busy and still quiet due to table spacing. Great drinks, great meals, great service. What more could you want?
That restaurant NEVER disappoints. It was delicious and I can't wait to go back. Love La Casa Pasta
It made my birthday pert!
This particular night was a little more crowded then it has been over the last year, but still not at full capacity, and we felt very rushed. The waiter brought out our salads while we were still enjoying our appetizers. We had to ask him to slow it down, as we didn't want to be rushed through our dinner.
Wonderful evening out. Food was amazing. Service was amazing. I highly recommend the Muscles Fra Diavolo as an appetizer.
It was okay nothing like years ago Food was much better when Giuseppe was in the kitchen
Great food. Great service. Always a pleasure. We will definitely be back.
I had a reservation at 11:30am. I enter the restaurant at 11:30, just to see the restaurant completely empty, no hostess, no customers, just music playing. My dad and I looked at each other like "is this place even open?" Because it was our first time here, and a friend recommended this place to me, we wanted to give it a solid chance (also we were starving and didn't want to go anywhere else). After about 5 minutes of just waiting, someone finally saw that we were waiting and sat us down. She said she didn't hear the door open, but I wouldn't think that would matter if she would have seen we had made a reservation, she should have been expecting us. We were seated, we ordered our food, and received our food fairly quickly. Our waitress had never stopped by to ask how our food was, but it was horrible. The sauce of our pasta was very bitter and the temperature of the food it was obvious it was most likely microwaved. She said she would refill our drinks, but ended up never doing so (it was literally us and another party in the establishment, I can understand if she was busy with a lot of people, but it was dead). The portions were tiny, the prices are high, and the food is bad. Waitress was less than friendly. Save your money and go somewhere else.
I had Broccoli Rabe with Sausage - excellent! Our waitress, Casey, was fabulous. We had a very enjoyable dinner with friends.
One of our favorite go-to’s when we are looking to celebrate a special occasion. We are always pleased with the service and the food. We recently celebrated a birthday with a party of four. The server was there immediately upon us being seated and drink orders were placed and delivered in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend the bruschetta and calamari. They had oysters on the half-shell...so of course we had those too. Entries included crab ravioli, lobster ravioli, shrimp scampi, and cheese ravioli. Several take-home containers were requested to save room for dessert. That included lemon sorbet and orange sorbet (served in a frozen, hollowed out lemon and orange, respectively) and a gelato sampler. And of course coffee...which, in my opinion, is the best coffee I have ever had. Highly recommend La Casa Pasta!
Been acquired by a restaurant group since our last visit. Food was ok. Not nearly as good as when they were independent.
Great spot for lunch. Creme Brûlée was great. Thank you.
Every time we visit I order something different and each time it’s incredible and delicious. The food and service are both great! Highly recommend for a great date night.
I recommend to eat here, I would definitely go eat there again! Food was delicious, people there were very nice, atmosphere was very pleasant. Prices on the food not bad at all. Check it out.
Loved our late lunch at La Casa Pasta. You must order one of their homemade pasta dishes when you come here.. the lasagna was classicly delicious and the lobster ravioli light and mouthwatering.
Haven't had a bad meal here yet! Great atmosphere, great food, friendly people.
I hate to open with a negative but if you only read one sentence: avoid the salads. They are exceedingly over priced and not a good value at all. I really hate saying something so negative about this place, but it’s true. My family purchased 3 Caesar salads which cost $24 and we could have gotten the same amount of food for $6 at Wendys. It’s also a lesser quality salad than say the FREE side salad served at chain restaurants such as Longhorn. It’s just not acceptable. I shrugged off the cost because of the times and knowing they contribute to charity, but any other day I would have polititely had a discussion with the waitress.
That aside, I love this place. Their food is simply fantastic. I’ve either had or sampled the ravioli, gnocchi (soft like a pillow, as it should be in my opinion), the carbonara, fried calamari, lasagna, veal saltimbocca, and the branzino. All the pasta is of high quality, and the sauces were great. I want to particularly call out the veal and saltimbocca. The Marsala sauce was simply exquisite and the branzino was so finely prepared and some of it practically melted in my mouth.
Again, I hate to have opened this review with such a negative comment but I have to be honest, but don’t let that stop you from going here. The food is amazing, just don’t get taken for a ride with the salads (sorry La Casa Pasta).
it was chilly so take a sweater in the winter. But food was good. Lasagna was the best but not a big portion.
I always love going there - i had the Saltimbuca - delish every time but i didn't see the Gnocchi on your menu anymore :( but again the service was great and the food was excellent as always..
The food at La Casa Pasta is outstanding! If you're unsure, any of the homemade pasta dishes will delight you. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. This is a really nice restaurant for date night!
The food and service were great. We enjoyed the festive atmosphere also.
LaCasa Pasta is a family favorite! Years ago, I would walk there from the neighborhood just to get their amazing pizza!
This restaurant is one of our favorites. Great food, great service.
This place is awesome the food was fantastic and the service was great. Everyone we had from appetizers to dessert was amazing. I will definitely return when I am in the area again.
We have been going to La Casa Pasta for over 40 years. It is always been one of my most favorite places to have a special dinner.
We had a simple dinner no occasion. The quality and outstanding service of this amazing restaurant never wanes. We were lucky enough to meet the owner/founder! Compliments to every aspect of this amazing place!
Dinner was very good and our waiter was great.
La Casa Pasta is always amazing! The food is excellent and the service is always a 10 out of 10. Thank you for another great meal!
Excellent food and service. Plus you DO have anchovies for the Caesar
