La Casa Italian Grill Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic restaurant with wonderful food and ambiance. We had great service, including the owner stopping by our table. My only negative is that they pretty much cut out the lights on us around 9:45 as I guess a message it was time to leave. I think the restaurant may close at 10 but it would have been nicer is they just stopped by our table and told us they were closing in 15 minutes instead of putting us in near darkness as a hint.
We always have a great experience at La Casa. The special was fabulous - Grouper and Shrimp over gnocchi, artichokes and a Mediterranean mix of vegetables and flavors. From the appetizer to dessert, every bite is delicious. The service was excellent and Pascale is an attentive and charming host. Highly recommend this restaurant for groups or just lunch or dinner.
Our FAVORITE Italian restaurant...EVERYTHING is always on point. We had the Grouper special and it was delish. They also have best spaghetti and meatballs in town and impeccable service to boot. We're bringing a dozen family members from NY here over Thanksgiving and they appreciate great Italian food!
It was a quick trip to Alpharetta and I’m a sucker for Italian food. La Casa did not disappoint! The dish was great and wine paired perfectly. Dessert was a great finish. Pasquale (the owner) was very kind and could be seen helping out around the restaurant.
Very good food! Waitress was more concerned with the rules than the customer...... so sad! We are SO easy going but alterations seemed to offend? Too much competition for you to take your eye off the ball right now. She even chased us out the door to tell us she was sorry that she couldn't meet our standards? We never said a thing prior and tipped her well!! We guess she felt our pain..... Good luck La Casa!!
I had the assorted seafood in Ragu sauce., very bland not what I expected from an Italian restaurant. Two of the shrimp tasted bad I had to spit them out. The waitress said she would tell the chef. Staff needs more training and should be better acquainted with the menu.
Owner met me at door. Super nice guy. Told me even though I had reservation to only seating was outside. Georgia in August outside stinks. I decided to stay because there is very little parking in the area and it already was 7:45. They brought wrong apps and then when bill came had two items I did not order. He fixed it all but not a great first experience. Food was average. I love Italian no plans to go back but glad I tried it
Never again. We were visiting Alpharetta from Scottsdale to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. Our reservation noted this so a special table/welcome should have been accommodated. The owner himself was our server. Worst service we have ever experienced. He was beyond rude. We even caught him rolling his eyes at our one of our simple requests, we waited for 30 minutes for the promised bread service and, at the end of our meal, he literally told us we had 5 minutes to leave despite the fact that there was another diner still eating in the ancillary dining room. He also never offered a birthday dessert, or even a Happy Birthday, to the guest we were celebrating despite our reminding him of the special occasion. As a CFO of a business that operates three restaurants, I found his behavior appalling especially considering he is the owner. Stay away. There are far too many excellent restaurants in the Alpharetta area that would welcome and appreciate your business.
My husband and I happened upon this lovely Italian restaurant one evening and dined outside on the front patio which was very romantic. We went back this week with his parents to celebrate their 60th anniversary and the owner was very charming and solicitous of our elderly parents. We had the same waitress both times and she was gracious with great suggestions about the various dishes. Our son, who is a picky eater, had the tortellini with just a plain butter and Parmesan sauce they made for him and he loved it as well as the foccacia and garlic twist rolls. Among us we had the chicken piccata, lasgana bolognese, salmon with lemon wine sauce and eggplant parmigiana and everything was delicious and very authentic. The salads (especially the apple pecan) and the desserts (spumoni in a chocolate shell and chocolate ganache cake) were also wonderful. I recommend the half size salad and splitting the dessert between two people which was perfect for our party.
We love this place. It is one of our favorites. Love supporting local business and the food & service are always wonderful. The owner is always there and goes around to every table to check on his guests. It's a really special place. We have been coming here for 3 years and will continue.
Hmmm. I love this place but this time was not the best. Atmosphere and service really good but food was not their best effort. Bruschetta was boring, no zing and entre of clams and linguine had an Alfredo spin with a creamy sauce vs the usual wine garlic and parsley. I like innovation, but the deal killer was the clams had not been purged...they were gritty.
My friend had lasagna and it was delicious!. Super relaxing atmosphere on the porch.
The best Italian food I have ever eaten! The restaurant is a charming house, the food is perfection, and the service is attentive but not hovering. When in doubt, ask for the servers recommendation- it is always a good choice or a better selection than I would make on my own. The menu is not inexpensive but we have always enjoyed our dining experience there and it is our top place for a special occasion. They have their own private parking lot so we always have had a parking space no matter what was going on in downtown Alpharetta. Make a reservation.
The entire staff was very attentive. They are willing to add or subtract items in a dish, such as I wanted roasted mushrooms added to my pasta dish --no problem. I'm Gluten free and they had a Gluten Free Pomegrantic Martini...which was delicious. My husband the special of the evening (shrimp, scallop risotto) which he said was delicious. They had a nice selection of deserts, I had the chocolocate Mouse Cake (YUM), husband had the cannoli which disappeared quickly.
A bit on the pricey side, but honestly the food, service and ambiance made up for it. Other than the pricing, wonderful place to escape and have a nice peaceful dinner with friends and/or loved ones.
Would go again.
This was our third time back and it's such a gem! It was my husband's birthday and we had a few couples with us and we all raved about the food and service! Pasqual, the owner came over a few times to confirm that our food and service was top notch! We really enjoyed ourselves!
Have eaten here many times and it was our go-to for good Italian. Something has changed recently and not for the better. The food quality has dropped and on Mothers Day they appeared to have only one wait staff. Never came around to ask about the food, fill our drinks or ask if there was anything else we wanted. I'm hoping it was a one-off but the worst possible day to not make customers happy is Mothers Day.
