LaBriociola is a very traditional Italian restaurant with an extensive menu. It was fully booked the night we were there and service was stretched.....we had a long wait for our meals. Everyone was happy with their choices and loved the atmosphere.
Date night with my wife. We loved the reastaurant. The food was excellent as was the service. We had the warm seafood salad, the tagliatelle w truffle and the lamb shank. All dishes were excellent. The bread was also very good. The profiterole was also very tasty and freshly made. Unfortunately they call one of he desserts a soufflé but it isn’t. Fortunately the waiter told us that before ordering. Other than that the meal was excellent.
Food was good. Service was weak - waited about 15 minutes before the manager came over who became our server the rest of the meal. They seemed to be short staffed on Valentines Day.
Great, as always! Love coming here!
If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, this is it. This charming, quiet, restaurant feels like someone picked up a neighborhood restaurant in Rome, Naples or Milan and dropped into South of Market. The owners work as servers in the room. They are warm, welcoming and generous. I had the lamb shank, which was absolutely perfect. The pasta is always good, especially good is the lasagna. I've been to La Briciola many times as it has become my favorite Italian restaurant in SF. I had my birthday party there and they were able to accommodate 30 people as they would a large, extended Italian family. I am a New York transplant and I go to La Briciola when I want a hit of home. It reminds me of the great family Italian restaurants in The West Village. It is not to be missed.
Really outstanding service--staff really dedicated to making the evening enjoyable, checked in at all the right times without being overbearing. Food was excellent. Great ambiance for a date/romantic evening.
Great place to have a business lunch. Enjoyed the food, the service was excellent, and the ambience was lovely.
We thouroghly enjoyed dinner there. The food was excellent. I will go back soon.
The seafood spaghetti with black-ink sauce and the ravioli were both very good, as was the dinner salad (fresh, varied leaf veggies).
This was the second time at La Briciola. The staff is friendly and helpful, although the wait staff seemed a bit stretched thin when the restaurant filled up. The food was fabulous. We had 2 specials: swordfish and lamb shank and both were perfectly prepared. The portions were quite generous, leaving us no room for dessert (sigh). We felt like this meal was a good value. Our only complaint was that because there was a fairly large boisterous group seated at the back of this small space the atmosphere was quite noisy, but at least the restaurant had seated these folks as far back as possible. Nice place to dine if you have an evening event at Yerba Buena center.
