Always enjoy our experience at La Calle Doce, whether in Lakewood or Oak Cliff! Great place!
Food was very good and service was outstanding! It’s always a dependable bet!
Made our special occasion even more special! Thank you very much!
One of our favorite restaurants now. We love the original and this location as well.
Very good. But don’t order a margarita on the rocks, though. The last time we ordered one, there was about 4 sips to it because it was all ice. This time we ordered it and requested light on the ice. No such luck. Food is very good. They didn’t register that I’d eaten there, so got a notice from Open Table that I was a no show. 👎
Great food. Service could be better.
Excellent Service, less than 5 minutes we were eating after they take the order. Amazing!!! All delicious!!!
OMG! Great food. Wait staff, clientele, bar staff are great. Guitarist sounds fantastic. Great tuime.
Great Mexican food. Highly recommend for large groups. A+++
Food was great. Service was great. Would definitely go back again.
Our favorite spot when we’re hungry for some Mexican Seafood. Host staff is always very friendly!
Service is always exceptional. On most ocasiones, drinks are always refilled before finished and food is always delivered as expected. Tortillas are always hand made and never have had a hard time with the serving staff. This is the Go-To place for any occasion
My friend and I had never been before and we're both kind of picky so we were worried we wouldn't like it but that definitely wasn't the case! We were immediately greeted and seated. Our waiter was fast, accurate and polite. We never had to ask for a thing! The food was delicious and we waddled happily back to the car haha. We will definitely be back!
Good food, price is also reasonable, tables a little small but made it work.
I have loved this place for 20 years. Great margaritas, cerviche and paella
The atmosphere and music was nice, but a Food was mediocre and service was very poor.
The food was ok. The ambiance was great, live music -there's a guy going to each table and doing song requests. The decorations are fantastic, and drinks are cheap.
We ordered the queso azteca it was very tasty but the sauce was more green chile sauce and a few pieces of avocado just thrown on the plate. I had the shrimp cocktail, which was made out of only tomato sauce and shrimp. More sauce than shrimp, no avocado, onion, or cilantro. It was very bland. We also had a relleno with the seafood stuffing and for some reason it was placed on top of a leaf of lettuce. Not really sure why, but it made cutting into the relleno messy. We asked the server for a recommendation on what type of sauce to put over it and she looked like she had no clue. We also ordered a margarita and a pina colada, the drinks were the best part of the dining experience.
My experience was very unpleasant my waiter was Mr. Lupe and he was not very consistent and when our food got there by an unknown waiter and let our waiter know about our meal he ignored him and then kept complaining about another group of Asian customers seated right next to us and at the end the waiter brought me my check total of $98.57 I place $2.00 tip signed it for a total of $100.57and on Monday my card got chrged for $110.57 the money is not my issue or concern , my concern is the TRUST on the employees overcharging my card without my authorization and then I called the restaurant and the person answering the phone very unprofessionally and the management or any one was not available to talk to about the issue.
I've dined here several times. Great food and great service every time!
Love this place! Had not been there in too long, but for Cinco De Mayo we decided to go. Food is consistent and tasty. Good drinks, great guac and chips! Had a nice evening out.
We went for Cinco de Mayo and had a great time. The food was very good and the atmosphere was great also
Service was good, food becoming more generic Tex Mex
We absolutely love this
Restaurant and drove all the way from Frisco because it is so delicious.
The atmosphere there was quiet and very romantic with low lighting and candles on all tables but we sat in booth and was by bar were could see the Tv's...The fajitas were very good and margaritas where also will definitely go back...Only Dislike: Didn't like I had to pay extra for flour tortillas to go with my left overs which we had to share one container of flour tortillas in first place.
I have not been here in years, but I had a friend that I wantged to take to eat for her birthday, and it was near her work!
Excellent Staff! Great room for parties and celebration. WONDERFUL and creative food!
Good food, but why do Mexican restaurants feel a need for mariachis?? We were eating at the Skillman location, and this guy was BELLOWING so loudly it made conversation difficult. Both locations of La Calle Doce have had "musicians" lately, and at the 12th St. location, the rooms are too small for the excessive volume these guys use to bombard the diners.
I don't know why we made a reservation because it took over an hour to be seated. Our reservation was for 7:30 but everyone that came before as well as some that came afterwards we seated before our group and some had six or more people in their group. I thought this was a going to be a great night for our get together but the start made it to not ever wanting to go back to this restaurant ever again because of the reception and service.
Great place good food drinks an service
Fajitas were terrible. The chicken was not marinated and there was no flavor
As always, the food was great. We usually eat on the patio when the weather permits. This time, it was a bit cool outside and, as it turns out, a bit noisy inside. Service was very good and reasonably fast.
On this particular day, the entrance smelled like sewage. When we asked the waiter, he urged us to speak with the owners, because many others had already tried. Zero excuse for this in a restaurant, that is, if you want customers to return. Also, had to finally leave cash on table and leave, as computerized system was broken. Bad day!
Food was fantastic. But waiter was not so good. We kept on calling him to service us.
I ordered shrimp nachos. They arrived with the tails on and smelling so fishy, it was very unappetizing. I returned them for beef nachos and they were really good. Service was questionable as the apparent manager came over when I asked to return the shrimp nachos and he just stared at me, as if he was annoyed. The server was not much more friendly. Abruptly took the plate away, rolled her eyes and then sat the beef nachos down without checking in and walked off. Really was all of that necessary?
I met my 81 year old father and his wife here. His wife has specifically requested that it be quiet enough so that he could engage in conversation with us. Not only was it quiet enough, it was the best Mexican food I have had in years. I loved my large Vuelve a la Vida ("Oyster, shrimp, scallops, octopus, avocado, & cilantro…will bring you back to life!").... I would eat here weekly if I didn't live in Plano! Maybe I will try for monthly. GREAT PLACE!!!"
I have lived in Dallas for over 40 years can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this place I will definitely be back
Food and service were both excellent. Always a pleasure to dine here.
Always enjoyable. There are times the hostess is a bit aloof, but perhaps that is just her way. Tortillas are some of the best in town and the lunch specials are a cost effective way to have a wonderful lunch.
Great food perfect place for a meeting.
Great food and good service.
Easy Seafood joint in the hood. Didn't realize wAs the sister restaurant to El Ranchito in OC. Consistent and solid.
