I hosted my Nursing Scool graduation party here. I was joined by my coworkers, friends and family. We had plenty of space, the ambiance was fun, the food was delicious, our waitress was attentive. Everything was perfect!
Food was fabulous. Waitress was very attentive. Will definitely come again.
Food was semi at best!!!!! Three out of our sick had bad stomach issues that night and the next morning!!!
This was my first time here. The food was great at fita in with other comparables. It was a bit noisy and the waitress would bypass you rather than get you attention for an order. She may have had an off day but overall it was a great experience. Ideal would be not at max capacity.
Very rustic, romantic ambience, like what you would find in Monterrey, NL.
We reserved for our party and the accommodations of seating to service were set beyond expectations, our wait staff was excellent.. Thank you we will be back
This was the first time my husband and I have eaten there and we loved it. Service was fast. Staff were all friendly.
Was very nice atmosphere, servers and service was amazingly helpful.
My waiter was sooooo nice but there waa another waiter she uses glasses she's very rude ahe wanted to serve the table next to ours and almost push my father chair to make a way for herself ....after that everything is delicius and perfect.
It was a family, after church lunch. We had some family members that went for first time and they loved it! They said they will definitely go back! The food was delicious, as always, and we had a great waiter.
Excellent food and service! Always enjoy dining here!
It has been a tradition for over thirty years to gather here. Always good!
I wanted seafood, I have lived in the Cancun area for many years and was disappointed with our seafood choices - vuelva la vida, ceviche and agua chile were all soso. We did enjoy the fried panela cheese - that was out favorite dish of the day. I will return one day to try the seafood soup which was the dish that was recommended to me!
Each time I go to La Calle Doce, it is like a new experience. The worst dinning experience that I had there was wonderful. I hate to recommend it for fear that it will be too full to facilitate me the next time I go. It has the best sea food in Dallas.
Very authentic and comfortable. Loved it
Food was very good. Love the restaurant is divided in to quaint semi-private rooms of a house. Service was good, although nothing special. Hostess was very nice. Overall, it was a very nice lunch.
Loved that the wait staff was attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. It never disappoints when I decide to have a special dinner!
We loved La Calle Doce! Amazing service! Excellent food and a superb staff! Definitely a place to visit again soon. Would recommend highly!
Food was good, service was good. Overall we had a good experience. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Our family eats here often. Great food. Love the Cod Stew and the ceviche. Great selection for seafood lovers and diners who prefer a land based menu.
One of my favorite restaurants in the Oak Cliff area. Always has great food and great service. It was my wife's birthday, and the waiter made us feel especially important. You certainly want to check out the menu, and the ambiance is wonderful. One of the best Mexican food restaurants anywhere!
Wife and I had diner Saturday night at La Calle Doce fro first time. She has a gallery near there in Bishop Arts and this was a pleasant find. Excellent seafood menu with a few beef and chicken options fro "landlubbers". We got there at 9 pm and it was still hopping. Great service and our waiter Jose was attentive and offered great suggestions . I had their signature salmon dish and loved it, wife went with beef enchiladas and said they were great. Their salsa and chips was perfect and the Verde salsa was fantastic. I don't know how I haven't heard of this place before now , but we will be back !
My fiance enjoyed a quiet evening together. The staff is very attentive and the food is tasty
We are from Dallas, but had never heard about this restaurant, we read about it in Goodnight Dallas, so glad we did! We loved the atmosphere and the seafood was excellent!!
We found this place on Trip Advisor and what a gem! The restaurant is open and spacious. When we walked in, there were two guys with guitars serenading each table. They were amazingly talented :) and the food was delicious!! Generous portions indeed.
Great service. Top shelf margaritas were perfect. Food was well prepared and flavorful.
Authentic and delicious
Our group ordered a variety of dishes. It is very nice how a good chef can prepare the same seafood in a variety of tasty entrees. We'll be back for more.
Everything was AMAZING! take your waitress' advice on the appetizers - everything was perfect!
I've been dining here since I was a kid. I recently came back to Dallas and brought my family for some down-home Mexican sea food. Everyone was courteous and respectful. Our food arrived on time and was warm and delicious.
Lots of room for large groups and banquet style events. If you're lucky you'll be seated in the original house structure which is more quiet and better suited for more intimate/cozy dining.
The live music was a nice touch -- and a staple ever since I can remember.
It's not clear to me why The Simpsons was playing on the TVs in the background, but I think that had more to do with the upcoming football game -- we were seated near the rear bar.
La Calle Doce was great! The location is easy to get to, service and food were great, and the margaritas are awesome! Great place to go for a break from the normal tex-me and get Mexican seafood done right. Plenty of stuff on the menu for those who do not prefer fish as well.
This place was by far the best restaurant I've been to since I moved to DFW from Los Angeles. The food and service were exceptionally great. It was my husband's bday so they made him feel special by singing happy birthday to him. Can't wait to go back.
Recommended by a friend, & we were not dissappointed. Will definately eat there again.
The reserved table for 7 was ready upon arrival. The food, service and live music were all excellent.
Experience was very disappointing. Went to La Calle Doce with another couple to celebrate our anniversary. They put us at a table in the bar area, next to the kitchen. The night was spent trying to speak over the noise of the bartender's blender and/or wait staff rushing past our table to and from the kitchen. The food was nothing special and they clearly did not have enough staff to handle the number of customers...I can't recommend La Calle Doce based on our experience and we won't be coming back.
I had never been here before, and found it on Open Table when looking near Bishops Art District. The food was great, the portions large, good service and all for a great price. Will definitely go back!
I have been going to La Calle Doce for 25 years+. The food has always been good, the service impeccable, and the setting comfortable. On this particular visit I tried the Mango Mojito. It's awesome! I also had the Tres Amigos seafood tacos. Yum! I'll continue to go back for another 25 years if I live so long!
From the moment we were promptly and warmly greeted at the door, the dining experience was terrific. Victor, our waiter was engaging but not overbearing. Food arrived quickly, and was presented as expertly as it was prepared. It still feels like you are dining in someone's home, but that's kind of nice. We have dined at the Lakewood location and love it too, but for other good reasons. This is truly one of the best of Dallas.
What a wonderful find for us! The food was fabulous and Alma, our server was AMAZING! She's been at the restaurant for 25 years - that tells you not only what a fabulous restaurant it is but also how this family-owned restaurant has loyal, dedicated employees! The ceviche and paella were absolutely delectable! And the icing in the cake was being serenaded by the wandering guitar artist! Overall it was a great start to a wonderful evening! We will definitely be going back! Oh, and try the margaritas with a shot of sangria! Yum! Hats off to Alma and the entire La Calle Doce family for a wonderful dining experience! 👏😊
Wondering why it has taken me so long to visit La Calle Doce. I've been by the Oak Cliff spot many times. Met a special friend for dinner, she picked it by the way. I've never been big on Mexican seafood. Well, I am now! The Filete De Mojarr was delicious. I'll definitely be back to try the other seafood items. The hostess was a sweetie especially when she saw it was my first visit. Our waiter, Don Peter, was the best.
