Great place in some ways friendly very good hospitality. Veal chop was not very good for the money. Was a porterhouse type chop looked steamed then cooked. Guest hardly ate. Mozzarella bites came clumped together.

We used to go to La Busola in the 1980's but have moved all over since then. We had a chance to revisit on a recent vacation back in NY. The restaurant is still great, the food was fantastic, but very filling. We would recommend a visit for Long Island tourists.

Having recently moved to the area we decided to try La Bussola and were extremely happy with our choice. We were welcomed by a friendly staff and the service and food were both excellent. There was a large party with children seated next to us which made the noise level a little loud, hopefully next time we'll have a quieter table. We will definitely return very soon.

It was my Mom's 92nd birthday. I told them this. I emailed them about this. I told them when we arrived that it was her birthday. I asked for a special dessert, and they said they didn't have any (that's okay), but they TOTALLY disappointed. No recognition. No candle. No NADA. And it was a quiet night (less than 5 tables)...now I know why. I ended up getting sick on the (supposedly) lobster with pasta - 5 teenie tiny pieces of lobster (I think it was lobster), that had turned bad, for $39. My partner had scallops (cold inside and overcooked outside (yes, that's possible when you start off with a frozen product)). She got sick on her meal as well. My Mom had Pasta Primavera on angel hair. Essentially 3/4 lb of overcooked angel hair pasta with vegetables dumped on top...not even mixed in the pasta. Tony needs to have a serious talk with the kitchen staff (He was having cocktails while we were having dinner). I wanted to give them another try from my last experience. Never Again. STAY AWAY!!

What a wonderful experience. It was our first time visiting and we were thrilled with everything. We were greeted by Carlo who made us feel welcome immediately. Our waiter, George couldn’t have been nicer. The food…OMG.. we shared a special pappardelle with lobster sauce that was delicious, pasta was homemade and perfectly prepared. We also had the lobster francese which was also incredible. We cannot wait to return.
