La Casa de Isaac and Moishe’s Restaurant is the second Mexican restaurant established in Highland Park by the Nava family from Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico. As family owned and operated establishments, the Nava family has brought some unique Mexican dishes to Chicago’s North Shore. Isaac’s Mother’s Favorite Enchiladas – a recipe developed by their mother, Florencia – continues to be a customer favorite. New specialty items are added continually with an emphasis on local favorites from their home region. The Nava family maintains a strong commitment and loyalty to the community by offering unique Mexican dishes with excellent service. They appreciate the support and patronage of their customers.

Great as usual. Lune is the best server. Toatados de civeche a little too spicy

We have been there many times and will most likely not return. We ordered guacamole and when it finally arrived and we started eating it, one of our party found that the guacamole had a metal screw in it. He found it in his mouth. This person made the owner aware. The owner apologized and said he would replace the guacamole. The new guacamole never arrived. When it came time to pay the bill (which had two drinks on it we did not order), the waiter said the owner would come by and address the situation. When he finally arrived, he once again apologized and offered us a $25 gift card for our next visit. He asked if that was enough. It obviously was not, but we did not want to seem like the people who wanted something for the restaurant’s mistake. Following another heated conversation. We just left with our $25 gift card. On our way out the owner asked if wanted something more. He should not have put us in that situation to ask for something to cure the restaurant’s error. He should have just done something more significant at the outset then a $25 gift card for a future visit We did not want to make a scene, but will most likely not return.

We will never go back. It was so noisy we were could not hear each other. The table was so small that the menus were on our chairs because they would not fit on the table. Tables too close to each other. I did not like the food !

Our table was ready. The drinks were good, service was excellent, and the staff was great. No problems for a handicapped person. This is the best Mexican food in the North Shore.
