About La Bottega - Vail
La Bottega has been a mainstay for both locals and tourists alike since 1997. La Bottega offers authentic Italian cuisine with the Chef Stephen Virion having worked in Tuscany and the Veneto regions of Italy. La Bottega - Vail Ratings and Reviews
our group really enjoyed our meal at la bottega. the menu was very long (could be shortened) but it was nice to have a variety for our large group. we all enjoyed a couple of apps, salads and pastas. everything was fresh, hot and delicious. very extensive wine list, not many options for those with a tight budget but we made it work. server was friendly and timely, checked in just the right amount. when we walked in the front room looked chaotic, could barely get in the door, dirty glasses everywhere, so we worried our experience would be negative. however, our meal was nothing but lovely and the chaos from the front room/entrance obviously did not translate to the dining area/kitchen.
La bottega is one of the best restaurants in Vail.
We had an 8:45 reservation but showed up early in the hopes of getting seated early. The hostess got us a table in the bar area, which was great.
Very cosy place inside. Nicely decorated bar area with wooden tables.
Food is all fresh tasting. Nicely prepared with just the right amount of seasonings. We shared a cezar salad
Good nit exceptional. Then a pizza. Excellent!!
And finally pasta. Tasted home made.
I would go back and i have every time in vail.
We had a great night at La Bottega! Delicious meal and terrific service. We had a party of 10, which the restaurant was happy to accommodate. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals from start to finish. We will definitely go back on our next visit to Vail!
The salmon entree was not even warm when it was served. We were seated in a small dining room upstairs so it took a while for the server to ask about our meal. She offered to have it warmed up but that would have overlooked the fish so I declined. No other consideration was offered
DO NOT GO HERE. This was a horrible dining experience. The only thing worse than the food was the customer service. When we commented on the food being undercooked and poor, their response was 'well you ate it, so tough luck' and 'we don't care if you had a bad experience, people say that to us all the time and we are still going to make money'. The price you pay for average food and the rude managers it not worth it. Horrible experience made worse by the management service.
This was our second time to La Bottega and I remember why we wanted to go back! The bartender is very knowledgeable, the atmosphere is fun, the food is delicious and the service outstanding. Extensive wine list as well. Definitely a destination on a date or with a group!
Went here for an early dinner which as perfect for a quiet dinner with excellent service! We started with the Goat Cheese with Marinara Sauce which as delicious! My husband had the Gnocchi which was delicious! I had a salad and a friend had a pizza which she said was the best she has ever eaten! Dessert was Tiramisu - big enough to share and was also delicious!
We reserved with plenty days of advance to celebrate my wife’s 50th Birthday. They sat us next to a table with three toddlers who screamed all night long.
Then we asked for a wine of the list and they did not have it! Of course won’t apologise and charge us the next selection full price.
Food is very good and the service from the waiter was outstanding.
Place is very expensive
Unfortunately their great lamb got pricy and portion went smaller. Exagerated price vs portion. The worse part, i was a loyal customer in the place and I was treated very roughly by their rude hostess who didnt care about my claim and just kept stating “nothing has changed”! Very dissapointing!
Linguine with clams had no flavor, and the wagyu beef and truffle raviolis were drowning in what tasted like a reduction of beef bullion - no truffle flavor whatsoever. The beef carpaccio appetizer was good, and the spaghetti bolognese that the kids ordered was very good. Service was uncharacteristically slow and we had to remind the waiter of missing drinks as we didn’t get our drink order until we were half way through our dinner entrees. Water glasses sat empty for at least 10 minutes. Desert was supposed to be a warm chocolate lava cake with ice cream, but the lava cake was not warm. Hopefully this was just an off night for them.
Adjacent table was served bread with visible mold and management handling did not include an apology or any effort to quickly remedy their sandwich orders. Instead they were asked why they were sending all sandwiches back when could only see the mold on two. Ravaoli was good but other dishes were fair.
We went to dinner here on Christmas Eve. The hostess was super friendly and kind. We were seated upstairs which we appreciated as the noise level downstairs was extremely loud. Our waiter was a bit pompous. Not friendly. We started with the spinach dip. Very tasty. We enjoyed our meals. The Lamb was excellent. The salmon was also a good choice. The truffle gnocchi was sensational! I had the spicy pasta with salsa. Not something I would get again. We enjoyed ourselves. I think the only thing that stops me from giving a 5 star review was the waiters chilly attitude.
This is one of our go to restaurants when we come to Vail. The food is excellent as well as the service. You can't go wrong with any of the pastas and I love the Sole dish. It does get very crowded so it can get loud, but a small price to pay for a great meal.
